Report a phone call from 08080000133 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- CassieI have had 3 calls from this number today. I'm not even with Vodafone - Never have been!
- Adam Pj| 1 replyIf you call them on 0808 0000 166, it connects through to the Vodafone call centre. It's a free fone number. I've just blased some lady down the phone about the number of "blank" calls I keep receiving - they have now promised to remove my details from the database and will stop receiving further calls. Hope that helps guys!!
- Caller: Vodafone
- CJone thing to add is that if you were on the Flexphone scheme through you employer, this has now been withdrawn and vodafone are looking to retain these customers. i had a few missed calls upon answering one found out this was the situation.
- BenI have received 4 calls from this number; I only answered once and that time they hung up however they left a message once and it was an Indian man asking me to telephone back, hrrrrm.
I am a Vodafone customer and have been for just over 5 years now, only just started with these calls though...- Caller: Vodafone
- TonyI'm not even a Vodafone Customer & I'm getting the call.
- Caller: Vodafone
- IchibanI emailed on the 3rd to cancel and move to PAYG and received a confirmation next day that phone will be PAYG on the 3rd Jan 09 then will receive a final bill 3 weeks later. Today started getting called by this number so far 4 calls :(
- Ben(continued from my previous entry dated 4 December 2008)
I called the number back and was directed to call 08080000166 -- I called them and was then directed to the official Vodafone customer support. I explained to the man about all these calls and he told me that this is NOT AN OFFICIAL VODAFONE NUMBER and anybody who gets more than 3 calls from them should inform the police. He said he also did a check on a database and the number (08080000133) does not legally belong to ANY company which means that someone is impersonating Vodafone -- and charging you at premium rate.
He instructed me to phone the Police regarding the matter, which is what I am about to do.- Caller: NOT Vodafone
- HaitchIn reference to Ben's comment on 6th December: even if Vodafone are saying that the number is not theirs and they aren't the ones making the call then they must suringly be making our personal information available to the perpetrators. How else would the perpetrators know to begin calling just as people are ending their contacts?
- Ichiban19 missed calls and counting
- MattI keep getting these very annoying calls too. I have been a loyal customer for 4 years and only cancelled due to moving to the US. I stated this exact reason in my cancellation letter and they still ring me. I always get a call whilst sleeping (due to the time difference) which is very annoying and then 3-4 more throughout the day. They know why I left, they know that it will cost me £0.99 per minute just to answer their call and they should by now, recognise that I am NOT interested in anyhitng they have to offer. Nor will I go back. Not now.
- lsestrange, I'm an o2 customer and was phoned by this number today...
- Saqib HMe aswellll! im on voda n stil get them , no wonder people moving to O2!
- GertieI'm not deven with vodafone...never have been and i have had 7 missed calls in 2 days. Don't answer numbers i don't know. How would they have got my details????
- rickardoJust had call from this number - bloke said he was from Vodafone, called me by my full first name only (which I never use), when usually "official" companies call me Mr... and immediately asked for my account PIN. When I asked why, he said he was calling because I am one of their "gold customers" or something. Sounded dodgy to me, which I told him and hung up. I then rang the number back from work phone and redirected to 08080000116 as above. Spoke to Vodafone customers services who said there was nothing on my account to warrant a call, i.e. not due an upgrade, leaving etc!
- Soniai get called from this number everyday, the thing is im a business customer and none of the other numbers on the contract get harassed as i do...im changing to o2!
- NDKRequested a PAC from Vodafone yesterday and just had a call from this number today. Didn't answer - just looked up the number on google and found this thread
- LRI've just had my first call from them in two weeks.
I'm on Vodafone anyway but as a PAYG customer. Mainly because they wouldn't let me have a contract in the first place.
So why the calls? - Ollie Popi keep getting calls from this number, i left my vodafone contract about 6 months ago and now get about 1 call a week from this number but i have no links with my old contract, it is under a different name , to a different card and a different billing address, how have they got my new number?(which is on the 3 network)
- Caller: Vodafone
- JeanneHave also been contacted by this number and I am a Vodafone customer. Also, Wanted to cancel my contract earlier this year to go on pay as you go, but was then convinced to go on a cheaper contract with a bonus new (older model) phone by the sales person. When my bill came it was for the previous amount and no one believes that my contract was changed for me over the phone...I now have to pay this higher charge again for 18 months! They are not to be trusted!
- Caller: Vodafone
- MikeI'm getting these harrassing calls and no one at the other end! I'm also a current Vodaphone customer as well as Orange. Suggestion - save their number in your mobile under their name and when you see their name come up, ignore them. They do ot leave voicemails.
