Its Lloyds click safe, and it just saved my bacon in fact! Just called Lloyds and they confirmed that someone had tried to buy stuff from Currys worth £499 and £479 but 3D Secure stopped them.

I recommend calling Lloyds fruad team and mentioning click safe calling.

I had 3 missed calls from this number today and looked up the number and found this thread.  After calling Lloyds main number I was put through to their fraud team and the number is genuine - someone in Germany had been trying to use my card online and Lloyds stopped the payment.  Card stopped and new one on its way - thank you Lloyds!

Its genuine. I called Lloyds fraud dept. on a number I had myself, and they had just stopped a fraudulent payment to Currys for 300 quid, and 3 x online video payments on my card. Its now cancelled and new one on its way.

this IS from Lloyds TSB - we had the call today, and found that Eurobet had tried to take £135 from the card..

The number is relatively new for the fraud team, and not all parts of Lloyds are aware of it.. they are going to try and rectify this lack of knowledge

Yes I can confirm it's genuine too.  In my case I tried to make a large value transaction and Lloyds automatically prevented payment in order to keep my cash safe.

If anyone is ever worried, just call the main Lloyds TSB number (available on the website) and tell them about your message.  They will assist you with whatever has happened.

I phoned Lloyds on their main number instead of giving any details to the recording on this number. Without even asking for the number they said it would be a scam and there was no issue with my account. Lloyds are pretty good, someone got hold of my credit card details before christmas but their first attempt was blocked.

This number IS genuine for the LloydsTSB debit card farud unit.  I called it back and spoke to somebody about some attempted fraud using my card.  I was able to completely satisfy myself that I was talking to somebody genuine becaus I asked them lots of details about recent transactions, other accounts and my overdraft limit that only somebody with complete accessto my account would have.  They said that my card would be cancelled.

To double check, I rang the number on the back of my card to confirm that the card had indeed been cancelled

Got automated phone message from this number, saying my name and asking me to call back - to do with fraud?  But I wasn't convinced, especially as it is all automated and they wanted d.o.b. details.

SO - am on the phone to lloyds tsb now - it is a LEGITIMATE number - but the man I am speaking with had to check and double check... on hold to fraud department now as there was something untoward that needs checking??!!!

Please call them direct if you are unsure at all on their standard banking number 0845 3 000 000 rather than return the call to this (0845 3510192)

After a stroke I have aphasia and cannot use the telephone - my line is now only used for my broadband.  Although I don't answer I have noticed this number has called all through Good Friday and has now begun to pester me today: Saturday 14th April '12 .  I went to see my local Lloyds-TSB manager and the bank is aware that I have aphasia and have been given an email address to use and if necessary requested to write my branch if I can't make it in person.

I have had these calls purporting to be from Lloyds-TSB but my bank card is working without problems.

I've just received an email from Lloyds-TSB Internet Banking and they don't have any record of that number belonging to them. I was told to disregard anyone from that number as they are bogus.

I called LloydsTSB directly rather than the number. Very helpful lady at the other end tried the number for me, and wasn't sure if it was really anything to do with them.

However, she then checked with another department and it turns out IT IS GENUINE, it is from the online credit and debit card payments department.

It seems I had tried to make an online purchase but on one attempt had put in the wrong expiry date, thus throwing up a red flag (this would be the fraud connection mentioned above).

Anyway, if you're ever in any doubt I would suggest calling Lloyds directly. If it's genuine they'll know, if it's not they'll need to know.
