Just had a letter back from the Information Commissioner Office, they are passing details of Weatherseal complaints to their "Regulatory Action Division". The more complaints they have the more chance something will actually happen especially after the Weatherseal undertaking to stop such calls in 2008. Please complain to the ICO www.ico.gov.uk to get this firm off all our backs. To get more details, search for weatherseal on the ICO site.

When I got a call from this number I phoned back and got an automated service telling me Weatherseal had called me and instructed me to enter my area code and phone number and my phone would be removed from their database.  When I did this my phone number was repeated back to me and I verified it as being correct.

Since then I have been phoned another twice that I know of.  This crowd of chanty rasslers have already been fined for this

Called 1914 tonight. Asked for homeowner and offered free kitchen in exchange for knowing how old mine is. I said I wasn't interested. My 3yo son asked who was calling, so I told him 'its a nice lady asking if we want a kitchen. Can you tell her we already have one?'. Rather rudely she hung up on him.

Thse jokers called again, I think its linked to British Gas as I have had similar calls, I was asked if I was the home ownwer, I explained I was a burglar and had just entered property via a back window and could they be quick as the computer I was about to steal was not wirless and was connected to this phone and I needed to unplug it.... They hung up ;-)

Called a few minutes ago by this same number, but they almost immediately hung up as soon as I answered. I only heard a beep. I tried to phone back but was met with a pre-recorded message saying: "You were called today by Weatherseal(!? something like that). Sorry we missed you, and we will try to call you again another time...".

So I check up on "Weatherseal" and discover it's a company which sells double glazing. However, the number by which I was called isn't the number their website offers for sales appointments or customer service. So what in the heck is going on here? I have no idea if our number is registered with tps (this is my parents house). I just want to know why, in the past, someone else was told the company was called "Supreme Marketing"? And why they have so many different numbers?? Hmm.

this mumber is weatherseal trying to sell you windows... told i'd love new windows and to contact the council!!! call them back and you can leave your number and they wont contact you again.

Just got a call from them - is Weatherseal, did the 1471 and went through the above procedure so wait and see if they do remove my number from list or call again - this is febuary 14th, valentines day, a sunday, and at 11.45. WTF?!

this number just phoned me and offered me a free brand new kitchen but when i said i lived in a council house he went quiet before hanging up on me.

is all part of the latium group owned by the scumbag who owns sale sharks rugby club,brian kennedy he owns space kitchens and lots of different double glazing companies,they prey on innocent and especially vunerable people,i know i worked for them,they employ high pressure selling tactics,there favoured one is the selling circle its such a con never trust anything these people claim,its all about geting money off you

no one speaking at the other end. i waited and waited for someone to speak. after about 10 seconds i hung up.

What's wrong with having a chat with someone who is only doing their job? This firm is open about their telephone number as it shows on caller ID. It follows that they must be a genuine seller and not one of the [***] businesses that withhold their number. Go on, give the agent a chance and politely refuse their offer if it does not suit you. It cost you nothing and if you have had time to read all of this you obviously have nothing better to do.

When I worked in a call centre, not on the phones I hasten to add, we were concerned about making calls to TPS numbers as we could have incurred a fine, £4,000 springs to mind.  If everyone reports Weatherseal to TPS maybe something could be done.  Also with calls coming via a dialler there is a legal limit to how long a call waits to be delivered to an operator and how many times a delayed call happens and again I belive there is a penalty fee system in place.

Damn!   Weatherseal are harassing us again, despite us being on the TPS!   They now call themselves "Weatherseal Fire and Security".  

I don't know if anything can be done about them - they have had prosecutions taken out against them in the past for calling TPS numbers, when they were a double glazing company.   I can only imagine that they don't care about being prosecuted, because they just go bust, and legally reconstitute themselves as another company.  

In any case, do not buy a thing from this company!   They have a reputation for charging three times the market rate, and targeting vulnerable pensioners.   Also, check out their telemarketers (mostly teenagers) group on Facebook - it gives an interesting insight into what they think of the people they call.
