If we have registered with the TPS why should we have to opt out of every tin pot nuisance company?  The law does not serve us well - for example, why on earth should recorded message calls be outside the remit of TPS?  If I give my number to such a company because I want to opt out - can they then claim I am a customer and therefore by implication misuse my number freely?  To report persistent recorded messages I had to crosscheck to find out who they were, give their address and contact details.  To be fair, having done all that I think that group of companies have now stopped phoning us as we were having about 6 calls a day on many days.   I think telephone services need to ensure we can both refuse to accept a call with number withheld and also any number we choose to put in our systems as blacklisted.  It is time control is returned to us - we do pay enough.  Reverse look up directories or databases should also be freely available.

After a few weeks of silence, getting these tossers calling again.
My supplier (virgin) said they can't block individual numbers and I've reported it already to TPS, why are these pricks allowed to spam call people with no repercussions?

Its spam.... if we're not getting enough of that via emails and on our doorsteps these people now assume that we can stop what we're doing to answer the phone..... Grrrrr!

I agree with the sentiment of pretty well every comment I've read on this unethical company, and their low-life operators.
I've got hold of 3 of the manager's e-mail addresses, which are below.
If as many of you as possible can send in e-mails, telling them what we think, then they'll get pretty fed up - much as we are!
However, if you don't want your usual e-mail address in their grubby hands, then you can register with a 'temporary e-mail address' site (just Google that term to find them) and you can then send using it; and these scamsters can't then bother you by e-mail!

PS When you e-mail, copy the other 2 in, and do the same for each, so each will receive 3 e-mails from you!

Of course 'copy and paste' the text in your e-mail, to minimise your work and effort, and perhaps even e-mail this out to friends you know who may also have been bothered by this very contemptible company.

MAYBE you could also - if you're minded - copy in both OFCOM and the TPS, so that each party/recipient can SEE you're serious, and KNOW that you really have contacted all parties!

Call range but luckily I didn't get to the phone quick enough.  No answer from me, i'll look out for the number again if they phone back.. My phone shows any number that has called, and any missed calls.

Cold call with various options to press for kitchens bathrooms etc

Had one of these calls today. Been on TPS for years, and it seems to have worked until now except for "International Calls". Had an argument with a marketing guy using "International Calls" a few days ago, so maybe they passed my number around.

Regarding my above post, just noticed that the number was 00 845 0304436.  Does this make it the same company or a fake ?

Right... this needs handling carefully. I believe people are complaining about two different things here. The 0845 version of the number and the 00 845 version.  Mine are coming from 00 8450304436 - a recording which says it is Marketing Solutions.

I tried reporting this number to TPS - they don't deal with recorded messages, and told me to contact www.ico.gov.uk.  

They say I have to ring the number first to ask them to stop. BUT - where or what is 00 845... I can see that this could be a con job and cost a  lot of money ???  PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Just received a cold call from 'Hothouse Energy'.  When I enquired who supplied my phone details, I was told via Curved Air Global.  The supervisor agreed to remove me from their list but how do I get back to the source of the intrusion, Curved Air Global?
