- Nan replies to UnemployedDon't you just wish that people like "Dan" could find themselves in the same kind of trouble. I bet he also thinks pensioners should crawl away and die. Wait until he loses his job or gets old and see how he likes it. I don't usually wish people ill, but in his case I will make an exception.
- it isn't me replies to E Thom| 1 replyI've had the same thing
I asked how they got my Exdirectory phone never replied. Asked me for my reference number told him I don't have one. He hung up but I still get call from this company - Older.....and wiser????| 1 replyDon't let the [***] grind you down!
Don't waste your life talking to these scams........get yourself a cheap answerphone and then just don't answer ANY of their calls......no matter how frequent, simply let them run on to your answer machine.
9 times out of 10 they won't leave a message, and even if they do, don't call their Premium rate number......probably part of the scam.
If you do owe money, any reputable company must write to you telling you of the debt and providing quite clear information as to what the debt relates to in order to allow you to confirm whether it is legitimate or not.
If it is legitimate then DO reply to the letters.....using some of the smart and well thought out letter templates already provided in some of the earlier comments by some obviously smart, experienced people.
If you patiently refuse to answer the calls they will gradually get less annoying to you, and eventually they will cease and go off and hound some other poor unsuspecting sap who may not be as determined as you, or as well clued in .......unless of course they have also read my blog!!!!
You will note that, unlike some of the inane messages from idiots woefully trying to disguise the fact that they are obviously part of these scams, my message is couched in proper grammar and spelling.
So ignore these bullies, thugs and fraudsters.........get on with your life...........ignoring them will annoy them more than it will you!!!!!
Good luck.- Caller: PCDS

- JohnI had an under-clear message left by an automated voice, giving the name of someone who does noot live here and a 'case number'.
Having looked on this site, I rang PDCS (I had thought the voice said PBCS)and spoke to a Scottish gentleman called Ian.
He said it must be a wrong number, apologised and said that the number would be removed.
I hope that this meant that my telephone number would be removed.- Caller: PDCS
- hornswaggle replies to Joshua EnigmaIf you know for a fact you cant have a debt as you are on a pre payment meter then I would suggest you check with your supplier because
A. People like you get it wrong all the time, your utility supplier is charging you up to £2.50 per week in standing charges which they add for any maintenance and change in prices of energy for you having a prepaid meter. EG, You top up £10.00 every week but the price of energy goes up however you keep topping up £10.00, you will get the same amount of energy which is now dearer, for the same £10.00 until your supplier sends an engineer to recalibrate your meter, this falls under maintenance, hence the standing charges.
B. When you agreed to have a prepayment meter put in it was probably because you were unable to afford your utility bills, meaning you are paying off a debt, therefore rendering your previous quote stupid, that you "know for a fact you don't have a debt". Interest will be added to your standing charges whilst you are paying off a debt to them, totalling a maximum £100.00 per annum.
C. If you have a prepayment meter installed from a new supplier and used your old supplier's card to top it up then you do have a debt, this is similar to buying your shopping from waitrose and giving Asda the money, all of this would be considered when your energy company spent money trying to track you down for payment before supplying your details to a collection agency at some cost to themselves, so I'm pretty sure they would have checked and double checked that you owe them money, and finally ..
D. You sound like the kind of pretentious [***] who googles his information then phone's companies to complain. I deal with little [***]'s like you on a daily basis, so here's the 411 [***] tits. When you finally grow a pair of balls and face up to your responsibilities that comes with having a home and paying bills, you'll probably come out with every excuse under the sun to not pay by demanding everything as proof, so here goes:
A pre payment meter is a deemed contract, you did not sign for it when you asked for it so DO NOT ASK for the credit agreement proving you have a contract, you have the meter that is your contract.
You will not receive a copy invoice for proof this is owed, you are on a prepayment meter which you do not get billed monthly or quarterly for so why would they jump up and pull a rabbit out of their [***] to send you a bill now, you toff nosed little [***] stain.
The longer you keep pretending youre right and you don't owe this the larger the bill will be and if you don't pay 25% of it within 6 months of it being passed to a collections agency, your supplier will pass it to a reference agency, where they will show on your credit file, as a default for 6 years meaning you will still be arguing with the bank that this is not your bill when they refuse you for your overdraft to top up your meter in winter because no other energy supplier will supply you without over inflated prices until you pay your debt.
Energy companies do not sell their debts, they employ agencies as a sub contractor to work them because we are too busy supplying our paying customers with a top notch service that we don't want to neglect them to chase you for you £40.52 debt, you [***].
So you have 2 options, phone the collection agency, keep your utility supply and pa off your debt in instalments, or don't phone them, they'll pass the account back to your supplier because they don't buy debts, we will get a subject access warrant, enter your house, shut you off then send bailiff's to remove items from your house to the value of the bill.
