We also had 'the call' from the same numbers as you've all experienced. I had genuinely entered the competition for a holiday for 4, so when the call came I assumed (and still do a little) that we had won. Then came the part about attending the presentation....the lady was very honest and said they of course would like to sign us up and it was like a timeshare but called a 'holiday members club'. Again she said we were absolutely under no obligation and the presentation would last no more than 2 hours....
I am still unsure about whether to go, my husband is dead against it but what is there to lose by attending?

Guess, what? I'm a lucky winner too.  Fortunately, this is about the fourth time I have "won" ...

Also received the call yesterday. They even took the trouble of telephoning me back to record a message giving the number i should ring, and my reference number. They are calling themselves CLS Resorts.....

Had exactly the same as above, google the number and it led me to this site, thank god for google, also saved me a trip to London to claim my prize..! I was told I had won a holiday to Tenerife,Costa del Sol, Portugal or anywhere in the UK for 7 nights, all I would have to do is pay a £29 (per person) admin fee! I hope nobody falls for this scam!

4th time we've won a holiday - we are so lucky - NOT! Every time we've apparently filled in a form when neither my wife or I do so. Last time they even called back to ask why we hadn't rung in...

Had this call 2 days ago. Husband said try Google as I didn't believe it. Thank god for Google!! No time wasted as a result.

I completed a survey at an airport, whilst in the boarding queue for my flight home. I received a call this morning from 01268 557600 telling me I'd won 7 nights in Europe with flights included. The guy was very friendly indeed. I told him I was sceptical, but he assured me it was all above board, because they offer a free phone number and not a premium rate one.

Still sceptical, I googled the free phone number and guess what I found!

I'm no sucker, but feel for the more vulnerable people who do fall for this.

got a call today saying I had won a holiday for 4 people, all expenses paid - great I thought.  Until I called back on their number (0800 9889904) - firstly they asked if I owned my own home, then what my income was, then could I attend a presentation  to collect the tickets.  I would need to take along either my driving licence or passport.  What a joke.  If I had won a holiday why would they need the information they requested ?  Why not just send me the vouchers or tickets ?????  Interestingly if I rented my property or my income did not fall into a particular bracket I would not be "entitled"

Apparently I have a free flights for 4 adults plus 7 nights in Spain Portuga; or  Scotland familiar to anyone?

Got a call from 01268 557600 after I'd completed a survey at this year's London Golf Show. They gave me the same spiel about having won a free holiday for 4, and to ring 0800 9889904 quoting ref '19GOLFSHOW' to get my claim pack posted through. I was suspicious when the woman said she'd call back later (I forget the reason she gave for this), so I made my excuses and hung up. Next step was to google the phone number and like a lot of other people I ended up here. Glad I trusted my instincts but obviously miffed.

had call today from 01268557600 telling me had free holiday, got to ring 08009889904 today before 3pm, if i did would get £50 of vouchers to spend in shop of my choice.did'nt ring it.

Another phone call logged from this caller - similar to threads above on free holiday blah blah balh.

Same as most others above - had call from 01268 557 600 CLC Resorts & Hotels couple of days ago telling me i had won a free holiday to Spain, Portugal or Canary Islands as i had completed a survey somewhere. Had to call 0800 988 9904 quoting ref: 59iptr to claim. Would get £50 shopping voucher. Quizzed lady on phone about where i had completed this survey, when etc but all she could say was i had to call the 0800 number for further details. Sounded Very dubious and even said so to her.

Googled CLC resorts and came across these sites - thank goodness i did. At the moment my time is even more precious than the £29.50 or whatever it is! Thanks all.

I received a call today from the same no.  Surprise!!! I just immediately googled and found it is a SCAM. Thanks a lot for all your comments.

Was just called by 01268 557600 (lady with a northern accent) and informed after completing a questionnaire at Malaga airport earlier this month I had won a luxury all inclusive holiday for 2 in either Portgal or Spain.
I asked - what was the catch - to which the response was - there is none!

I requested details to be sent by post to my home address but was told they were unable to do that and that I was to call 0800 988 9904 and quote 42Malaga.

Did not believe a word and therefore did a search on Google and found this site.

These scoundrels should be reported to Ofcom. Sooner we get rid of them the better.

Following completion of a survey in Brentwood on 8 May 2009, I received a call from 01268 557600 this afternoon (28 May) saying I had won a holiday in Italy for 2 people.  The survey had included a question about my favourite holiday destination (which is Italy!). I asked "What's the catch?" and the caller said "there isn't one", so I asked "What are you selling?" and he said "nothing - all you have to do is phone this free phone number 0800 988 9904 with a reference code which he gave me".  Naturally I was suspicious and goggled the number first and here I am!  This site has confirmed what I thought - they are trying to sell me something I don't want!

Would you know it.  Got cornered at an event in Hertfordshire and 5 minutes ago I received the expected call and googled the freephone number and here I am! To think I almost got excited for about 0.000000001 seconds! I'm the suspicious type luckily, but I know some poor fools who would happily invest their life savings in a diamond mine in the congo.
