Had a call last night at work stating that I had won a holiday and holiday vouchers and was given the above mentioned number and a ref.code.  I thought it was probably a scam as I had no recollection of having filled out a survey recently enough for a prize to have been given.  Needless to say I did not ring.

I just got a call - exact same info as the others above - £29 booking fee only - They knew my name and some details as I'd entered info for some online questionnaires.

There's no such thing as a free holiday !!

I did enter a draw with 2MinuteDraw.com and apparently I have won.

It was for a 4 night luxury break to Lapland at Christmas,

    or 3000 pound cash alternative.

    I guess it's a scam :-()

    Yep,
Just got the call - withheld number.
Woman on phone sounded only slightly more intelligent than the average hamster.
Advised me I had won a holiday and that I MUST ring before 6 p.m. as that's when they close.
Gave me a reference number and the 08009889900 number.
Rang them and got them to ring me back on my mobile as I was "very interested" - then left them on hold for 40 minutes - Ha!

    Just had THE call -
The caller who asked to speak to my husband and then, on hearing he was at work, told me that my husband had entered a competition for a holiday in Europe worth £2.500 and won. My husband doesn't enter comps but this man knew my husband's e-mail address and age. The caller told me to claim the prize by phoning free number 08009889900 and if I did so immediately I would receive an extra 50 pounds of shopping vouchers.

Many thanks for this website -  found I'm not alone!

1471 shows the caller witheld their number.

Just been called, so maybe it is doing the rounds again, It is a normal Timeshare preasure sales, you have to go to their "exibition" to collect holiday vouchers, If you do that and sit through the sales, you should get the holiday vouchers ( as mentioned above they have rights to change details) then in resort you agree to go to another presentation, so if thats your idea of a good way to get a free holiday play along, but be prepered to be hounded and preasured

I have also won a wonderful holiday from these people as long as I ring that number.  Amazingly enough, I won't be calling.  Just another scam for the gullible, I'm afraid.

I was called today at 11.50am and told that I had won an all inclusive luxury 7 day holiday for 4 in either Portugal, Spain, Tenerife, or Turkey, and that there were British destinations available also. They knew my name and confirmed that I had completed a survey at Alicante airport. They new my age range, home owner status, and also confirmed that I would win £50.00 of high street store vouchers if I called 0800 988 9000 asap stating the ref number that they gave me.

I too searched the number as I was suspicious, and I am heartbroken not to be jetting off to my free holiday, which by the way, was valid for 18 months!!!!!!

I just recieved a call, told me I'd won a 7 night holiday for 4, and if I call within 30 minutes I'd get £50 of John Lewis or M&S vouchers! I did do a quick survey outside my local Tesco about holidays, only answered about 3 quick questions and was told if I gave my phone number I would only be phoned if I had won a prize, the lady on the phone knew my answers and told me it was for this survey, it all seems so genuine, has anyone actually recieved anything from them?

My partner just got a call - came via a 2minutedraw.com ticket issued in our High Street. Told won a free holiday - all you have to do is pay the airport charges 4 weeks before departure  - ring 0800 988 9900 and quote the issued alpha-numeric reference number they give you to the travel advisor to book - and if you ring before 12pm you will also get £50 of High Street vouchers. Thanks to google and everybody on this site we know it's a scam for timeshare - so beware!!!!!!!!!!!

"CLC" is Club La Costa - and they are a reputable company, selling five-star holiday accommodation. The word "timeshare" has a very bad reputation - CLC have changed the model considerably. You own points, not weeks, and can book anywhere in their network for any time you wish, based on the number of points for that accommodation in that week.

OK, I understand that representing the offer as a prize has upset some people - but the holidays are genuine, the flights are paid for, and the resorts and accommodation are top-notch. Yes, they will talk to you on the Monday for a couple of hours - but they give the entire family a free breakfast or lunch to make up for it. If you don't want to buy, that's it - they will leave you alone for the rest of the week. There are no other fees or charges, you just have to pay for your food.

If you want a cheap holiday, and can resist the salesmen, then this is worth doing. We had a great time - and we liked what CLC are doing so much that we did indeed sign up, and have had several great holidays since. And for the suspicious ones out there, I do not now and never have worked for CLC.

Got the same call, have checked out company on website and to be honest i dont think its that much of a scam.  Most of you on here didn't even phone the number to find out what was going on you have just posted your view based on everyone elses and to be honest i think that is prob quite good you didnt phone coz you prob would have been talked into signing up as you seem very easily influenced!!

anyway, my mother in law is in a similar club to this and we are off to lanzarote at easter with them and it has cost half the price it would if we had gone through a travel agents.

I think i will prob phone the number and see what happens.  i only checked the number as i was worried it was one of those scams where they get you to phone a free phone number then actually reroute you through a £9 a minute line - its a free call and 5 mins of my time, if i dont like the idea of what they offer then i wont go.

I could hardly hear the caller, the background was really noisy. I searched the internet BEFORE calling and found this page. Thanks everyone :o)
