recieved a call at 8.23am on a monday morning!!! Shocking!! thank goodness for caller ID!

Many of the directors of this company are also directors of many other companies registered at the same address.

I can only assume that the same group of people operate under many varied companies some dissolved many appear active.
I get calls from them many times a week, I wish there were an ability to make a super complaint about them but apart from being rude and arrogant they seem to operate close but within the law.
Does any form of offensive language from them enable us to complain under some law or another?
Why us it that tweeters are procecuted but telephone abuses are not?

Had a call this morning from this lot, Nationwide Energy Services. They knew my address which was really creepy, and wanted me to confirm I lived here. When I asked where they got that from, the woman said from a Government search, she was trying to make out they were official. I told them I was registered with the TPS and stopped the call, she was still jabbering when I did. They have called before so doubt I've got rid of them.

Yes it's the Government's energy advisor and the Call Centre Manager is Lewis Thomas. I received 3 calls in an hour this morning and 3 yesterday afternoon with the same result.......I answer and the phone goes down at their end immediately......This system is used by call centre workers to show that their ID number has made the required number of target calls in a given hour. I phoned the number back and gave the unfortunate person taking my call both barrels. My number has been removed. I suggest you do the same.

Someone somewhere knows this is going on and yet they haven't been fined into oblivion - any sleuths out there? Just silent then a single tone.

Used my name asked me to confirm my address which I refused to do. Man implied call was part of official grant scheme for cavity wall and roof insulation I said I was on TPS he ignored this and continued, I said was not interested already had insulation, he started to quiz me on when it was installed. I reiterated I did not take cold calls, I was on TPS, requested he remove my name from his list and put the phone down. I have barred the number.

had same company call me, they use an international no. so phone companys can't block them
i spoke to a person called paul williams from energy grant advisor.
they have a website which u can go on and send contact info to them if you feel like wasting there time by sending false info why not. lol

Caller new my name and offered me a government insulation grant. He was very polite until I said 'No thanks' he hung up without saying goodbye.

Just received a call this morning from this bunch of jokers with this number being shown.

We have had a lot of "International" calls recently - possibly related?

We are also on the TPS. Have complained about them and also reported to my local Trading Standards.

So rude and they will not listen and do not understand the word NO! and what it means.

Just had a call from this number. Heard someone talking in the background then put the phone down. Reported to Ofcom as a silent call.

Answered phone and man asks for my partner by sir name.  Said not in at present and offered to pass message.  He just said forget it and hung up.

Tried ringing me also and I've only just got the number!

I received a call from this number today. Not only am I ex-directory but I have TPS as well so should not be receiving these calls.

Got a phone call this morning from this number at 8.45am -   Just checked on line to see whos number it was and realised it is the same company who rings regularly.

Do they not check the age of the houses they are offered improvements to ....... my house is not very old and is already insulated!!

We had our number changed, my wife refuses to answer the phone, we're registered with TPS and ex-directory and should not be getting this sort of crap anymore, but we're getting it at the same time everyday, never leaving a message or anything, surely this sort of activity needs to be stooped, its damned annoying.
