These clowns rang today on a mobe that's been out of use for 5 years or more (still notionally in service as it's PAYG and I have about 10p credit). But, like others here, I don't answer numbers I don't recognise.

It's Sky, it's their customer services "Loyalty" department trying to get you to upgrade services or purchase new ones. Persistent buggers they are, I've had a busy couple of weeks and decided not to answer this number as it came up an 08 number. I've had no less then 17 calls in approx 10 days!!!!! Their loss because when I do finally answer, I'll tell them to stick their services where the sun don't shine. It's no less than harassment!!

I get calls on my mobile but just ignore them. Why answer a number you don't recognise, if it's someone that's calling about something important then they will leave a message.

Obviously these pests do not do that. If you ignore the calls they will go away, as they check if it's a live call ie. a mug punter answers teh call, once you answer you will be pestered with more calls and the number sold onto other pests to call you. So just ignore, simples really!

Calls received on my mobile everyday for 2 weeks now- not answered and have tried to place in my barred listings but will not allow me to do this.

These have have called us several times, it's SKY they dont get very far i just yell Fxxx Oxx down the phone and hang up,

Got a call from this number purporting to be Sky. The man sounded drunk and asked to speak to my husband, the Sky acct holder, but then started calling himGary, even though that wasn't his name.
Tried to interest him in upgrades and asked for lots of information. When my husband said he wasn't interested the guy said he would take him 'off the list'. All very bizarre.

I just had a call from 0843 377 0119 but didn't answer it as I thought I was a Sky number

Have had 2 calls from this number today, first time they asked for somebody who does not live here, second time they just hung up after i picked the phone

After a vey long conversation with Sky complaints on their official number I can 100% state that this company is nothing to do with Sky TV.

Also had a call from this number purporting to be from Sky and offerring me an upgrade but unable to tell me what my current package is and what upgrade offer would be available. Refused to give any details and closed the call - not happy that this was a cold call & they knew nothing

No fraud, no scam, just someone trying to sell you something.  Lots of automated machines ring numbers until someone answers and then it pass the call over to a sales person.  However, if all their sales people are busy, then you get silence.


As for the first comment "If you've had this number call you, you've probably had fraud committed under your name or address". Oh dear, as if getting a phone call could do that!!

I had a call from this number and next thing BT tells me that a phone company has a customer that wants to take over my service at my address. I knew nothing whatsoever about this. So this company is committing a fraud by telling Sky that I want something that I've never asked for. I'm now going to cancel my Sky subscription and become a churn and I'll be free from this scamming scum and I'll then hopefully never receive another call from 08433770119.

For some reason this company have got hold of my home number.  I have not answered it, as I do not recognise it.

I've been experiencing same problem for some weeks. I have a screen on my phone and if I don't recognise the number calling I don't answer. If it's genuine then my answer phone is always on so a message  can be left. I have a problem in that my husband has dementia and these calls cause a lot of worry as he doesn't understand and is likely to get in to a conversation with whoever is cold calling. It also upsets him when the voice has a foreign accent and he doesn't understand what's being said.

I thought called had got my number from my business website http://www.menthogen.co.uk but seems it was Sky all along.

Number seems to be from careline services as mentioned. Here is there website address:

I dont have a sky account and never have so dont give them your details cause they just rang me!!

I have had 4 calls in the past 10 minutes, all blocked.if they're calling on behalf of sky what I want to know is how they got my mobile number because a) I have never given sky my mobile and b) the sky account is under my husbands name...not mine so they are breaching the dpa to start with.
