Had a call this morning from 01268557600 telling me I'd won a holiday for four.  Wifey filled in a form at Malaga airport back in October when our plane was delayed.  The surveyer was airside and approached us at the Gate!

I told the very pleasant girl on the end of the phone that we're actually a family of five so my 'win' wasn't much use (unless of course I wanted to leave my wife back in England to stop her filling in any more damn forms!).  

"Oh that's no problem - five will be fine - you just need to phone 0800 988 9904 quoting Malaga24 and they'll extend the offer".

Yeah right.  I googled the number and wound up here.

asked to take part in a geographical survey at Malaga Airport in November, had a call today saying I have won a holiday, I never believe the happy voice which says "arn't you lucky". Lucky I spoke to consumer advice first who suggested I googled the number, and guess what 'a scam'  
I was again at Malaga Airport yesterday evening,and the girls are still collecting data for the geographical survey.

i had the call today from number 0168557600.. i told them no thanks i aint stupid and hung up. they rang back 3 times telling me it was genuine and that i had to ring 08009889904 .... dont think so

just has as above call blocked number when call 1471 said they offered holidays in scotland and cornwall !! gave me the same 0800 number said i had 7 night break for 4 persons in europe

Had a call saying i had won a holiday. given another number to ring, thought it sounded fishy so goodled it and got lots of other people saying it's a scam. just as i thought. Did'nt even phone the number to give the ref. They were trying to get me to call 0800 9889904

This scam is still going on! I have today received a call from 01268 557600, advising me that I had won a family holiday and to ring 0800 9889904 for details. Thanks to Joanne, ny daughter, I was made aware if this site. Thank you.

i received a call today (20.01.09) telling me to call this no. 0800 9889904 saying the same - AI holiday .... all i have to do is call , make sure it,s today to get money vouchers as well. What made me really suss was the ref. no. he gave me, see what you think - 11 TITROAD !!! Nice giggle for them . googled the no. and found this sight. hope no ones falling for it,

Hi, I got a call today about winning a free holiday and asked to claim it using 0800 988 9904. However, I have to got to a timeshare talk in Tottenham Ct Road next week - which I'm not going to do! I think it was Club La Costa too.

Out of interest, has anyone gone along to the timeshare talks and do they eventually get the free holiday?

I repeatedly questioned why they would give away a free hoiliday. You will all be pleased (ahem) ti hear its becauses they are celebrating 25 years  (of scamming presumably)

So glad we googled this. My wife was collared outside Tesco a few weeks ago, she's too polite! We haven't called the number thanks to all of you. If it sounds too good to be true then it is too good to be true! Telephone number we were asked to call was 0800 9889904.

'Surveys' to get your contact details are being conducted within the airside part (i.e. beyond the passport control desks) of Malaga airport so maybe the the airport authorities are getting a fee/commission to let them operate there. Has anyone thought of complaining to the Airport Authorities?

01268557600 - just got this after filling survey in at Boat Show, (hey i was bored in the queue to go in). Phone call kept stressing it was self-catering, also must ring 08009889904 immediately, oh and dont forget the £50 of shopping vouchers!, the credit crunch seems to have got these guys coming out of the woodwork again. Had cold calling and phone calls for first time in 4 years, all in last couple months.

Yes, I got this too. Has anyone actually been to these presentations and tried to claim the free hol without buying any time share?  it's got to be worth going to it just for the flights surely...?

Well - I never got as far as ringing, but that's thanks to all who have contributed here. I googled 0800 988 9904 (the number we were asked to call about our free week in the sun) and ended up here. Unsurprisingly we were also told we had won but neither my wife or I believed this - so now I have read this thread I will not be callinge or putting our house up for a duff timeshare in some rundown part of Spain or wherever.

Still looking for that free lunch!

Got a call from these guys - who were most offended when I asked which particular flight or company I had to pay for myself and how many other people had won the 'first prize'.  Do they not realise people check online for scams like this??? Hope nobody actually gets their hopes up too much ;)

i got a call saying i had won a hoiliday for 4 and only had to pay £29 and had to phone another number with a refernce code. googled the number and got led here so guess it is a scam .. knew it was too good to be true thanks

Just received a call saying I have won a holiday for 4 - no catches, no scam, to call 0800 988 9904 asap today - valid for 18 months "because they realise we would need time to save up for spending money."   Glad I tapped the number into Google and see many others have been hood-winked.  Ask yourself why should you need to be a home owner to win a free holiday???  Too good to be true ... yes, I think so.

Told by nice Lisa to ring 0800 988 9904 to claim the free holiday my wife had won in Stafford when answering a questionaire. Glad we are not suckers and thank goodness for Google!

Just had a call to say I had won a self catering holiday in Europe for 4, only needed to call 0800 9889904 to choose from one of five destinations quoting PEC00.
