A complete nuisance especially at the weekend when peace and privacy matters most

Just got a call from this number and I immedetially asked how they got this number and made clear that I don't appreciate calls of this manner at 8pm.  The woman said it wasn't a sales call and hung up.

Being unlisted never meant anything.  Never stops anyone dialling a number.  I don't know you but if I randomly call a number (after all it's only a given set of digits) there's a chance I could end up calling your number.

We always got wrong numbers coming through even 20, 30, 40 years ago!

I do NOT wish to take part in any of your surveys.
I am fed upo with companies cold calling me just for a survey, I have done all I can to stop these people interrupting my life.

You so work for them,just admit it. Honesty is the best policy.

Populous have just rang and it is 5pm on a Sunday. Wanted me to take part in a survey. I said I wished these survey companies would stop ringing as I am registered with TPS. Got a stroppy response that calls to TPS numbers are allowed for market research purposes and they do work Sundays. Surely if I am registered with TPS it implies I don't want to be disturbed by any of these pests whatever the purpose of their call.

Unfortunately, Market Research calls are specifically excluded from TPS rules.  TPS only covers live (person on the other end of the 'phone) UK sales calls.  The trouble with Market Research calls is that the researchers are trained to keep 'phoning until someone answers as they think we would be upset if we did not get the chance to give our views!  In addition different groups of reaearchers do different surveys, so even if you ask one person to remove you from their list it does not stop other reasearchers doing other surveys from ringing you.  Now the good news!  The simple way to stop the calls is to go to the Populous website and use the "Contact Us" facility.  Tell them to remove your data from ALL their data bases for ALL their compasnies.  This works with all reputable UK based Masrket Research companies.  I did it for every different company which rang and no longer get MR calls.  Unfortunately it doesn't work for the fake surveys from overseas scammers which are really data mining exercises.

Called at 8.30pm. This is too late.

Up until Jan 2013 I was plagued by unwanted calls. On the worst day I had about 20 cold calls. It came to the point that I disconnected the phone and would not give my landline number out. I decided to take some action so fitted a trucall unit as seen on on dragons den.Having set it up correctly and logged into their Web site to further refine its use, I have not had a cold call or survey get through to my phone.
They still try to get through as I check my call list regularly to check how sucessful it is, but none get through. I also have the same sort of feature on my mobile.TPS is a waste of time. BT call interception is expensive. The only way to stop it is to do what I have done, bite the bullet and fit something similar

Just saying as they are a market research company they are exempt from ex-directory and tps guidelines etc, but if you ask them to take your number of their list then they wont ring up again.

Had phone calls every day for 12 days now. Answered first four and they put the phone straight down. Now just leave it to ring off. Very annoying.

just read some of the comments about this number and it seems like  the callers dont know who they seem to work for!!! My wife received a call from them on her mobile  !!! If i get my hands on these
low lifes, they will have to go to the hospital to get their Phones back...

I am unlisted, don't give out my no etc but the phone companies sell it which is why you get these calls even tho you're registered with TPS. My 12 yr old son gets calls on his mobile about writing off debts!

Rang my mobile.  Hung up shortly after I answered although I could here a bit of "call centre" noise in the background before they hung up.  Tossers.

This is strange as the phone at my house has been disconnected for many years, I connected the phone for internet access but these guys rang, the number doesn't even exist on anyone's list (i still don't know what telephone no. I have as I use mobile, so I haven't given the phone no. to anyone). Random/war dialer?

this number keeps ringing - but I have better things to do than completeing surveys
please survey companies - give up - even those who complete them aren't giving genyuine answers - period
