I just had a call from these people & all they wanted to do was sign me up for 3 months half price Movie channels. They asked for my password, which i gave them, but when i checked my Sky account, i had given them the wrong one, what a pity LOL

Just had a call 2 minuets ago, when I answered they hang up??? Tried calling back, nothing.....

I've had calls from this number a while ago, and saved it in my phone's contacts simply as 'hung up' so I know not to answer. However, I've had four calls in the last couple of days, so wanted to check online. I see that others have had the same experience as me - I answered, only to have them hang up on me. Now I just don't answer... :/

Have had this number phone for over a week now saying they are from Sky but will not speak to my wife. Have been unable to get any information about them as they put the phone down. They are now dialling up to 4 times a day.

just had a call today from 08433770119 on sunday 8th january 2012. I slept though the call, but on my awnserphone there was no message, but i could hear the sound of people talking in the background, like in a call centre.  I rang back with 141 0843 377 0119 (141 = withheld my number) and as others have said, I got a recorded message saying it was sky. Whether it really was sky or some scammers i have no idea. I am a sky customer though.

Same as all the above! I'll just keep ignoring it i guess. Annoying though!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried calling me twice. Second time left line open meaning all calls in would go to my answer machine and I couldn't call out. Very clever.

We have received numerous calls from 08433 770119 over the past week. When we lift the receiver, the caller hangs up. My wife has cancer and we do get calls from lhospital and from doctors. When the phoen rings, we jump in case something has happened. These calls from 08433 770119 are causing GREAT anxiety.

Had the same thing this morning saying they were from sky and offering great deals. Wanted my password, viewing card number and mothers maiden name. Told them to bog off and stopping trying to scam me. They hung up!

I get this number calling me 2-3 times a week on my mobile, I will not answer 08 43 numbers anyway so I have finally blocked it

This number has phoned me several times including after 8.30 in the evening.  I have caller display and know better than to answer it - and they never leave a message.  100% nuisance value.

Called by this number today (and incidently noticed I had a missed call yesterday after the call.)
Happy Sky girl asking me if I was (my full name) and did I have a few minutes?  Confirmed I was (Do'h) and said go on to which she then needed to ask me three security questions and the call may be recorded.  I said she could ask whatever she wanted, but with an unsolicted call I would not be answering any.  She said that was the only way I could learn about the offer(s).  All she had on her screen was ask the 3 questions or book another call and I should not be concerned or worried!  I explained I would not tell my own bank my PIN number, even if I had called them, so I was far from concered but thought the practice of asking my secret stuff was a bad business model.  She then she said she didn't know who I was (you have to laugh), but did admit to having ALL of my details on her screen!  I told her I did not want any offers and perhaps we should end it here.  But she said her two options were, 'get me details and discuss', or re-book the call.  I told her I would block her.  She said I couldn't.  She said goodbye sarcastically and I've since blocked the number.

Relief.  I've actually worked out how to block a number and learnt something!  (TPS blocking does not help.)

What stupid company (SKY) gets another company (Careline) to call you and pretend they are Sky, but needs YOU to tell them ALL of YOUR SECRET info?

I'm happy with Sky TV, but wonder why...

Said that they were ringing from SKY and neede me to give them some security details before continuing. Asked them to verify that they were from SKY by giving me some info first. Of course, they were having trouble with their computers and might not be able to give me all the info I asked for!!!!!!! Then he tried to give me a rapid list of all the options we had - wrong.  I asked him to give me the cost of last months bill - he tried 3 times to give me my next bill as he was having trouble accessing my bill history. Gave me a sum that we have never even got close to before.  Having wasted enough of his time I told him that he may as well give up and that I was ending the call. When I tried to dial 1471 for the number the line was still open. Eventually managed to get through and got their number. These types of calls are a nuisance and on the increase.  Why do they bother?
Surely most people have heard about them by now and they are announced on facebook etc.

Have been away for a few days. Caller ID record shows this number called 13 Feb 13:10; 17:51 - 14 Feb 12:28; 16:59 - 15 Feb 12:29; 17:03 - 16 Feb 17:41. Each time they got my voice mail but left no message. They don't give up do they. I have now blocked their number so that's the end of that.

Got a call from 08433770119 when I rang it back the message said this is Andy of Rock Sciences. As I work a premium rate line and am a member of tps I tend to tell them that this call is costing them money although I did not get the chance to do it this time as they interupted my sleep.

Had this number ring me repeatedly last year, thought they'd given up, but seems they're back with a vengeance! Do the work through the alphabet or something? Very annoying, they've called:

Surely after 8 ignored calls you'd think they'd get the message, I know it's computer generated but I've decided next time it rings I'll answer, my response to them will not be polite!

Phoned me today saying they where from sky tv asked for my name which i gave and the first line of my address which i gave then asked me for my sky password  so i hung up do they think we are daft or something
