I've just received a call from this company now saying that after completing a survey in Malaga airport last month i had won a holiday 4 4 people in europe and that i had to phone the free phone no. I just went along with it and as soon as i hung up the phone i googled the number!!!!
thank you for this site, i just feel sorry for the people who are easily swayed and go along with it.

Wife had a call from 01268 557600 this evening saying she had won a prize, phone 0800 9889904 quoting ref 42L to claim the luxury holiday. She remembers filling in a questionnaire outside of a Tesco in Maidstone about a month ago. The "receipt" for the competition entry is from www.giraffepromotions.com, when you go to their website it mentions that they are working with a "leisure and development company"...we all know what that means!!!!

did survey few weeks ago and very friendly sounding guy phoned up today saying i had won holiday for four everything was free and did nt have to pay for anything. told him was bit sceptical as you get lots of calls saying you won things but he said this was nt a scam and its a free phone number so took number and phoned it to get company name. when i tried to google company name could nt get anything so googled number and got this website so needless to say wont be phoning them back.

had a call from 0126855095 clc resorts and hotels saying id won 2weeks fights and acc for 4 people to one of the canary islands plus £50 shopping vounchers if i called free no. above within an hour.
didnt call glad now i have discovered its a scam!!

I received a phone call about 20 minutes ago from quite a sweet lady telling me that i'd won a holiday for up to 4people to spain and all these other wonderful places after entering a competition last month at Sainsbury's in Maidstone(though i've never been to Maidstone)and that i'd been successful and won!  she kept congratulating me.  the number was 01268 557600.  said to call 0800 9889904 and quote reference 42L.  thankfully after googling the number and reading all the messages I wont be calling.  These people should be stopped - during this current financial climate anyone wants to hear good news and I can totally understand how people get lured into such scams.  Shocking!  Have people no conscience?

just received a phone call from the above number about half hour ago soon as my husband answered it it rang off press the 1471 which was the same number as above  so i decided to google and brought me to this site we have never entered any servays so i dont now were they have our number from unless they have looked up in the phone book these people need to be stopped in there tracks

I received a call yesterday as a result of answering a survey at Menorca airport. I need urgently to call this freephone number and quote reference 69MA. Apparently I have won a holiday for four in either southern spain, canaries or portugal. Which would tie up well with the reports from this site that its a time share scam.
Thank you for this site as my son thought I was just being sceptical it would appear with good reason!

Got the same call yesterday - thought it was to good to be true !  If you have truly won why would they ask you to call another number .....?

I recieved the same phone call like everyone else that I won a holiday from number 01268555095 , and was supplied with a freephone number and claim code which is 17pec195w telephone number 080009889904.
Like anything nothing is free in life and I was susipous re call so google the number. thank god I did

its a time share scam.  *scam*scam*scam*

free holiday, 29.50 per person, which apparantly can go up to 80 per person on the day, they tell you where and when you can go, not up to 18 months your choice where and when.  steer well clear.

got the same call stating i have won a "free holiday for 4 in europe to be taken within 18 months", i rang the 0800 988 9904 and was asked to go to glen eagles hotel to claim prize. yes it was a time share scam but i went to it with the full intention of saying no thanks, which i did, the guy was very cool and gave me a £50 gift voucher and still got the holday which i,m looking forward to going on later this year. taking 3 friends on a tobaco run :)

Just received the phone call from 01268 557 600, which, does appear on 1471 but funnily enough, doesnt connect when you call back !! Apparently, Ive won a nice free ! holiday, 'Graham' told me that we have won following my wife filling in a survey in the high street where we live. Whilst I knew it was a load of tosh, I googled CLC and found their website, this forum and a good one on Money Saving Expert. I figured they already had my phone number so I rang the number given 0800 9 88 99 04. Ive got to to go an 'exhibition' in Bristol. When asked if I could attend, I said you havent even told when and where yet, at which, I had to answer some security questions otherwise she wouldnbt tell me where the thing was and I wouldnt be able to claim my 'prize' which was a holiday for 4 to Spain or Portugal which was  free (apart from the 29.50 booking fee per person). She also said that they were a private members holiday club ... At which, just before hanging up, I said 'timeshare' to her, whilst placing phone on the hook, I could hear her saying ... no were nooooot (imagine falling off a cliff and the sound of the voice getting more distant.

I wouldnt mind but I dont like going abroad anyway !!!

I was stopped at Bristol Airport on the way to Menorca in May this year (2009)and was asked some questions by someone that I am sure represented Thomson Travel agent. I was also questioned by someone from the same company (again I am sure it was Thomson) at Mahon airport on the return trip.

I have had a call from 01268557600 saying that I have a free holiday etc etc and to call the 0800 number. Does this mean Bristol Airport allow scammers to hang around and question people, or if it was Thomson are they then selling the details to other companies?

01268557600 just phoned me.  I too filled out a questionnaire at Mahon (Menorca) airport in May.  Looks like we are all lucky!  (not)
I haven't phoned the 0800 9889904 number.  My first thought was timeshare as they checked our age category and if we were home owners.  I didn't ask the caller.
If I had the spare time I might have gone to the presentation that others are talking about as I'm not easily led and wouldn't sign up.  But it would be difficult as they'd be doing a hard sell.  Also, I can't take holidays when someone sends me as my husband books his leave up to a year in advance.

Offering a free luxury holiday. It is in actual fact a timeshare scam. That will cost you 0ver £9000 upfront and a few hundred pounds a month in up keep if your talked into signing up.

Had these muppets call me today claiming I'd won a free luxary holiday including return flights to Spain, Portugal or the Canary Isles. Just had to pay a £29.99 booking fee...

I was sweet-talked at Bristol airport and called a few minutes ago from 01268557600. Told me to call 08009889904. I fell for it, but remembered some other call scam a while ago, so just googled and got here. Thanks a lot.
Cant find the info they gave me, if I do I'll post it, but the reference they gave was 55BR. Its funny, the woman at the airport and the woman on the phone were both completely plausible and respectable..
