i got a call from this number and noone spoke then they put it down after 30 seconds, does anyone know who it is?

Just received phone call from this number - apparently i've won a competition ( i do enter alot of them ) and have won a prize. The man i spoke to said the details were in the mail already and that as well as winning a prize i've also won a free energy quote. He then asked if i was the bill payer etc of the house.   Scam?

This is apparently an automated service from EON!

I have just spoken to the complaints department of EON on 0845 300 6301 (http://www.eonenergy.com/At-Home/Contact/Complaint/?WT.svl=4) & they no nothing about it.

Their complaints manager is going to look into the number & get back to me on Monday.

This looks more & more like a scam.

This number 08451550228, just called me and asked for "Julie Watson" (on my BT mobile) when I said that I had never heard of her - they hung up!

is there no way we can stop this, its been doing it to me for the past week or so and when i rang to cdx they rang back after the weekend :S

As per all of you, i to have experienced the annoying calls from this number and when answered they hang up. There must be someone out there who can put a stop to these nuisance calls and further more where do they get our numbers from in the 1st place. Big fines should be handed down to companies who pass our personal info onto 3rd companies without our consent.....As a last resort i am looking to change not only my mobile but landline number too.
Furthermore I am receiving calls from 08453007027 which apparently belongs to Barclays Bank......funny that i don't even have an account with them.

I have also had EON calling before and always ask them to remove my details saying I never buy from a cold caller. They have also knocked on my door, asked for me by name?! whic is interesting as I have never used the company. Trust me, I don't care how cheap they may be, i will not use a company that uses such tactics, nothing short of harrasment!

Get frequent daily calls from this number on my mobile, but i never answer calls where I dont know the number or am not expecting a call. Sick to death of them they are SUCH a pain

Got a missed call from this number. Will definitely not answer it next time having read these replies!

called me twice yesterday glad I did not anser after reading these comments

they told me they were from eon and i had won a thousand pounds or an i phone

Yeah they rang me too, asked for me (using my full name) then hung up. I did enter a competition on the myoffers or whatever it is called, and got an email from them (although I don't believe it was them, the email address was a really random one, not one you would expect from such a big company) saying thanks for your interest in eon someone will contact you soon. To which I clicked unsubscribe, but just looked on my phone to find a missed call of them. Oh the joys...

Rang me first on 31/08/10 and again today. Asked for a bill-payer and told me they were from e-on, apparently I entered some competition (I NEVER DID!!!) and won a free comparison quote. Asked me to confirm my address details-they bloody wish! If I won something because I enterd some competition myself, they they should have my details and full name anyway! The number's on my reject list now!

keeps calling at least 6 times a day, when answered no one answers and then the phone goes dead.

They have rang me 3 times today. I answered it to say stop ringing and cut them off then they rang me up again straight away. Not sure how to put them on my reject list because i have a new phone

every day this week i  have been called by this number, i just dont answer it

This number has started calling me today -twice. This is hot on the heels of another number 0141 5676202 which is apparently SCOTTISH POWER telling me I won a competition - I told him to f**k off and hopefully he got the message but today I have these ar*seh*les starting. I haven't answered the phone yet but I think I will tomorrow and give them the same treatment - what else can you do?
