Have been getting daily phone calls from this number for over 2 weeks, ask for someone who does not live here. When I tell them this they ask for the number so that they can remove it from their list. When I say that they called me so they must have the number they claim they can see it. I am not about to confirm the number they have called. I do not bank with any of Lloyds companies and my own bank can see all my account info when they call.

I receive calls from this number on my mobile, home phone and work phone, they purport to be from lloyds bank, they ask for  your date of birth and postcode, I ask them who they, are and what it is about, they say it is a "personnel banking matter", I ask them to tell me more in general terms, they tell me to contact my bank, I tell them I have, I then ask them to stop calling me and remove me from their data base and to write instead . Did not believe who they were, so i called the real lloyds bank, they had never heard of the number, and had not been trying to contact me. So if you receive a call from this number call lloyds on the number on the back of any of your cards.

It's a scam call. I've had them calling 6 time over Xmas. I just tell them I've never been to Halifax.
They have my name and my ex partners name (we have a mortgage with the Halifax) so I think they have that info illegally....

I can't believe so many [***] actually respond to these scammers, surely it's obvious that if you respond they then know that their target is a real person / address.

This number has called me on my mobile and at home, it has also called my wife on her mobile and at her work phone.
None of these calls were successful as we only answer numbers we recognise, also my wife has never given out her mobile except to family.
I think this must be some sort of scam.

This number rang my office number before 9am on a Saturday morning?? I put it onto silent and they went away. Wish there was some way we could all seek recompense for all these annoying calls.

To seek recompense you need to have been put to some actual expense.        That does not seem to be the position here.

In my case I can categorically declare that the number belongs to the Collections Department within the Banking Group that owns Birmingham Midshires mortgage company. I know this because thanks to the recession cause solely by greedy thieving bankers, my own company went down the pan, taking my life savings with it and left me with a severe case of depression which, understandably, hampers my earning potential.  I have been several weeks late with my Mortgage payment for some months now and as soon as the payment is late the calls start coming.  I have repeatedly told them to stop harassing me but it seems these thieving [***] think they have the right to take everything I as and when they want it. They don't and it's time we all started clamping down on their greedy thieving ways.

This is almost certainly a scam. I have had 7 calls from this number. It is NOTHING to do with Lloyds Bank. I am investigating further, but on no account ring them back if they ask you to because they may be holding the line open top make you think you are calling the number they gave you, when you are just still connected.
    • Caller: Says Lloyds Bank but is not.

Received a call from this number and they claimed to be Lloyds, it didn't feel right as I do not have an account with them anymore so hung up and blocked the number from calling me again.....I have seen lots of comments on a few sites all saying these are NOT Lloyds and to ignore/block their number

I have received calls to my mobile and home phone from this number from someone claiming to be representing Halifax. I was immediately suspicious as they had an American accent whereas whenever I deal with Halifax bank by phone I usually end up speaking with someone with a Scottish accent!. They indicated that they wanted to follow-up on a potential arrears in my mortgage payments but that they needed to go through some security details first. They said that I should already have received a physical letter on the subject, but I had not received any such letter. I politely declined to pursue the matter any further by phone as I could not be given any legitimising basis from the caller. I will be reporting the call to the "real" Halifax.

They have rung here numerous times asking for my daughter, supposedly from the Halifax. I've asked them to stop as the number is registered with tel pref service and .....my daughter no longer lives here. Obviously a marketing call as despite its request they keep calling
