Had a call from this number, answered and it was an automated message saying it was Lloyd's bank (doubt it was) and they were unable to connect me to an advisor. I wonder what happens if when they ask for DOB you were to give a fake one? If they call again I will try it out!
    • Caller: Apparently Lloyds

This number rings me at least once a day.  I have now blocked on my mobile but still ringing my home phone.  No-one there if I answer so now I just let it ring.  Message says LLoyds Bank and to contract regarding personal banking matter.

I never answer the call and no message is ever left, I suggest that everyone does the same, no message left then can't be important can it?

Have been called four times in three days by this number saying they were from Lloyds Bank in the UK.. First and second time sounded like an overseas call centre with lots of noise in the background, third and fourth time a quiet call with no background noise, They wanted a date of birth and postcode and date to verify my identity. Obviously I did not give it and asked how I knew they were Lloyds Bank and for evidence of their identity. They said to call back this number (08081450360) to confirm. I said I would go into branch to ask if there was an issue with my account. After detailed investigation in my local branch... there is none (as expected) and then they called again today. When I asked them to send their query by post they refused so CLEARLY a very dodgy caller!!! BEWARE, BE VERY AWARE and don't give any details to them, always ask them to send you, by post, their query, of course they will not.

    Bankrupt
    Huh.

This number has been calling for a few days but, I've been a bit suspicious given some of the comments on here. I AM behind on Credit Card payments to Lloyds, however, so warily decided to answer it just now. Conversation went like this:

Him: This is Jason from Halifax Bank calling about a personal banking matter. Is this a good time to talk?

    Me: Not really.

Him: When would be a good time to talk?

Me: To be honest, I'd much rather just go into the bank and sort things out there.

    Him: Okay. Bye.

    *click*

I don't know who it is but it's either a terrible scammer or the politest debt collector in history

I'm working the phones at a taxi company and just had them call through, but when I stated the name of the company they went quiet - we've had the bank calls to this number before so it's definitely a sales thing

I was called by this number, the lady had an Irish accent and reported to be from Cheltenham & Gloucester, when I refused to give her any personal information she hung-up. I rang the Cheltenham & Gloucester they told me they do not have anyone working from that number and they would not ask for personal information.

I was receiving calls from this number daily, and once when I answered they said they were from Halifax (who I do bank with) and that they needed to speak to me about my account and before they could do that they needed me to confirm my DOB and postcode.  I refused and confirmed I wouldn't be giving any personal details from someone calling me out of the blue.  They then confirmed I would receive a letter in the post and to just respond to that??

They now ring me at least once a day, sometimes more, on both my home phone and my mobile phone.  I've now blocked the call on my mobile and I just ignore it if I receive it on the home phone.
    • Caller: Halifax (likely not, likely a scam)

Have been receiving calls from this number now for over a week, they even have my work number, they called said they were from Lloyds and asked me to confirm my DOB and postcode, caught off guard I did so and then the phone went dead. Then I had a messaged left saying the same thing and telling me to call the number back when i did it was just a recorded message. Called my bank and they said no one was trying to contact me and they will monitor my account just in case - not sure if this is a scam or not but its so annoying... stop calling me!

Keep an eye on your credit file in case they use your details to obtain credit with other lenders.

This is a SCAM the other numbers they use is 08456016304
They say they are calling from a bank but they are Scamers.

When you pick up the phone its silent for a few seconds then they will say good morning or afternoon evening its a auto dialer they get your info from mobile phone companys or vote reg that you give to your council you need to tick the box on your form so they cant get your details.

when you do get a call say you will go find the person they req put the phone on the side and go make a cup of tea after 5mins they hang up but still have to pay for the call

    The Manager
I received a call first on my mobile at 6pm, I didn't answer. 10 seconds later on my land line, again did not answer. No message left on answerphone so can't be important can it. As the bank has my address and email, how come they never contact you via these methods first? Because they are chancers who get paid a commission to persuade you to pay off a little of your overdraft or mortgage payment. Ignore them and wait for an official document to pop through the post, then you can ring them - Simple.
