Also got a call, missed it yesterday and tried to call it back to be told that it was a wrong number. They called again today and informed me that I had "been awarded" a luxury all expenses paid holiday to either Spain, Portugal of Tenerife. All I had to do was to phone the above number to confirm some details and I would be able to collect my reward for completing an online survey last year. Also, if I called within half an hour I would recieve £50 in high street vouchers.
I was very dubious but given that it was a free phone decided to give it a go. I called and was put through to Club La Costa and when I said I was told I had won a holiday and to call this number, I was informed that I would have been told that I had been "awarded" the holiday. She confirmed some details, including the fact htat I was a home owner and in full time employment  with a combined household income of over £25,000.
She then informed me that I needed to go to a nearby hotel at 7pm next week, with my husband, to collect my award. She then asked if I had any children under 7 as they would not be allowed to attend, when I said this would be a problem, she informed me that under no circumstances could my son go due to health and safety issues at the venue, but that also under no circumstances could just one of us go.
I said that I would see what I could do and asked her to book us in anyway, which she did  and took my address to send the details to, and hopefully the high street vouchers too so I at least get these.
Needless to say, I do not want a timeshare and will not be going!

I'd also been called today - they've tried loads of times in the last couple of weeks but I'd always ignored it as I didn't recognise the number. Told me I'd won and to call 08009889904. So I came here as I guessed it was a scam!

I have today received a call from 01268 557600 stating I have won a holiday for 4 in Europe, Scotland or Cornwall. Advised me I needed to call 0800 9889904 today to claim my prize. Thankfully my husband suggested I put the number into Google, thankfully this site has proved its a con!!

had a call from this no today told them i am not interested in the free holiday i have won - as i am not stupid!! nothing for nothing!! asking me as every one else to call 08009889904 and quote a ref. told the guy on the phone just to send me the prize but obviously he couldnt, said he would ring back in a bit as i had to call straight away cant wait for his return call

dont be fooled, gooled the number to see who had made the call and as suspected a time share company

I just received a call from the number 01268 557600 who asked me to call the above number immediately as i had won a holiday. He said he would ring back later to find out how I got on. I haven't called back as I googled it straight away and found very negative comments about these numbers.
I was told I had won a holiday and when I asked what the catch was he said there is no catch, I have won but need to call the number because of data protection and passing my details over the phone. What a load of rubbish.

Just received a telephone call from this number 01268557600 indicating that I had been selected because an online questionnaire I had completed had been selected as a winner for a holiday in Europe for 4 including return flights, valid for 18mts. I was informed that I had to phone this number 0800 988 9904 with a reference number they had given, where they were waiting to process my call.

What is also interesting is that they called me Dr. and I know that Vodafone always made the same mistake when they rang hard selling so it seems like my details have been passed or sold.

Just received a call from 01268 557600 and asking me to 'phone the above number (having won a luxury holiday for four to Spain, Portugal or the Canary Islands) as a result of having helped a woman in Lanzarote airport with a questionnaire whilst bored.  My husband found the above thread (and others) and we now think life is too short to bother with this - thought it sounded too good to be true.  Just pleased that they might stop calling my number all the time now... well - you can live in hope...

just received a call.and i did ring the 0800 988 99 04.
the only reason i want to see if i actually get the holiday.

i received a call last week from 01268557600 informing me i had won a holiday for 4 people in spain/portugal for 7days or a uk break for 4days, just call this free phone number 0800 988 9904!! i never called suspecting it was utter toss.
today i received a second call. "why havent you claimed you FREE holiday?" you must do it as soon as possible!! followed by a text message from 07511546746 to confirm. so i decided to google the number and here i am!!

I had the same call... same blah blah ..spoke to someone called kirsty and she told me the same... all you have to do is attend this exhibition.. dont think i will bother now! Dirty scammers!

My wife and I were stopped in Kingstom high street by a woman who thrust a flyer inot my wifes hands saying " Doo you want to win a Luxury Holiday"? We answered some stupid questions and gave some pointless details! She then tour off a slip and handed to my wife and said we were now enetered! This is where we've given these [***] my mobile number.
I've now receieved 2 calls in the space of 1 week announcing that we've won the luxury holiday to our choice of 4 destinations, and £50.00 in shopping vouchers. The girl on the phone in a very polite manner gave me a reference number and free phone number to claim the prize. They then apparantly then ask me for more details to send the paperwork to. At this point I though I'd google the number and hey presto! I'm so glad we have the internet and google.
Its timeshare and timewaisting. DON'T Get involved. I'm expecting many more calls to come. I've saved their number in my phone with an outstanding name to remember who they are....

Just received a call from 01268 557600, a very nice guy called Daniel James who informed me I had won a holiday in Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands or the UK for 4 people for 7 night in a luxury hotel. All I had to do was ring 0800 9889904 quoting ref 40R before 3pm because they were off to lunch and the operator will confirm my details and tell me all the information.  Daniel confirmed I was between 25 and 52 years old, a homeowner and married or living with my partner. I was excited at first as I have never won a holiday but thought I'd have my lunch first then I would ring them. After lunch I was feeling very sceptical as you don't get owt for nowt in this world, I googled the 0800 number and hey presto found this site. I won't be ringing the number but if anyone else wants to they can use my reference number. And CLC if you are reading this please do not phone me again!

I have received a call telling me the same things and told me to call 0800 988 99 04, if I did call in the next 10 minutes, I will get 50 pounds worth of vouchers. He ask me if I was going to call, and I did say maybe.

Straight away I did google it and I got this site.

Thank you very much for the warning, I do not want a time share, some on my family did buy one, and he lost the money.

UPDATE.................. CLC obviously don't read this site as I asked them nor to contact me again. BUT last night I received about 10 calls from them. As I did not answer hopefully they will get the message, I AM NOT INTERESTED!

got a call to say that I had won a holiday for 4 and giving the number 08009889904 to ring. My partner is suspicious of these sort of things so we googled the number and found this site. Wont be ringing the nuber

Got a call today with the same promise of a holiday - very suspicious & with the cliche 'if it sounds too good to be true it probably is' I doubted it!!

I've just received a missed call from 01268 557600 and googled it, thanks for your comments above, when it rings again I will answer it and waste as much of their time as possible!

I was called tonight from 01268 557600 to say I had won a week's holiday by completing and online form - they even quoted back to me my email address!!!  they told me to ring 0800 988 9904 tonight so that they could get the confirmation details in the post to me.  I was not obliged on receiving the documenation to take the holiday and was offered Portugal, Spain and the Canaries or if I didn't want to go abroad, Scotland and Cornwall.  I am naturally sceptical about this type of call as you don't get anything for nothing and the caller could not tell me what on line form  I had completed or when!  Even if I miss out on a week in the sun its worth it for peace of mind - despite what the commentator above has said - my holidays are for a break away not to be haranged to buy time share/holiday home or whatever - the sun will have to wait!!!!

Won an all expenses holiday for 4 including flights hotel and £1500 spending money no catch just need to ring 0800988904!!!! Who doesn't need a holiday for free with the credit crunch these calls should be banned
