I just got a call. Asked me if I was interested in some new windows. I said yes please that would be great. They are sending someone round tomorrow.I can't wait until they see that I live in an 18th century listed building. well if they are gonna waste my time......

This number constantly calls the home number which is ex-directory,when the phone is answered they hang up-no-one ever speaks when we do answer their calls,now they have started calling my mobile number that is not given out. How do we stop these people?????

Said his name was "Daniel" and he was calling from a "local company" about a proposed TV promotion for....at that point I told him I was with the TPS, he said it "wasn't a cold call" and I hung up.

I took a call on 28/3 also on TPS, asking me what type of windows, doors I had etc, I didn't tell him the truth as I knew it was a ruse to get info off me, I have reported the no on the TPS site

When I put this number into my browser it comes up as FEDEX, baffling as it is some .

Dpn't see how  this scam works, as some of the above complaints state they are calling on behalf of various firms.

This number rang, hung up as I answered. I phoned it back and got message saying I had been called by Weatherseal, added them to my blocked list. I'm ex dir and TPS

Yes they sell your information on to these people who call you ! thats where companies like Gumtree make thier money.

just a single ring

have been repeatedly getting calls from this number at the same time every week (or second week). pick up the phone and its silent so then usually just hang up after a few 'hello's but today i listened for a bit, after a few seconds background noises came in and i said 'hello' this was followed by 'hello, is this *my name*?' i was quite worried by this as i am only in my teens and dont own any of the house, eg. gas, electricity, phone or bank accounts. once i replied yes they hung up but left a long, loud buzzing noise before the call was ended. dont know who they are, and dont know how they got my number or infact my name but i want them shut down!

I invested in a cheap, very loud whistle. One blast down the phone and silent callers never repeat the experience

I am also TPS registered and contacted them today.  The only thing TPS can do is sent out a complaints form for you to fill in, they'll investigate. Once they analyse it, the company gets fined.  Judging by the amount of notes here i woulld say a hefty fine will be sent to the company.  I recommend asking for a complaint form and watch them go down

I don't see the point in the whistle!! If you got silence then the connection hasn't been made so nobody will hear you.  I got a call from this number and a very polite man asked to speak to the homeowner.  When I told him it was council property he apologised and said he would remove my number from the list.  I wish all cold calling operators were as polite as this person.  No point in complaining if you're ex directory or TPS - if you put your phone number into anything you buy online etc then it's guaranteed to be sold on.

I received "another" call from this number- I didn't answer.

I did ring back after checking here because I am ex-directory and do NOT give out my number except to family, close friends and only the minimum of organisations who require it (utilities, banks etc) and ALWAYS write (ex-directory- do not distribute) or something to that effect), so was a bit curious if it really was a cold-caller.  Surely not...

But yes- Weather Seal.

Interestingly they kept me on the line with a message which went VERY quiet JUST at the interesting part about how to remove your number from their "list" (enter number, including code)...  I have good hearing fortunately and was able to request that they remove it by entering the number (against the grain, but hey- if it works?) and then noting the procedure to have it removed (press 1).  Done!  They claim to remove within 7 days.  Heh.

After telling them 7 times we are listed with TPS they still call, they also said they would take us off there calling list but never have, so I have now complained about there calls via TPS The best  way to get rid of them is tell them your  a council tenant and they ask you if your looking to buy your council house. Then you tell them not in this area its really rough. Hopefully after that they will stop calling you.

Got a call from this number at mid-day today (Sunday), despite being registered with TPS.  A search reveals that it is from WeatherSeal - if you want to call them back free use  0800 041041

Received a call from this number, asking to speak to the home owner. When I asked who was calling they were evasive, giving the name 'Daniel'. When I asked for the company name I was told it was 'Future Homes'. I was polite but advised that I did not want to my number to be called again. 'Daniel' very rudely and abruptly hung up on me while I was mid-sentence. I dialled 1471 and called the number. It turns out it was actually Weatherseal. Rude liars!
