    Get these Energy Grant Advisors call every day! They usually ask for a Miss Knight (no such person) then tell you about free insulation.. I've reported them to telephone preference service.. Though I think the number they gave could be false.. They are a ruddy nuisance.

    I get these calls everyday! Report them to Telephone Preference Service.. They usually start by asking for a Miss Knight - who does not exist. Then tell you about free insulation. Very reluctant to give you their phone number.. Always Asian call centre operators..

    Rang last Wednesday - I told him ('Jason') that the details that he was after were none of his business to which he replied 'Go f*** yourself'. What a charmer .... !

    That is disgusting. I had a call from an Indian call centre a few months ago. The fella told me to '[***] your [***]' when I challenged the nonsense he was spouting. Telephone contact is spiralling out of control Government needs to tackle this head on. TPS registration means nothing I fear

    Just had a call from them...said something about being local engineers...wanted to replace my "inefficient ch boiler" which is nearly new!   I'm TPS but doesn't seem to stop them.

    Lady with Welsh accent in contact from Nationwide Energy, burbling about grants for loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. Phone number obviously gained from telephone directory not from Council or energy supply as asked for Mr or Mrs O, not Mr O or Miss T  for Council or Miss T for energy suppliers. Lady asked me if I could still see the joists when I said we had loft and walls done a couple of years ago. I was a bit sarcastic and said I couldn't see as I wasn't in the loft. Found it hard to get a word in edgewise. I said why are they calling me when neither myself or my partner are eligible for grants as we both work. Tried to tell her that we had enquired about a grant previously but were knocked back as not in receipt of benefits etc. She spoke over the top of me. Managed to ask where she got number from as we do not appreciate unsolicited calls. She said a database. Was trying to make sense of the call but she proceeded to just talk over the top of me so I just stopped talking and she burbled for another minute and then said ok, goodbye then hung up. Very confusing call. Couldn't get in the bit about me being registered with TPS as she was just talking a mile a minute. If this was a genuine call trying to help me get what I am entitled to, they need to have their operators a little less rambling and a little more crystal clear about what they are promoting.

    keep getting calls from this number many times a  day an absolute pest , so far no person on line just a load of background noise ten phone disconnects

    Got called by them (the second time I believe) asked for a Mr & Mrs Smith -told them wrong number. Answered with, 'Oh this is a Bedford number' so I asked who she expecting to call- got an address no even in Bedford- Told her no wrong house completely. Then got 'It'll only take a couple of minutes, I'm ringing with regards to loft and cavity wall insulation grants' (Oh yeah I think) told her no, we'd already been rung and told no then as well; we have a damp problem and not doing any insulation at the moment. Oh was the reply and hung up.
    Think it helped my voice has gone all husky so it's hard to tell if I'm a female or not on the phone- find it hubby answers he gets hung up on. Do they think females are more gullible??
    Next time they will get the threatening me.

    How I agree with sick of. I have just had the first call from these people despite the fact that I have more loft insulation than I know what to dfo with and had my cavity wall insulation done by...MARK GROUP last year. So where are this company buying the list from? Your energy supplier can tell you ALL you ant to know about insualtion and as they can't literally give it away at present and it's worth having, contact them. Neverthe less, you should NOT have to be bothered by disreputable companies using automated nuisance calls IF they have anything good and FREE to talk about. This is lazy marketing and annoying people unnecessarily. As someone else said, get a truecall machine and stop them calling and have a quite life. Thanks though to all who make a post here to set people's mind at rest.

    They have rung me three times, each time a "disconnected" tone (continuous) when I picked the phone up. Diualled 1471 to find out who these people were as I was getting fed up with these unanswered calls. All I got was music when I was put through. Looking at my phone bill I was on the line for 32 seconds and it cost me 24p so if you wait until the music finishes and someone finally answers then remember it's costing almost 50p a minute.

    Forget TPS, they were set up by the direct marketing people.  They are powerless to act without details from you and I understand that they pass all complaints to the organisation detailed below.
    You absolutely MUST report to the Information Commisioners Office at:

    www.ico.gov.uk

    The "gov" gives you the clue!  Fill in the report with the offender's name etc and they can then take action and impose a fine, but it does need people to report these pests first.

    They are calling me again, NOW! I have let it ring out something like 10 time already today. I rang them back from work twice, (it withholds the number so they cant ring back on it) and all I got was piped music! They keep ringing my mobile until it rings out and almost immediately phone me again! They are still at it - 20 times now? They have left to voicemails which I havent yet picked up - mainly cos the keep calling! Talk about persistance!
