i have had many calls from companys talking ppi.when i ask how they have got my number they tell me "from the uk database".now i was lead to beleive that these people should be keeping data "private"  answers please.the telephone preference say they cant do anything about it,if this isnt a waste of time why enlist with them

this number calls constantly after 6pm, long silence beforethey talk!  fed up of it, we just ignore now but they still call

guys...just ignore...chill out.  Thanks now i know to continue ignoring this number.

It's a phone call, hardly cause to make your life miserable! Who is stupid enough to have their home number as their business numbers? Me thinks your penny pinching has come back to haunt ya :-/

First Assist called from this number, oh behalf of AA (Who I have a membership with). The very polite lady called Becky asked me if I was free to talk, and I advised her that I was at work.

She said it would have taken ten minutes but as I was at work it's nothing to worry about and they would call me back another time.

The call may be a waste of my time, but was made bearable by the manners and politeness of Becky.

this caller has rung me 14 times ine past 6 days. No messge ever left!

Numerous calls but ignoring it though

keep getting calls from 0845 0262531 trying to sell me accident travel insurance connected to my AA policy.
i asked for the company details to which i was told it would be sent to me with a welcome pack, i refused to give any bank details out over the phone. she gave me o contact number of 0840700458 this made me suspicious and after reading all the other poor people who have been contacted and pestered im glad i checked.
i haven't given permission for my details to be given to any one i always opt out.

This number called me and gave me the AA story ( I called the AA out 2 days before). Stupidly (I recognise that now in hindsight) I talked to one of their staff who was really nice but still, he wouldn't let me go without a fight. Since that phone call I've had continuous calls... 3 or 4 times a day!

Do you think they will ever give up?

This company has called me 20 times in the last week. It's ridiculous.

get calls from this number daily, hangs up when i answer

Its a scam, they hang when you pick up, hoping you'll ring them back on their premium rate number.

I got a call from this number and now know I can block it. If you have a smart phone you can block incoming calls from known numbers and usually from withheld, if you wish. For Android I use BlackList, does the trick.

got repeated calls from these people for the last month. they only let the phone ring a couple of times then hang up. i haven't answered. and i won't now i'm sure they're cold calling. it's really irritating behaviour.

Succession of calls from this number, never leaves a message and when I call back and answer phone states its 'First Assist Insurance'. Very annoying as have had several late night calls and weekend calls and they have not got the courtesy to leave a message. If they call again, they can have it both barrels!!!

They keep ringing. Leave no message. Calling me between 8 - 9pm.
Don't ring back coz its an 0845 number which will charge you.
If its the AA like people are saying then I really don't know why they

A little tip - if you do answer the phone to this number and you're connected to someone at the other end, immediately tell them that you are in the Army/Navy/Air Force as you don't qualify for whatever it is their selling you, and they take you off the list and no more calls are made :)

Annoying cold calls phone every night

I have been getting 3-4 calls a day off this number for the last 3 weeks. The first time I answered and they tried to sell me insurance for cover me in an accident in my car, my phone battery ran out so they got cut off. They have been calling ever since.
