Just had a call from them.  They knew my name and offered my insurance on my Thames Water account.

These [***] have been calling me at least 3 times a day for the past week, always at the most inconvenient times: as meals are served, during favourite TV programmes, late in the evening as we're going to bed etc. Mostly they don't speak, but I heard an Indian sounding voice once and slammed the receiver down hard; I will NOT talk to these nobodies from Asian Call Centres whose command of functional English is negligible. If I call anyone and get one of these I insist on speaking to someone English and if they give me a load of rubbish I hang up.

Today I lifted the phone and said "This is a TPS line. Get off NOW and don't call again or I'll call the Police." An Indian-sounding voice started to jabber so I blew a whistle, hard, down the phone. That usually stops any repeat calls!

Got a call from this number a few times today, and over the last week. Answered and got phone was hung up....

People from this number have been calling my home phone number trying to push for us to buy insurance, but even after categorical refusal, they have not stopped their nonsense and continue to cold call.

I got a voicemail from them saying "by law we have to tell you we cannot reach you" and then leave thier number.  But they never said who they were!

It's bizzare and a complete waste of time!!

Unwanted call today, no message left. Fed up with these calls.

Got a call today from this number. Claiming he was from Severn Trent Water. Trying to sell me water pipe cover for £1.00. Amazing!!! Tried to claim he was from Homeserve. Asked for bank details to set up  payment. I asked him for his details. He hung up.

Keep getting calls with no-one there - around 4 today.  When I answer, the line just goes blank.

08451 469372 called today, but the line went dead when i answered it!  
I though this annoying practice had been stopped.

Got a call from this number yesterday. Trying to sell water pipe insurance. Told them not interested. Called back about 2 hours later, but didn't answer (Thank god for caller display!) Checked messages and had a rather worrying recorded message stating "Do not be alarmed by this call...." message continued with some crap about them having to leave this message in a recorded form because of Government guidelines. The number they leave for calling back is different from the number they actually call from. Any message that starts with "Don't be alarmed by this call" should be illegal. Anyone know who to contact to stop these a***holes?

Seems to me they are at it again as there have been no reports on here since Nov 2009 ..... first call received today with voice message about not being alarmed etc! Googled it first!

Sorry computer up the creek not showing the full list. I can now see they have been calling almost continuously for months / years. Don't they ever learn? I already have a comprehensive package with Homeserve but I will be ditching it on renewal and finding another supplier if this is the way they run their marketing.

That made me wary, how can they profitably offer 12 months insurance for £1.. so I declined to go any further and told them I wasn't interested.. It will be interesting now to see if they continue with further calls !

Have been getting these calls every day for the last (2) two weeks, they call at least (5)five times a day. Huh!  DO NOT BE ALARMED! With as many calls anyone would be,what happened to my own DATA protection?

Get these [***] back for harrassing you.  Do a google search on 08451469372 and homeserve.  At the top of the page, you'll see a sponsored link homeserve.  click on this - go back - click again - go back - click again - go back - you get the idea.  every time you click it costs them about a £1 on google adwords.  make sure it's the sponsored link you're clicking.

hopefully they'll get a £100k adwords bill and have to sack all the call staff who are pi**ing people off
