As with previous comments, this is the 2nd time in a couple of days that they have called and when answered the lines goes dead

I have been getting phone calls from this company 4 times a day for the past few weeks. It's a recorded message trying to sell you pipe insurance. As of this week i've had a man ring me daily telling me he's from Homeserve and want's us to take out pipe protection insurance, he knew both mine and my husbands names and say's he got our number from Thames Water. This morning i've had an answer phone message left saying the same as other people have said "please do not be alarmed" and so on.I have phoned Thames water and asked why my name and number has been given out to cold callers, they have said that Homeserve are not allowed to do cold calling to any of Thames water customers and they would be ringing Homeserve to discuss it. I have asked Thames water to remove me from their mailing list!

Receive numerous calls at all times of the day and night from this number. Only once has there been someone on the other end of the phone when i've answered. I don't appreciate having to keep getting up to the phone when noones there as i'm heavily pregnant!

Received call at 20.00 today. Did not answer as I have Caller ID machine. However, I object greatly to my evenings being interrupted in this way.Surely there must be a way of stopping these nuisance calls. I am quite capable of ringing them if I need their services!

Call received about 5 minutes ago.  We have one policy with Homeserve but the problem is you then get bombarded with more sales calls and mail !!

Called me today, then hung up when I answered.

I'm getting 2 calls an hour from these freaks... they are driving me nuts... From 9am til 8pm of a night.

I've just emailed Homeserve.

Have requested they remove my number from all their systems and cease to use it for marketing purposes.  

I am a current customer however also advised them that I will rapidly cease to be one if I receive 1 more silent call.

Silent call to TPS number

I have had loads of these calls over the last few weeks. Probably get 4 or 5 a day up to 8PM. As I don't answer phone calls but wait for people to leave messages and ring them back (as I can't be dealing with wasting my time speaking to morons who cold call), am rather perturbed that every single time they hang up and don't bother even leaving a message. I'm sure eventually they will stop so I shall just turn down the phone ringer volume.

Got more than 20 calls from this number. First it was from Anglia water. Then it was from Home something. I called them back and opt out my contact (exclude my contact from their mailing list or "the lead") and then the lady told me to call Experian at 0870-3661-660. I called them and chose number 1 to leave my contact to be excluded from their mailing list. Then they called me again and I just checked the number on my caller display and did not answer, and called them back later. I told them that I already talked to the lady and that she told me to call Experian to exclude my contacts from their mailing list. The guy started saying they do not have anything to do with Experian and started talking about Home something. I went more assertively and told him to exclude my contact from their list or opt me out from their "lead". He said he would do it immediately. See how it goes.

Had three calls so far today with no one at the other end...

Get this number calling frequently but as it is diverted to my mobile they then have to pay a mobile connection charge He He.

Got out the shower to answer this and it went click. Pathetic.

Always calling at all hours. Sometimes when i answer the phone they just hang up . Would like them to stop calling.

I had a missed call on my house number, then dialled 1471 to find out who it was, and the number was 08451-469372. As I didnt know who it was, I decided to google the number and found this Blogg. I have read a couple of comments here today and I think this calls for a legal action..How on earth did they (whoever this companies are) get my number to start with. THIS IS BREACH OF PRIVACY

Message left on our answering machine 18 Dec 2009, missed the first bit but it  continued ".. please do not be alarmed by this message but according to UK regulations we are required to notify you of our call in the form of a recorded message.  We will attempt to contact you again in the future.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you have been caused.   Our number is .. please feel free to call us if you have any queries.  Thank you for your time". WE ARE REGISTERED WITH TPS AND NOT IN ANGLIAN AREA.  RLW

ok here goes, just got a call from this number so googled it to see who it is from and found this. now after readin these i would like 2 help a few people here. firstly homeserve is calling to offer u insurance. now i used 2 work in a call centre n 1 of our clients was homeserve - so ur not always speaking to people who actually work for them!
also its ur water company/ electricity supplier who supplies ur details to this company obv where ur details comes from depends on the insurance they r sellin. but altho u may say thats not ur water co. or elecy supplier they cudve been years ago. 4 example. i live in scotland, im a british gas customer but its scottish power who own the 'grid' altho i pay british gas so they would say homeserve blah blah scottish power. also u may nolt b with a certain provider but they may have used their data from 1 area for another etc etc.
now tps isnt fool proof. this company that called u have got ur details through your water board or utilities company which u prob didnt write to them asking them not 2 sell on ur details to 3rd paries so by not doin this YOU have unknowinly consented to these calls. u know wen u always tick those annoyin little boxes to say u dont want ur details sold on, did u notice them wen u set up ur utilities?? nope didnt think so which leaves the company free to sell your details. yes - everything has a price n so does ur details.
now this next bit isnt to most people here but is a good bit of advice - everything isnt black n white. problems aint solved that easily. n if ur goin 2 moan about tps at least LOOK IN TO wot there company covers u against. they will cover u against unwanted callers - but NOT if uve consented to them - whether it was knowinly or unknowinly. its not their fault!!!
anyway rant over. hope ive helped some decent people out there understand a bit better n the rest should wake up n smell the coffee. n if ur wonderin, no i dont work in the callcentre n havent for a few years. thank god as it got annoyin having to personally explain this over n over again. you have the internet so other than checkin a number look up other stuff 2!! learn!!! enjoy!!

They're back at it again after a period without any nuisance calls from this number. This time phone rang for much longer than it normally does. Still didn't answer (It's a nuisance to have to screen calls by not answering but Virgin Media charge for caller ID)

These have been calling me and disconnecting regularly over the last few weeks.
I have complained to The Telephone Preference Service and hopefully it will now stop. The more that complain to TPS the better, they are capable of fining them.
