Had at least one no answer call a day for the last week. Phone companies need to protect us more.

This number has been calling us for the last 3 or 4 days about 4 times a day and immediately hanging up. Really annoying.

this company called me 4 times today - on the fourth call i answered (after reading this blog)
i just answered "yeah?"
they asked me for "mr or mrs x"
i said "no this is mrs y"
they said "oh i think i have the wrong number, are you the home owner?"
i said "yes"
then he went on to say about drains/pipes etc......
i said "you are wasting my time and yours"
he said "why? i am only doing my job"
i said "cos my hubby is a plumber" (he isn't btw)
he said "it must cost you a fortune etc... in expenses and VAT!"
i replied "he enjoys doing these jobs around the house and yes we don't give a "F" please do not call this number again"
he said "i'm very sorry to have bothered you, have a nice day"

you can either ignore the phone like i did but after four calls i decided to answer - all you gotta say is either YOU are a plumber or your other half is!!! he/she won't have a job for long!!! (not a cold call centre one anyways)

Keeps calling - never leave a message. On occasions I have answered it they just hang up!
Can't wait to catch them..

Then walk away back to the tv and see how long it takes for them to hang up...

every day this week, 3 times a day friday, this number calls. when i say "ello....?" no one answers, line goes dead. this is annoying! gets me ag!

This number 0845 1469372 calls and when I answer it hangs up.

On one occasion out of about 20 some guy from Homeserve asks me to take out cover for my drains.I ask him if he would buy anything from someone who calls and then hangs up on him day and night, with that he hung up on me.

This mob call my house a couple of times a day. Most times they hang up when I answer. What's the point of that? i have difficulty walking and sometimes struggle to get to the phone. I can't describe how annoying this is to have a nuisance caller... they should be made to stop. Next time i pass their offices I will go in and see them or send a sh*t to them by 1st class post.

They called our business again today - but this time, the autodialer couldn't connect an operator so I was hung up on.

Decided to give them a call back - after a minute, spoke to a very friendly, helpful operator who explained that they did have a reference to our address and number on their outbound system (for telesales) but there was no record on their inbound system.

I simply gave them the first line of our address, our postcode and the business name and she set up an account which she then immediately cancelled off the system (in order that all references to our number were deleted from the telesales list).

I can't fault the rep, she was helpful and friendly. If you're receiving these calls I suggest you just take the 6p hit, give them a call and do the same. You don't need to hand over any personal info whatsoever, just be polite :)
