- DarrenJust had a call from this number but as soon as it was answered they put the phone down for which I find extremely Rude. We are registered with TPS. I personally didn't take the call but if I did these low life people would of got a Mouthfull; they will now be reported.
- Mark Scottdon't tell them anything - it is linked to organised crime in india, nigeria, russia etc - ultimately they want your
bank details
never speak to anyone who calls u up unless u asked them to call or u know them - legitimate companies will call a mobile- Caller: Populous etc etc etc

- Sunday replies to DrewFed up with these calls - I'm ex directory and registered with the TPS, and when asked where they got my number from they told me that the numbers were generated and picked at random! The giggling Indian man asked me if I or any of my family worked in any of his list of professions before continuing with a survey for advertising in adult magazines to do with the transgender community, so I didn't continue and promptly terminated the call. My husband had told them not to call us before so I've reported them to the www.ico.gov.uk as a scam survey company and continuing to call me despite clearly telling them not to.
- Alexander ShandAt 2.51 p.m. on 25 March 2013 I was called from 08453130337 by a man purporting to be from Royal Bank of Scotland. He asked for my wife, who was not available.
When I checked the callers number and called back it was a recorded message stating that the number I had dialled was Populous Market Research.
My number is ex-directory and neither my wife nor myself give permission for companies to call unless we have a specific reason for doing so. We have never asked or authorised calls from Populous Market Research.
I subscribe to the Telephone Preference Service, but as it is market research they are unable to take action.- Caller: Populous Market Research

- Eddiegot call at 1830 from this number answered and clicked off
- Common Sense| 2 replies1. TPS only applies to sales and marketing. You should have read this when you signed up.
2. If you don't want to be called again, ask to be put on the Do Not Call list.
3. If you don't want to be called again, definitely don't say they can call back later because obviously they will!
4. Being rude just makes you look like a fool and won't stop them calling you; see 2 and 3.
5. What would be the point of organisations paying for the research if they were going to do nothing with the results? Market research does have a purpose and there are actually people who realise this and are happy to participate when they're free.- Call type: Survey
- Hacked OffJust got a call today and they put the phone down. Any cold call from now on will be met with a barrage of expletives as I am on the TPS and they should not be ringing, period.

- DavidCalled today at 4.30pm. I didnt answer it and no message - I checked here first for unknown numbers. The sooner a reject call app is available for iPhone the better. I have one on my PAYG spare Blackberry and it works great.
- David08453130337 Think I have orked this one out, it is a Scam. Called the number back and says I was called by Populous. I dont beleive it is, this is to get you to believe it is Populous when it is actually a different incoming call, like a sales call or a bank or overdue cc call, debt line or similar trawling for information. [***]... Hate these people.
- Caller: Populus
- GPJust got a call from this number - I don't even live in the UK! Rejected the call and googled to find this thread. At least now I know who I'm ignoring.
- Saints 760845 313 0337 rang me on my mobile today @ 16.37. An Indian lady she was doing market research from Populas & that their computer had generated my number at random.
I told her that we belonged to TPS but she rudely spoke over me!
Have reported to TPS.
I have recently been on insurance comparison websites, which always seem to generate unwanted phonecalls from 3rd party companies!- Caller: Populas

- OgriThis number called me today, Sunday morning at 10.30am. The number has called me once before and I just swore at them. It called me back and swore at me. I shall track this number down and Hack their systems, plant a virus and destroy them!
- tinaWoman rang from this number, asking if she could conduct a survey about 'a wide range of issues'. I asked could she give me an example, but she said no - not unless I agreed to the survey - laughable response! I said I was busy, she asked if she could call back. I said maybe another evening but they dont give up i still keep getting calls from this number.

- Chris CockingNuisance continuous weekend calls.
- Paul SeckingtonI don't know who this is - and I never (ever) answer calls from unidentified numbers, and certainly don't ring back. But my mobile is TPS-listed for NO unsolicited calls.
- Caller: Don't know, I didn't answer
- ZThey rang twice today. First time asking about a survey (Mamood was his name?) then i declined. They rang back a couple hours later. Let it go to voicemail.

- Basty NastardGot a recent call from this number claiming to be populus limited conducing a market research survey.
I informed them that I am am a member of the TPS & that I do not take part in ANY cold calling either at my door or via phone.
I then asked them where they got my number & they politely said that it might have been on a list via Tesco Pet Insurance (& coincidentally I had recently made an quote enquiry to Tesco).
It would appear that Tesco Pet Insurance have passed my number on to a third party without my authority?.
Still,every little helps,
Thanks Tesco.
I will be making an official complaint to the Information Commissioners Office (I.C.O.) on 08456 306060 or 01625 545745- Caller: populus
