Call but never leave a message.

i answer but no one there and they don't leave a message and i have had a call at 8.56pm. which i was not hapy with.

Repeated calls, never leave a message. I called back, turns out it's First Assist insurance. Nothing to do with me, so it must be a cold call, badly done.

aa trying to sell life insurance, phone me up and then ask me to verify who i am, reply was "youve just phoned me mate you tell me who i am"

Just had this lot ring me. First Assist phoning saying they are offering something additional for AA members. As "suspicious" has said above, they asked me to verify my post code so they were sure who I was. I said, er you called me so you already know it's me. They skipped that bit and then started asking about what I did for a living, whether I had any kids blah, blah. I didn't give much away to be honest as wasn't sure where this was leading to so I just said what's the reason for the call. Was told it was about accident life cover. I said I already had that and wasn't interested. Put the phone down. What a waste of time!!!!

I saw the number and didn't answer the call.

They phoned at 5:15 pm but they have tried at phone as last as 9 at night.

have been receiving calls from this number since 9th April 08.  Also many many withheld numbers three to five minutes apart.  I know the 08450262531 is first assist because i have rung it back and the recording says sorry we have missed you first assist insurances services limited.  I have reported all these calls to BT nuisance callers number as their marketing opertives have also been calling regularly on 0800285085, my husband and  I both suffer from extreme depression and anxiety these calls are making our life miserable they are targeting our business number that is also our home and we have had to resort to putting the answering machine on at all times.

Had a number of calls from this number over the last few days. Answered one and was told it was First Assist with a particular offer for AA members but wanted to start verifying who I was before explaining so I just got rid of them saying I was busy. Kept pestering me with multiple calls last night, answered one but of course I wasn't connected to an operator. Answered one today and managed to speak to someone, this time I simply denied knowledge of the person they were wanting to speak to (me) and hopefully left them under the impression that they've got the wrong number. Will have to wait and see if that's the end of the calls.

This number rings days and evenings and when answered there is no one there. Another numbber is 0845 7585775 which has a person on the end of it. They appologise put you on hold to take removal details and never come back....

This number still rings and hassles me. I managed to speak to a person behind the number who says they are from the AA and can I speak to Mr King. I replied I hope not as no one at this number has that name. Then he asked well who is on this number and can he check details. At that I demamnded he take my number off his dialing list. They are just trying to scam information. They ring at all hours.

I have also received calls from this company. They call three times in one day,including saturdays, trying to sell me insurance which I don't need. This is their true call centre number 0845 026 2441.

I've just got in and I have a missed call from this number, is there any way to stop them calling?

what can u actually do with the last part of someones post code, DOB, Ocupation, Material status seriously?

have about 10 yes 10 phone calls from this number a day getting really annoying went into this website and fould out it was first assist phoned it back and it just sorry we missed your call ALL I WANT IS THEM NOT TO PHONE ANYMORE CAN'T THEY GET THE MESSAGE.

Just had a phone call from this number claiming to be the AA selling me a new service. They asked me for my date of birth to 'confirm they were talking to the right person'. Did a 1471 and got this number.

Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Utterly shambolic, the first question they ask your 'dob'? I hesitated but stupidly gave it, be very aware. Scandalous that in 2008 that this still goes on.

Just got a call from this company but didnt answer it. Funny how i joined the aa a month ago!!

Did a quote online for AA contents insurance and have had constant calls every day from this number even though I have spoken to AA and told them I didnt want the quote!!

Just had a call from this number, on a blinkin' Saturday. Honestly. I have caller display so any unavailable or 0845 numbers etc that come up, I completely ignore  and then come on here to see what's what. If it's important, they can write to me (if it's a legit company I deal with) or leave a message on my answering machine.

Scammers cold calling. Ignore them!

PS Yes, actually, you can get a great deal of infor from people confirming their post code, DOB etc! DURRR!

Interesting that the AA are mentioned. I'm with them, and I got a call at my office number. Wonder if they are passing out our details?
