I had a call from this number and was asked if I was the homeowner. I confirmed I was. He proceeded to tell me I had qualified for windows and doors. I told him he was wasting his time. He was persistant asking many questions. Eventually, he gave up and hung up. 2 beeps and hung up.

Another call from them yesterday evening. Another for my log to report to the ICO. I only hope there is a large fine. (TPS registered and Exdir for many yesrs).
This time Weatherseal called themselves SK Designs. See my earlier posting of 31 October.

This number called and hung up. I phoned it back and it was weatherseal.

Just got one of several calls from this number and as with many other ppl on here, I'm ex directory and with TPS. I also have call barring on withheld numbers to try to prevent these unsolicited calls. I've heard that calling them back and asking to have your number removed from their list doesnt do any good so I registered a complaint on ico.gov.uk

just got another call from them (see last post above). This time actually got to speak to someone and I told him I was with TPS, said he'd remove my name from the list but I shall wait and see.

This is WEATHERSEAL - they've been pestering me for months - am TPS registered and ex-dir - if you call back have link so you can remove your number from calling list- yeah right have done so - makes no difference. Have reported to TPS - suggest others do the same. Company is supposed to ensure they don't call if you're TPS registered - like many other companies they don't bother or care. Sent email saying am having windows/doors done by REPUTABLE company that doesn't use their tactics. Will try ICO too.

Guess what? Feature Homes = Weatherseal = Feature Homes!!! No surprises there. Bunch of b--------! What kind of people work for these b----- companies? How do they sleep at night? If anone deserves to be unemployed preferably asap and better still Xmas Eve it's anyone and everyone who works for these kind of compnies. Scum.

I've looked at ICO website - Weatherseal are serial offenders - see 'Weatherseal Undertaking' 30/08/07 and Enforcement Notice against Weatherseal 30/06/08. Much good they seem to have done but have still complained more in hope than expectation. What's needed is to hit them where it hurts - a substantial fine that makes a significant dent in their profits and upsets their shareholders. So do still keep complaining to ICO - it took nomerous complaints to get them to act before.

Just had a hang up call from this number tonight (11 Nov 2009 1915).  Really hacked off as was putting my sons to bed - one is 2yrs, the other 2mths so hectic enough as it is without these calls!!

Interesting that people are saying it's Weatherseal - it would appear then that they are harrassing people using different numbers as I registered a nuisance call on here from them less than a month ago, but on a different premium rate number.

Shocking that they can get away with it, but seems like not much can be done.

And it doesn't matter if you're Ex-Directory or TPS registered, they can still get hold of your number for cold calling.  They buy lists of numbers or use computers to generate the numbers.  My mum is both XD and TPS registered but still gets sales calls.

You're better off getting caller ID and just ignoring the calls or, if you answer and they speak, tell them to hold on and just leave the phone hanging....

They keep calling me and when I answer they don't say anything but terminate the call. If it continues I will raise an official complaint.

This operation does not work with TPS their computer program calls 1000s of permutations of numbers and when a ringer is detected and it’s answered (or listed as a positive return) it is then added to a database of "live" phone numbers that’s how it gets round the TPS system.
So you will be inundated with more calls from this Number. All u can do is report it to TPS and/or complain to you Phone provider.

Just rang 5 mins ago i will not answer any 0845 numbers as they will not be from anyone i know or would want to know.

Got a call from this number 5 minutes ago. Picked it up and it was silent. I've been ex-directory and TPS registered for years. I'm fuming that this stuff is still going on unabated.

this is the seventh call I have had from this number 08452639001 and the call ends when I answer.
Very annoying.

This number called just now but hung up when i answered. FYI being ex directory simply means you are not listed in the phone book. TPS is (as far as i remember) voluntary for tellemarketing companies to adhere to. They have your number because you forgot to tick or untick the box when filling in an application of some kind online or by mail - that said you do not want to be contacted for marketing purposes. If you do this you are basicaly giving then cart blance to sell your number to any marketing company they like. ( i apologise for any spelling mistakes)

The TPS list is compiled under OFCOM's obligations in terms of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regs. Weatherseal are breaking the law.

Called tonight, gentleman with an Irish accent in a noisy room.

Asked to speak to the home owner.  Asked why he would wish to do that.  Told me my postcode had qualified for doors and windows and roof line stuff.  I told him the house already had those things.  He clarified that they qualified for replacement.  I asked him if he thought there was something wrong with them.  Said he didn't know, but if they were over a certain age they qualified for replacement (he might have said "free" at this point).  I asked how old they needed to be, he said "10".  I told him they were not as old as 10.  He said "surprise surprise, bye bye then" and hung up.

I missed the opportunity to ask him what "postcode" he had, and to comment that my postcode is one in in the middle of around 1000 houses none of which is older than 10 years old.
