I have just been called by 08451113111. As soon as I answered the phone they hung up!!

Constant calls

had call from this no last night around 9 pm

This number calls day and night constantly they disturb my sleep as i work shifts. V anoying when trying to sleep. Selling cavity wall insulation i think, Didnt have the patience to find out more.

Call at 8pm said they were UK energy advisors said no thanks and hung up.
Like most of the posts we are supposed to be registered with TPS
How do they get away with this?

Polite enough but obviously don't have a will to abide by TPS and not call those on the list.
How can they know my house has grants available for loft and cavity insulation... it was built new last year and has maximum insulation everywhere already.

Same here, 08451113111 ringing to try and flog me loft insulation. Claimed to be from Nationwide Energy Services. I too am TPS registered - what a useless bunch they seem to be.

Clearly is not a scam otherwise it would have been illegal by now? All this company aims to do is to make people aware there is this grant avaliable to them (all homeowners in the uk are entitled to their 80% grant). If people actually take time to listen instead of jumping to their own bias conclusions they would see that it is actually very beneficial to them and this company also aims to reduce peoples carbon emissons and energy bills, this is why it is a 'goverment backed grant scheme'.

If you check out TPS you'll find they have no control over many unsolicited calls. I pay BT a quarterly charge to bar unwanted calls and they have no control over numerous ones of this kind either which makes one wonder whether the fee is worth it or not. Problem there is....how many of these annoying [***] would you then get down your earpiece if you bailed out of the barring option with BT.

It's irrelevant whether they deserve a Nobel prize for informing the Great British public on their entitlement to grants etc. The problem is that they are cold calling people registered with the TPS!! That, in itself, gives a very poor impression of any company. Poor management and desperate selling tactics. Wouldn't touch a firm like that with a barge pole.

My answer machine picked up a call from this number at 2pm today.  The caller said 'b.....d' then hung up. This upset me very much.  Is there nothing that can be done about these calls? I have kept the recording.

Getting calls from this number wish they would stop

They called today with the regular spiel about Government grants etc.. When I asked where they got my number they said from the electoral register. When I pointed out the electoral register doesn't hold telephone numbers he said "Yes it does". When I said I was TPS registered he asked how long I'd been registered. I said several years and he replied "well you have to register every year"! What a d***head thinking I'd fall for those lies.

I mentioned his parentage ;-) and suggested he should leave and procreate ;-) and put the phone down on him.

Been ringing my mob no for days now.  I've not answered and have no intention of answering.  They'll get bored before I do!!!  Sometimes for fun with these calls I'll answer, but not speak and just leave them hanging.  I've switched off the answer machine facility on my mob as it gets on my nerves so they can't leave messages either.

stop calling, you are breaking the law by cold calling me and a complaint has been lodged

Just had call from Nationwide Energy. Guy with Welsh accent. Told him not remotely interested.

(I don't need anything doing, and never respond to any phone calls or people at door - always research thoroughly before considering anything).

Said I was TPS registered, and never to call again.

Just rang, ran to phone as I have familay abroad at the moment.  It went through to voicemail and they hung up.  I'm tps registered too.
