- IRATEI am on BT call preference and I am still getting these type of calls. How do we stop this? Always early evening when we just want to unwind after a hard working day !!!!!
- Davex replies to Muppet MuncherThen they got your email address too!
- Telephone repair manThey have called my main work number, so I put them on hold and then parked the call.
Keep them on the line as long as possible it costs them money!!! they soon get the message or hopefully go out of business.- Call type: Survey
- Jak replies to Curved Air Marketing SolutionsWhy do you operate a system that blocks my line until the recorded message has finished. If this continues I will consider charging you for misuse of my telephone line.
- Al HunterThese guys keep pestering my phone number with there recorded messages - most annoyingly it is around 5.30 when I am having some quality teatime with my family. Can anyone get them to stop their nonsense?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AlderstoneThese pests phone me at work, they only ever get my voicemail as it's an IP phone which is logged out overnight. And they have called me on my ISP's IP phone, which I have never used (even I don't know the setup for it 'cos I've never used it).
They'll never get me, but I do have to hit the delete button on my voicemail (and now an email saying I have voicemail).
None of the messages say who they are, just "enter a prize draw to win £100 of M&S vouchers"- Call type: Survey
- Derekive just received a message from 08450304416 number and was left on my answering machine apparently ive been put into a list of 10 names to win £100 sainsbury vouchers.
but how they get my No im X Directory ?? - ken fenton replies to Curved Air Marketing SolutionsHi.
Liars and charlatans. Play their own game. Answer the telephone survey and give them a false name and then a false address and relevant post code so when the sales people knock on a door they quickly realise they have been had. - Tornirsk| 1 replyToday I had a message on my answer machine asking me if I was aware that one could get grants for loft insulation. They asked me to enter 1 for Yes and 2 for No. Same here I'm ex dir and registered with TPS. I just deleted the message. I'm surprised that this Taylor bloke is making money. There must still be plenty of suckers about. They call it survey to get round the rules - crafty sods!!!

- PeteGot a call from these. I'm ex directory and on TPS.
Opted out via website. But no surprise that their contact button reurns error 404, page not found. Scam ? I think so.- Caller: Curved Air Marketing Solutions

- DeeI've just had a call from this number and have added it to my list of numbers that I don't answer. I give them their own special ringtone so I know it's a nuisance call without going to check the phone.

- Paul| 1 replyJust got a call from this number 08450304416 a ladies voice saying something like energy survey also mentioned £100 Marks & Spencer’s vouchers for taking part. Then says press 9 to opt out and not be called again. I hung up in case it's one of those calls that can charge you when you push 9. Not sure if that is what happens but didn't want to risk it. I just called back the number and you get the survey starts off Are you aware of government grants for free insulation press 1 for yes 2 for no so I hung up.
Checked their website www.curvedairmarketingsolutions.co.uk possibly a legitimate company seems telephone preference is more of a voluntary thing as no has been prosecuted say wikipedia.- Caller: Curved Air Market Research

If there's anyone getting pestered who lives near here perhaps thay could go round
and "have a word" in their ear - Ron GravesDespite being registered with TPS I get an insane number of these calls. including this number. The solution, for me, at least, is caller ID. If I don't recognise the number, it doesn't get answered (it helps, too, to have a ring tone that's not annoying!). Only people I legitimately want to hear from have my number (I'm ex-directory).
- Caller: I didn't answer
- Wobblybob.Just reported them through TPS, I am with kingston communications from Hull, its a PLC company so maybe selling our numbers on in these hard times to make a quick buck, am registered with TPS for over a year, but fails to stop these nuisance people calling, i am unplugging my phone, and will just use line for internet connection until something is sorted with these degenerates.

- news2744Hello people,
Just had a call from this number and I thought I would check on this site to see who is saying what about them and it’s more or less the same as other reported numbers on this site, “ where did they get my number from” , “I’m registered with TPS”, “ somebody should do something about it” etc, etc.
One thing we all agree on is that being targeted by these calls in your own home is bloody annoying.
Let us use some common sense (but as someone says on one of these threads, why do they call it common sense when it seems to be in such short supply?).
What is the purpose of these calls? Answer, directly or indirectly to extract money from you.
How do you stop them? Answer, you don’t, but you can drastically reduce them by not answering them,
It seems that If you answer and speak to them you become a” live target” and whatever answer or sarcastic remark you make they will call again and again and again, it also seems that as a” live target” your number will be passed on to other companies and organisations .
So how do we filter these calls? Ideally you need caller recognition and an answer phone though just an answer phone will suffice, with caller recognition if the number calling you is stored in your phone then obviously it is someone you know so you can safely answer but if the display shows a number which is not recognised or private caller or out of area then let the call go to answer phone, if you don’t have caller recognition then let all calls go to answer phone with the message, or something similar to "If you are trying to sell me something or are begging for money or you are going to tell me that there is something wrong with my computer BUGGER OFF otherwise leave a message after the tone" If you are not available to take the call and it’s someone you know who gets the answer phone they will leave a message, if its someone you don't know and they are genuine they will leave a message, you then decide if you want to call them back, to date no messages have been left by the nuisance callers and I have had the satisfaction of telling them to bugger off.
It won’t stop all the unwanted calls but like I said it will eventually drastically reduce them, I was getting up to six calls a day now I get one or two per week.
Don’t start calling 1471 to find out who is calling you or follow any instructions to stop receiving the calls, just ignore them.
IT WORKS.
