The company using this number is Nationwide Energy Services and their website is http://www.nesuk.com/ I can only apologise if someone has caused you a problem by mistyping. - No prosecutions for the 18 months to April 2012, despite 2,000 complaints per month!
- Some cold calling companies make vast amounts of money by not abiding by the TPS regulations. They even just use ordinary telephone directories. They do not fear prosecution, as none ever happens.
- The TPS does not apply in one situation. If at any time in the past a service or product has been taken (for example, financial advice) and consent was given to being contacted in the future, then that company -and companies associated with it- can legally make contact, despite registration with the TPS. That company can also legally sell these details to other companies.

- SquiggleThese people called me to despite being TPS registered. They also have a free phone number 0800 408 9000. Have tried it a couple of times - nobody answers but it goes thro' to a message saying they are experiencing telecom difficulties and please try again later. It costs them every time someone rings and their answer machine kicks in. So I shall keep calling them. They may or may not ever answer (if so they'll get an earful). If not, it will cost them money. If enough people phoned often enough we could cause them the sort of pain they cause us.
