Report a phone call from 08433770119 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Peeps replies to jazy67Just had a chat wit hSky and they have confirmed that under no circumstances would they ever ask for a password on a call they have instigated.
Don't touch calls from this number. - jazy67Update on the Situation, I have just spoken with Sky Customer support and they have stated in black and white that this company is not calling on their behalf and they are now investigating as i pointed them to this website to show them how serious this problem has become.
I have sent in two complaints one to the Attorney General of the serious fraud department of our Government and one to the ICO which is a department of Ofcom, I will complain to as many departments as i can as this Scamimg B**st&ds have got my back up and picked on the wrong person to call and its about time they came down hard on people commiting fraud - jazy67Yet another call today, there are certainly persistant, Each time they ring i am going to answer and just leave the phone on the side for an hour at a time, not sure if this will do much but i am sure it keeps the line open which means they are paying for the call and this should run up there bill each time they call, Just make sure you dont leave the phone where they can here you talking in the background, we tried it today and left the phone in the conservatory. I would also urge everone that gets a call to complain to the telephone preference service if your a member if not make sure you join as last time we did it was free, if they get enough complaints they should act on this company. The reason i am so angry is we are ex directory and never give out our number even done to when filling in forms or comps we use a mobile number, so we are starting to deduct that our number has been sourced via sky as they have our land line and the company are quoting sky on there website, So lets see if this helps with the problem and dont forget to shut the call off after a period of time as you may miss an important call
- Caller: Careline / Sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- jazy67Telephone preference service is free to join and this is the web address
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/
You can join for free and it should in theory stop these unwanted calls - jazy67We have had a response from the TPS who contacted this company on our behalf and guess what no more calls, i would highly recommend the TPS as we have also notice since complaining we have not hada peep from our telephone

- SheilaThe no. 08433770119 phones every day. First couple of times I picked up and answered but now I don't. How can I get this to stop? No-one at the other end speaks. They just hang up. I'm x-directory.

- Kate| 2 repliesMissed calls first few times it rang but when my partner answered my phone caller said they would ring back. got a call today offered me SKY+HD Box with free installation instead of £60 asked for a call back caller helpful wasnt rude in anyway agreed to call back. I have phoned sky who said there is a note on my account for call at that time. it is legitimate, gave me the ID number of person who called for when they call back. advised numbers get set up when special offeres are running and sales themselves cant do same deal. Stop panicking, cold callers usually rude anyway but it is real. (and any company calling will verify they have got through to right person! would you like them ringing me instead of you about your account and me agreeing to services costing YOU extra a month cos they didnt check it was the account holder????)
- Caller: Sky
- MbukarThis number called me sevsral times in last one week. They drop even before i pick. Its annoying
- Caller: not mentioned
- CurlietopI have been getting a call from this number for the last few days, as I field my calls via an answerphone I never find out who it is etc.
My policy is if they don't leave a message they don't need to speak to me
However, when I do 1471 to get the last incoming call number it seems to always be this one, not in office hours and at weekends
What do I do next?- Caller: 08433770119

- Call type: Telemarketer
- Darren| 3 repliesI too have been receiving several calls from this number on a daily basis ranging from 8am - 9pm. Most of them are silent, one I answered asked for my details to which I refused and they hung up and one gentleman of international origin got very argumentative with me because I would not confirm details.
Ofcom have listed the company as Skymarket Limited which seem to be an outsourced company calling and selling on their behalf.
Made a complaint anyway as they need a volume of these before they take action so it might be worth complaining.
The link below is to complain of silent calls:
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/complain/landline/silent/?itemid=284827- Caller: Skymarket Limited/Careline Services Ltd on behalf of Sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- filizcik replies to Darren| 2 repliesI got a call at 13.40 today. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS. I too have registered a complaint with Ofcom and the TPS. I suggest everyone else does the same as it's the only way to stop these people. Thanks to the previous persons reply, I clicked on the link and it took me straight to Ofcom.
- star79 replies to filizcik| 1 replywell so far, in the last 2 &1/2 hours, i have received 30!!! yes, 30! missed calls from these people on my mobile. they have been pestering me for days, a couple of times a day and now this. i have tried to answer 7 or 8 times, only for them to hang up. very frustrating. time to make some complaints i think!
- star79 replies to star79as a follow on to my 30 calls in the last 2 & 1/2 hours, i rang the number back, who have confirmed via recorded message that they are indeed as the others have said, careline uk on behalf of SKY.
as a sky customer, i have phoned them directly and raised the issue of the nuicance calls. they have searched my account and noticed that the DO NOT give permission to allow details to be passed to outside companies was unchecked, as i had always dealt with them by phone. they have now checked the box to prevent future problems. they also reccomended contacting TPS on 0845 070 0707 who do mobiles and land lines.
SKY have also confirmed that careline services ltd is NOT one of their listed companies they have provided details to, and suggested this company is fraudulent. they also reccomended NOT phoning the number on the recorded message. they are investigating. - stevelog in to my sky then click on edit my profile then click marketing preferences then check both boxes Sky marketing and Tailored advertising then click save this should opt you out
- Caller: 0845s
- looanswered no one spoke nothing new there eh! why do these companies keep harrasing people ? ive registered with TPS but still get these calls.
- WombleNot happy with the guy's response - when I told him I wasn't giving him the 1st line of my address, as he should already have that if he rang me, he claimed he had to verify who he was speaking to - I said he wouldn't know even I said I was somebody who I am not.... work that one out!
- Peter TauntonI have in the last week received numerous calls from this number.
Not one has resulted in anybody talking to me, I have been told that it is a firm on behalf of Sky
they did contact me a few weeks ago and told me that my name has been removed from these lists and I would get no more calls.
How do I stop them please?- Caller: ???
- katy replies to Kate| 1 replyand how do YOU expect to add something onto someone elses account without a password or being able to verify account details ?? !! and even if you did get around this, YOU would be breaking the law.
- popsi replies to katyjust had a call from them (after an earlier hang up) - asked him outright - "are you Sky or an associated co?"
He said I'm from Sky -For DPA purposes can you confirm your password
Told him as I tell all such calls you phoned me - so no chance of me confiming who I am
What's worse is they say the call is being recorded so if that's the case the more personal information they can get on tape the more trouble you could be in
