Calls all day every day even though I never answer it.

0845 1469372 called again today and promptly hung up.  We are a plumbing business and have a serious concern with Homeserve.  They offer extended warranties and appliance insurance for many of the larger Gas Boiler Manufacturers including Vaillant, Glowworm and others in the Vaillant Group etc.  

I suspect that many people who have posted on this list will have, at some point in the last 3 to 5 years, had a new gas boiler fitted which is now out of warranty.  Since all gas boilers fitted in that time should be notified to Buildings Control via GWN (Gas Work Notification) it is of some concern that these details seem to be finding their way to Homeserve.

For over a year now we have not passed any information on via warranty cards or otherwise, to the Manufacturers yet still our customers are being contacted in writing or by phone from Homeserve.  When authorised to follow up how they have obtained our client's details, they don't respond with proof, just a phone call to say they have a warranty form.  This, as I say, is impossible so now the matter is going to the ICO.

If you have had a boiler fitted in the last 5 years or so and have either NOT signed a warranty form or authorised 3rd parties to contact you (tick box etc) then please contact Homeserve in writing asking for written proof of where they obtained your details from.  If they don't provide it, talk to the ICO

You should be able to stop them contacting you and possibly help to stop them harrassing others in the future.

That's certainly true for me.  I had a new boiler from Vaillant @ 14 months ago.  Just had two calls from this number.

This number is constantly calling me from 9.00 am till 8.00 pm

phoning me about 6 times a day nobody there when i answer

Phone rang 3 times today, no one there each time so i realised it was 'one of those calls'.  It was as  others say Anglian on behalf of Northwest Water. I told them i wasnt interested but thanks for the call and put the phone down.  dont suppose that will stop them calling again, they are a real pain....

Had a women's voice saying 'not to worry' therefore making you think that its something important. A new splurge of calls breaking TPS

No one answered but background sounded like a public house atmosphere even though the number was 0845 1469372 when I did 1471 (strange!!)

Left msg on my answerphone very worrying but didnt call it back as thought it was probably a scam!! Thanks for all the other blogs was very helpful.

I've finally decided to address this issue - surprisingly these annoying prank calls of which I get at least 2 a day are not withheld and surprise surprise, I found this thread about Anglian Water/Homeserve when searching for the number

I've reported it to Ofcom, I'm not ringing them direct

This 0845 number actually left a message this morning when I was out, said 'recorded message.  the number is 0845 1469372. Sorry you are not in, we will try again in the future.

i now what you are going through steve ive had it to day and night if they want to talk to us why the hell dont they leave a message any normal person would just to let you now wot the hell they want is there anybody out there who can stop these people

This company first rang us several years ago saying they were ringing on behalf of Wessex Water.
We don't answer the phone anymore as they ring constantly. They are a complete pain !  Rang again five minutes ago.   As others have said they also ring from 01992 420057
