- Weld of Fabrications LtdRepeated calls, no message, late calls at office number.
- JanJust tried to put my baby in bed, then the phone started ringing - how annoying!!!
- gizzyHave been getting calls from this number up to 5 times a days, from early morning to late evening. WHO do you complain to to stop these nuisance calls????
- SugarWHO THE HELL KEEPS RINGING ME ON THIS NUMBER??! SATURDAY MORNING, UNSOLICITED CALLS WHICH THEN REPEAT ALL DAY EVERYDAY AND UP UNTIL 9PM??!
- AnonAA called, asked me to confirm my DOB to ensure they were talking to the rite person
daftly gave it.
then they said they were going to ask some personal questions to see about cover- thats when i got suspicious and told them to get lost.
seemed v dodgy!- Caller: AA
- Corinnethey keep calling me,the last time I spoke to them I mentioned I worked for benefit fraud investigations for the DWP and they hung up,well they asked my occupation must have spooked them! as if I would give my details to a complete stranger on the phone from some dodgy call centre.....like yeah fat chance!
- Caller: so called AA
- ChrisThis is terrible! We have received 4 calls from this number, all at dinner time. The voice on the other end asks for your date of birth after claiming that she has a special offer for AA customers. I complained to the AA today (member services) and was told that I will be removed from this list within 7 days. These people were very rude to both my wife and me and they can't take a hint! Hanging up on them didn't work and when my wife said that I wasn't interested, the lady on the phone claimed that she had to hear it directly from me (even though they have). I think this is ludicrous. If I hear from them again after next week, I'm canceling my AA membership.
- Caller: First Assist Insurance Services Limited
- mrs coggerusually calls late evenings wehen ive tried hard to put the kids in bed.i just turn it off when i see the number.nuisance
- MarkThis lot just called me on my home number. My home number is ex-directory, the line has anonymous call reject and I only give the number out to companies or people I trust.
First Assist in association with the AA he said. Wanted to know my postcode to confirm who he was speaking to. Er, you phoned me shitforbrains...
When I said I wasn't confirming anything he hung up.
Came on here (very useful site by the way) and fed his number in. Looks as though the AA are selling my personal details. Boy are they in for a rocket...- Caller: First Assist
- MarkFor info: Just complained to the AA.
No denial that they had sold/given my personal details to First Assist. I told them I want the calls stopped straightaway, and the woman at the AA call centre said that they would take my name off the list immediately and I'd receive no further calls.
I asked if they had given my personal details to anyone else and she said 'no, only this one, they deal with the insurance'.
Added that my number was on the telephone preference service already and these calls shouldn't be happening at all.
Any future transgressions and I'll be straight onto the Information Commissioner.- Caller: First Assist
- AnnoyedHow can we stop this wretched phone call from this number?
- waryGlad, in a way, others have experienced similar. Too much fishing for info from this lot. Wouldn't be surprised if they themselves sell on what they manage to crib. Supposedly trying to sell an insurance policy, but not prepared to mail details - except a "welcome pack" when you've signed up. My AA car insurance is up for renewal, and on principle I will change policies if they are linked to this. I urge others to do the same. When I asked the caller for a website, they said they had one but with no up to date details. Please give me the website address anyway, I said. The phone went dead at their end. Shoddy.

- Fed-up with being disturbedWe've received 3 calls in as many days. Damned annoying especially as I have an elderly parent. Any unexpected call is always an initial worry that I particularly don't need.
- Caller: First Assist
- P'd off in PartickEndless calls from this number - every ten minutes on Saturday for 2 hours while i was trying to bath the toddler and get him to bed. I tried to answer and just got a dead tone. RAGING!!
- Anon.Just had a call from this number, and they hung up after a few seconds without saying anything. I called back to hear a recorded message saying it was First Assist and they were sorry I'd missed their call. No option to talk to anyone. Irritating.
I called First Assist head office on 020 8652 1313, they put me through to someone in Plymouth who was very polite and said it could be because I was an AA or Halifax Insurance customer. She arranged to have me removed from their calling lists.
I'd recommend giving that a try.- Caller: First Assist
- giggles1108450262531 AAAAAAAARRRRRRRR They phone me 5-6 times aday at all times.
Got to the point i don,t answer the phone any more. - SheldonJust had two calls from them both hitting my *office* voicemail as I couldn't answer them at the time
- one yesterday with no message, just silence
- today actually had an automated message with no indicator of what it was about or who they were. Message was along the lines of: "Sorry we could not put through you to an advisor, we shall call again. If you do not wish to be called again contact 0845 0730013 leaving your name and number"
So they think I'm gullible enough to phone them back on another 0845 number? - TimCheck your terms and conditions with the AA people - you'll find that they're entitled to pass your details to 'carefully selected' companies who may contact you to offer products and services of interest (or some such wording), but basically, unless when you sign up to the AA (and most other organisations) you need to specify that you don't want your details being passed to anyone else, and then they're duty bound not to do so.
But if you don't explicitly tell them, the small print allows it.
