This number has called me about 10 times this week, but it hasn't been any bother at all.
I only know they have called because I can see from my call logs that they haven't been able to get though to actually ring my number.

In May 2010 I purchased a "Truecall" unit, it effectively blocks ALL nuisance calls, so your phone wont ever ring. It deals with these bloody pests for you, so you aren't even interrupted.
It has proved to be the BEST thing I have ever bought. It allows me to receive ALL calls from my family and friends with no hassle at all.

Just to mention that I am nothing to do with Truecall, I am just a very satisfied customer because this unit really does work.

I have just received a call, no speech, the line clicked off shortly after I lifted the receiver. I have reported this to the TPS.

just called me, siad calling from sky, when I ask what it was regarding she said that she had to go through som security questions. I said I wasnt going to giv this over the phone I dont know who you wer she then went on to qote my dob and the number of my house, not hard to get that info I said, Iadvised her to call back tomorrow giving me time to reserch this number and will now programme into my phone to ignore.

The reason he was asking you to confirm who you were is because of the Data protection act. He has to know he is speaking the right person. I had to reply because it is unbelievable how thick you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a few calls from this number whilst i was at work. Finally got to answer the call and it was Sky telling me that they wanted to reward me for being loyal. Naturally sceptical i refused to give all info until i had verified who they were. They offered me a free upgrade of package to all HD Channels for 6 months. Once i agreed the guy seemed to already have all my personal information so i wasn't too worried else why would he be calling me? checked my sky box and true to his word i now have all HD channels. Whether it is free or not i wait to see, but i will be checking my account as soon as i get the bill. Seems legit so far though

have had a missed call everyday from this number. Finally answered it today...some-one calling on behlaf of Sky. Just confirmed that I was the account holder and asked some questions. More of a courtesy call than an actual sales pitch. The agent was very pleasant and the call lasted a coule of minutes only. Completely different from the other call I got on behlaf of Sky which was to do with insurance on the Sy box post warranty.

Keep getting this call. Now I dont pick up at ll, the first one was an automated call centre.  Does anybody know who they are?

Sick to death of this number calling.  Wish they would all drop dead

Had several calls from this number both yesterday and today. As noted above, not all of them actually answer thanks to their wonderful automated dialling equipment.

Told the woman who rang tonight to remove my phonenumber from my system, and to stop calling me. She then had the audacity to hang-up on me.

Theses people are phoning twice a day, pick up and they hang up, it's getting [***] annoying, I suggest to people to contact the bbc watchdog, Sky has already been told off because of this and yet, they are still giving out our personal information to theses people to sell us their products.

Putting your name on the TPS don't work, even thoses sites are lies, because I've signed up to thoses people and i'm still getting annoying phone calls.

Contact the bbc watchdog people, share your story with them.

I've not removed my number from my sky profile and giving nothing but zero digits.

At least 20 calls from these nuisances over the last few days at all hours of the day, fed up of companies selling details so i have hit sky where it hurts and cancelled my subscription.  I know it was sky who sold my details as i foolishly didnt see the opt out of marketing section on my sky.com account, every other account i have with other companies is opted out.  Cancelling is the only way these companies will listen (plus i was annoyed over sky trying to monopolise broadband by only offering anytime+ to sky broadband subscribers only).  Everytime i answered to give them a mouthful there was no operator.  These automated calling systems should be banned imo.

Yes I've had three missed calls from this number 08433 770119 after have a busting row with SKY a while ago and yet they still call, I have now entered their system to have me removed from these types of calls the number for your information is 0208 495 8123 and if this fails to work I may well take court action against sky.

That number has called me 8 times today already and its not even 1pm. Every landline number I have had has been registered with TPS and still these calls have not stopped. I checked my Sky account online and I was 'opted out' of marketing calls on the day I signed up. I've since called Sky and the Advisor I spoke to told me that it was not a number connected to Sky in any way, his supervisor and manager confirmed this also. It just seems like no one can have a landline without getting pain in the backside calls. So now...I'm getting rid of Sky Talk...and my house phone. If TPS can't stop the calls...no one can.

This number has started ringing 3 or 4 times a day, it only rings for a while and then stops. I have rang it 3 times and told them to remove my number as it is in directory, but they are still ringing. They never answer with a company name just hello and assure me my number has been removed, but it hasn't.

Apparently they are an outsourced marketing company for SKY. (Confirmed by SKY that they do outsource this kind of thing). However you still need to know they are legitimate by:-

asking them the first four digits of your sky viewing card.....if they get it right, they are legitimate, if not hangup on them....simples

The first four digits of the card are important because they do not occur on any paper bills or post sent from sky so it is virtually impossible for someone to obtain them without a legitimate purpose.
