just spoke to vodafone and it definitely was not them but they were also no help and told me if i wanted to do anything about it i had to report it to the police!! also had a few different 08.... numbers ringing recently now i kow to be very cautious.

I spoke 2 a man called jamie, i only have been with my new contract phone for 5 days. he told me he wanted my security info, such as bank details and passwords and address's. they phoned me 3 days running, as late as 8pm in the evening. like i said the guy was jamie, asking for my details. stay away block them. ASK them the questions and hang up!

I know no one called Jamie, and as part as our security we shouldn't be asking for bank details.

As far for our sales technique, everything is above board and some people actually give to much to obtain their comission, these people really wind me up. I sell legit and still hit my targets without giving to much away. However i would help you complain to watchdog/ whistle blower i work there and nearly a manager!!

Numebr called this am, thankfully at work, if they try again, there'll be words!;)

Is any of you actualy reading the posts or to paranoid and automatically think its a scam, i mean the reasson we call is to benifit you THE CUSTOMER, people always run of contract and pay shed loads, were if u listened to the person u can save a whole lot of money!!!

This is a vodafone scam number.

I have programmed it into my phone now to show up as 'Scammer' when the phone rings and have it set to ring as silent - so dont have to answer!

Have missed calls from this number for a couple days now. I have pay as you go,so dont know why they are calling me for an upgrade!

i only had a missed call so i googled it and found this page who are they?? has anyone informed the police ?? is it just vodafone they call about ??

My boyfriend is on Vodafone and is getting these calls on a daily basis. The wonderful internet has showed that it is a scam so we aren't answering the call! Thanks to all!
I have to admit, it might be fun to answer and be really evasive and make out you actually work at Vodafone's upgrade dept... give 'em a taste of their own medicine!

Jules... The number may be provided by Vodafone... doesn't mean that they are calling though does it!

I have simillaly been having these problems, and so have rung vodaphone customer services on 191, and pressed a few different options(Didn't care what ones) just to speak to someone about them cos they have been driving me mad,and they told me that it was vodafone marketing, and so she has changed my account so that I only get rung by vodafone for important reasons. she then however went along to say that maybe it was because i've rung vodafone about a problem, so it could be that? Who knows who is ringing us- i don't know if vodafone do? I'll say if they stop now?

I got a call earlier from this number and they asked about upgrading me, but i wanted to check the number so i told them to ring later. i rang vodafones upgrade service and enquired about the number - they said they had no record of them calling me, but when i asked them to actually check the number to see if it was legitimate they said it was an authorised vodafone number, but he also said i actually wasn't yet allowed to upgrade. so i'm not sure it still seems a bit dodgy.

Have just received a call from this number saying it was Chris from Vodafone and then they asked me if they were calling a mobile phone number??

These people have been calling me daily. I picked up once and they said same thing that they would give me an upgrade. I said I wasn't interested. They asked me for my details and I didn't give any.

But they are still calling everyday, sometimes I pick up and they hang up. Other times I just ignore it. I am going to block the number

Been getting the call's once a day since 15th Fed. Number looked odd to me. Rang it back, as I finished dialling I was instantly connected so ended the call straight away.

Someone needs to stop these guy’s I run my business via the mobile. If there using Vodafone’s name they should sort them out.

Did not take it cancelled cxall as getting harrassed by Yes Loans and got sick of answering there calls.  So do not know who they are but sick of getting calls inthe last few days had 15 from Yes Loans in three days   and about 5 from this number in same time.