Your Move Mr. Know it all - Hornswaggle replies to Older.....and wiser????Ok, where to start with your misguided quotes, numb nuts.
The first thing is the cheap answer machine, sounds to me like someone has a chip o their shoulder because they're too cheap to buy a decent answer machine, or a phone with one built in, that would suggest you don't pay other things, leading to sum up you are in debt. Hence the reason you don't like debt collectors.
Debt collectors will send you something in writing, but, wait for it, the reason they have called you is because your debt has been passed to them by your creditor, who has exhausted all activity in contacting you, probably because you were not man enough to answer the phone and let them go straight to your cheap answer machine.
So now the collection agency stopped contacting you, do you know what that mean ? I'm sure you think you do, but stop thinking, you're wrong.
It means your account is now back with the original creditor, here's the scenario:
You join BT and don't pay your bill
BT phone you for payment and you refuse
BT continue to service the customers who do pay and stop wasting time on non paying customer i.e You
BT then hire a collection agency such as PDCS to work your account on their behalf.
You buy a cheap answering machine and don't speak to them either.
PDCS don't care, they didn't buy the debt and they pass it back to BT, at no loss to them, in fact, they were paid quite handsomely to contact you, and now BT want that money back from you, you wasted their time and used the product: You're [***] !
The account is not passed to a collection agency, rather it is now paid to a credit reference agency.
You will remain adamant you are right because you sound like a pretentious [***] and claim you don't care about your credit rating anyway, because that's where this debt is now. On your credit file like a big black mark, but you don't care, you have enough money because you don't pay for anything unless it's a cheap answering machine.
Then you die, and your wife cant afford the funeral because of YOUR credit rating she cant get a bill, (it's called the financial link) and it affects your spouse, and she cant phone anyone for a loan of money because you never paid your phone bill in the first place.
Your move, [***]. - Hornswaggle replies to it isn't meHoly crap this place is full of stupid.
Your phone number is not Exdirectory, it's Ex Directory.
Did you see the space there?
It means your number was in the directory at some point, making it current directory, your number is not there anymore, meaning it is now Ex Directory, free for anyone to use as it was in the public domain for a time but now it is hidden. It's like seeing a girl you used to go out with and saying "That's my ex girlfriend" meaning she used to be your girlfriend, like I say it's all in the space.
You're welcome, you Ex exdickhead (space means youre still a [***] now hahahaha) - terry butchers army beater replies to Terry Butchers armysDoubt it, you [***] liar. PDCS are a 3rd party who do not purchase debt but are employed by the creditor to collect debts which the creditor themselves are too busy to collect, as they are probably providing a service to the customers who did pay. As they did not buy the debt they cannot have any bearing on your credit rating, ergo if y our credit rating is [***], your creditor done that long before it was passed to a debt collector.
And by the way, so that the son is nit punished for the crimes of the father, your address wont be black listed, just your name will have a negative rating, they done away with the black list years ago.
Atleast do some background checks before coming on line with a [***] name and spouting your [***]. Fud. - Hornswaggle replies to TruthI would like to know where you get your information from ?
Defamation of character is illegal !
Here's where you went off the rails with your wild quotes, you crazy cat.
1. It is not a scam, PDCS are a registered company and you can check with companies house and all the appropriate finance sector registers.
2. PDCS moved address as more people like you who, wrongly thought they knew their [***], kept getting in to debt, they got bigger and you got wronger.
[***], your move - Hornswaggle replies to James DeehanLiar.
If they had breached dpa this would have involve ed them telling someone, not you, exactly why they were calling. for rxample
"Hi can I speak to this tight fisted [***] who doesn't pay his bills, he owes sky £400, ?"
if they didn't do that, they didn't break dpa!
£5000.00 = liar
ex directory ? = used to be in the directory, use your head man.
I hate you - VdiffThis company woke me up whilst sleeping off a night shift. I called them back, they ask for a client id number which I don't have!! When I said I don't have one the operator on the other end said ill transfer you. It rang and then hung up....!!! These types of companies need to be more tightly regulated, sick of these types of calls and I'm registered to TPS.

- Andrew stauntonI had a call from the 0141 numver fr the second time in a week today. They asked for me by name. So me being me i pressed 1 to confirm i was the person they wanted to speak to. It kept repeating a message saying someone will answer shortly. After about 15 times the phone went dead. I rang the number back and spoke to a scottish guy. I told him about the call and he asked if it was the number i was calling off which i said yes. He said my full name to which i didnt confirm was mine. I just told him it was a business phone which i have had the calls on and shouldnt ve contacted by random numbers. Politly he removed the numvers from the database straight away and appologised. Telling me i wont be contacted again. Yeah ok we will see. Oh an make sure you tell them you are recording the call your end. Works a treat.
