We have had numerous calls from this number with no one at the otrher end speaking to us.

I have been receiving calls from the number given for about two weeks now. The first time I picked it up, my phone turned itself off. It turned out to be fine but it still worried me for a while. I am not an adult and this is my first experience of this sort of thing. It isn't that I'm scared I am simply annoyed.

called me today and when i answered said nothing

Have been calling me twice a day for the last couple of days, asking for my OH. I've asked them who is calling and it's EON. I respond with I'll just get them for you, and then I just leave the phone, making them hang up when there bored of waiting.

They are now on my refuse caller list, the interesting thing is, when I did refuse the last number dialled it was 01142812610

they rang my partners number asking for me and said it was to do with energy . i have no idea how they got my name and number and id like them to stop ringing .

I had a call from 08451550228 today, my partner answered the call, and after asking who it was, she was told that I had won a competition that I had 'apparently' entered recently????  
Has anyone else had the same call?

last time i gave them abuse a pitman would cringe at ..that stopped them for 4 days
now they are starting again

i kept getting phone calls from this number sayin i had won a competition. So i hung up and rung back the automaited machine asked me to type in the number i wish to be blocked from the callers list. doesnt say who it is ect

It is Eon. You call them back and you get the automated voice message saying it is. To stop them bothering you though, the voice message says you need to give your name, address and tel number. Why my address? So then they have your details.... What a con.
Great idea by Eon. Even if I was considering changing companies, it would not be to them now.

Third day running with this number and every one cuts out when i speak!

these people rang me every day but hung up when i answered or left blank voicemails. they have even contacted my parents on their landline phone trying to reach me!! i rang and left a message on the answer machine to cancel the calls

oh no, just realised i gave my name address out to! ffs feel very foolish now

I had the same from this number.  I now have a fantastic app on my blackberry which blocks individual text messages, emails and phone calls.  So once I get the number come up, I can then mark it as spam and it will always receive the 'busy' tone from there on in :)

Called me and hung up before I had time to answer.

this number keeps ringing me

Called their complains department on 0845 300 6301 who were actually very helpful (I am registered with the TPS) and immediately realised the crime that had been committed both in the illegal contacting of a TPS registered numbers as well as illegal use of a dialler to bulk call more destinations than agents they have free.  They actually suggested I report the crime to the TPS as well as them internally going through a disciplinary procedure, which they obviously can not give me details of.

Long and short that means telesales manager will get fired and the agent will be fined £2k which will then be able to be passed back to the company for failure to protect their employee.

Not a bad 30 minutes work :)
