My wife was contacted today about our "available grant" for loft insulation. I'm always suspicious about cold calls and my wife knows this :) So she asked them to call back when I was in. I did some digging around. The company is Nationwide Energy Services based in Swansea. I found this link to footage from ITV Wales http://www.itv.com/wales/swansea-jobs-boost38181/ They seem genuine enough but, as for their work, I can't comment because I haven't had a call since. If I do get a call, I'll update the progress here.

Got a call from this number calling themselves Nationwide Home Improvements. They then told me my address and said I was eligible for a government home improvement grant for loft insulation.
When I told them I wasn't interested, they hung up.
My phone number is registered with the TPS so I have complained to them. I urge anyone else registered with the TPS to do the same.

I got a call from these people and agreed to one of their surveys because it's convenient at the moment. Let's see what happens. Anyone else got any experience with them? It seems genuine or maybe I am getting gullible. Wish I'd seen this site before as I too am registered with TPS

Looking at http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/Home-impr ... Loft-insulation it seems to give some good guidance on reasonable prices etc. Having to pay 25% of something really high is still a rip off.

Third time today i have had a call from this number,as soon as you answer it cuts off. I am TPS registered,this is getting very annoying

Got a call from someone purporting to be from Wiltshire Council which said I was on the list for a loft insulation grant.

I told them i didn't need loft insulation as the house was built in 1998 and had adequate loft insulation of about 8 inches when I moved in.

They said I would be taken off their list.  I have caller display and I rang them back from another phone. It was answered by Nationwide Insulation Services.

Obviously cold calling for business, yet I am on TPS too.

Just had this guy wanting to sell me cavity insolation,my remarks back to him cannot be repeated,i hope he can sleep at night,i am not prepared to listen to his sales tactic's.

unable to get a word in edgeways with caller, she got to a level of attempting to send around to my house a surveyor on cavity wall and/or loft insulation and when I told her I didn't want this to happen and attempted to give my reasons she told me I was rude for attempting to speak and then gave me the web address of some totally anon company Just no need for hard sell techniques especially when the economic climate is difficult enough

Got a call from this number at 9pm this evening.  They confirmed my name and address, then hung up.  Reported to TPS by filling in the online complaints form.

keep getting missed calls - all this week a few times a day but they don't leave a message - if it's legitimate why don't they leave a message and then I can call them back?

*ring, ring*

*pick up phone*

caller: "...what about a bit of cleavage then (laughs)"

me: "excuse me"

i'm TPS with my telephone provider, its very rare these calls actually get through. Having said that, if this is the frontline, first contact with this company, it doesn't bode well for any level of professionalism.

My 80 year old father in law has received a number of call from this number asking him for personal details and details about his property. He is on TPS and has been so scared that the calls are from somenone trying to take his house off him he reported it to the police. I have now managed to ease his concernrs but who do we complain about this to? They shouldn't be allowed to get away with these unsolicitated calls when they frighten elderley people in this way.

Told me just now they were from Nationwide Energy Grant Commission offering insultation. I said "no thanks" and he asked "why?" I put the phone down. Have 1471'd this number a couple of times over the past few months but its obvious if it's 0845 (etc) they are trying to sell something. Whilst here, I keep getting calls about "Security sponsered by the Local Police Crime Protection" - Beware everyone! I've been on TPS for some years now, but somehow the calls just keep getting through!

Hassling me over Goverment Grants for insulation. I'm TPS registered and still being hassled.

I got the call from 08451113111 this evening and after some digging found this information for my complaint to TPS.

I just got a call from this number and on questioning was told that it was from Nationwide Ltd to tell me that I qualified for a grant and that they were not selling anything.  She kept stressing "Government Agency" and when I asked her to state whether Nationwide was actually a Goverment Agency, she said yes.  When I pushed for a name and more details she put the phone down!

Funniest thing you can do is answer yes to every question. You do not give out any information and they can get no further. It is hillarious to listen to their frustration and they just give up. This applies to any telemarketing calls. Do give it a try.

Told them I'm registered with TPS - not interested. Said info re government grants. Said I wanted it in writing as they quoted my address. He then said he was only trying to help and put the phone down on me.

TPS registered, called by them yesterday.  Complaint logged.  I live in Sth Wales, so I guess they are just working theor way through  the phone book

they called when I went to the phone no one there. Damn nuisance
