got a call at 5.15pm asking for my name,to confirm who I was.
Asked them who they were, they wouldn't reply, just asked who I was.
I refused telling them they could be anyone, and that they could use details in a fraud!
They then said 'so your not going to confirm who you are then' To which I replied 'no you could be anyone, get in touch in writing'
They hung up,so looking at the comments above i'll be getting some more calls then!

I had a call 08448113701 and a text that said to call 08445597155 from these PDC or PDCS. I think I might owe money to e-on but no way am I paying up. It's a lot less than what they are saying. These energy company f***ers rip people so bad, saying that we have to use less energy but we will be charged more. It is only because they don't want their profits to drop when people 'go green' and start trying to 'save energy'. F**K 'EM!

I ignored a text from PDCS informing me that I owed money to NPower, considering that my account with them had been a direct debit and I had made my final outstanding charges payment to them, as well as the assumption that NPower would contact me directly if there had been any problems (a few comments on this website claiming it was a scam and the incredibly poor spelling of my name didn't strike confidence in me either!). However, after a couple of missed calls from this number a week or two later, I contacted them and NPower and confirmed that I had ANOTHER final payment to make that I had never recieved a letter regarding.
Although I would suggest that you always contact the actual company that the external company is trying to collect on behalf of before handing your card details over the phone, this is a real debt company and shouldn't be ignored. Otherwise, you find yourself in my position, with a large bill to pay and no money to pay it with!

I'm glad they don't discuss my debt with people without confirming who i was unless I want my neighbours finding out about my troubles.

I've had a letter from this company sent to my dads house asking me to ring them! I don't even live there, only stayed with him for a while due to personal situation. Then today his next door neighbour came round and said she'd had a call from this number asking if I lived next door!!! What a cheek. This is harrassment surely?????

You can have great fun with these people, they left a message with old work colleagues to call them, were calling about an old SKY TV debt.

I've been winding them up for an hour...  Don't call the 0844 number use geographic number.. 0141 951 3666

When they ask for your address try playing hangman with them, it's great fun. Give them letters of your street instead of the full street name, it infuriates them.

They insist on address before they will even tell you what they want because if you have "gone away", they use your disclosed address to further trace you.

Tell them "you guessed they are debt collection agency and your credit card is in front of you and want to make a payment because you hate having debts and are ashamed and embarrassed, it's never happened before blah blah... but I am just not going to tell a total stranger my address until you know who and what it's about".

They are obviously commission driven agents who's eyes light up at the thought of someone actually wanting to pay them...

Patiently this call center operator clinging to the hope of a bit of commission, put up with me for 1 hour, while we tried to find a mutual way to authenticate my address... played hangman.. then hot and cold...  In the end I read off a list of addresses I found on the internet and threw a few in like.. 4 Skin Row, Cockwell Inn.. she had no idea :-)

I had had enough, I gave her the address... then told her Sky can P**s off cos it never worked..

I've had two calls from this number today, I haven't been around to answer it but I looked it up on here..... Definitely do not owe a single penny to anyone, but not been in this house long so is it possible it's a previous holder of the phone number? Have never had any letters relating to any debts and no messages have been left. Also had a call last week which when I answered was a voiced text message requesting a call back to a company called mackenzie hall - who I understand chase debts too. No name was mentioned in the message.
Maybe I should change my number?

I always get calls for the same person and have had letters too - and not only from PDCS which is worrying. Haven't had any for months though, and recently had an answerphone message from 08448113701. Not going to call back.

Just find it strange - obviously someone is using my details somewhere, I do know this person lives in the same town but how did they get my ex directory number?

If I get any more I'm gonna have to take action, but what??
