this is a scam beware

I had a text last night and a call this morning at 8 am in relation to a payment to Capitol one for £540.79 from my lloyds card.
I don't have a lloyds card - In fact I've never banked with lloyds in my entire life!!!!!

Could be an attempt at identity fraud. Inform action fraud and your bank with immediate effect.

You are FAKE TAM.

This is a SCAM beware. I just received this message on my house phone saying to contact them immediately on that number. I phoned my bank to make sure as the voice automated message said someone was trying to use my account on online shopping. I asked them and they said they had not contacted me so it was a scam. People saying this is not a scam should be ashamed of yourselves its disgusting that this is allowed to happen!!!

This is a real Lloyds number , if you get call from this number i suggest you call them , i did and it saved me £738 , some one used my card at Sainsbury

Definitely genuine number. If you are worried phone the number on the back of your card first but this number is 100% Lloyd's Fraud Team.

Came back from holiday with 17 of these prerecorded messages, stating my husbands card was being fraudulently used online. They requested we pressed any key to answer security questions. We did not respond.

Legitimate number, missed first call, checked here and then they called again. Lloyds checking online card usage. Normally use paypal, tried to pay with card input, and the bank blocked the payment. Call to confirm.

You can't trust any post that says "Yes", so contact your bank on number from your card or statement, better still, go speak to them in-branch. Note names and times, too!

GENUINE  - someone tried talking £67 form my bank trying to buy travel tickets or something. payment was blcoked a new card on its way to prevent it happening again. very good service.

This is a SCAM. I called lloyds and they had never heard of this number.

Had 3 calls from this number, so rang Lloyds direct and they confirmed this IS one of their numbers & someone had tried to take £250 odd by money transfer from my account.  I think the people who are saying it's a scam number haven't checked it out for themselves.  The quickest way to speak to a human is to ring the Lost or Stolen card number on the back of your statement.  It begins with 0800.  They put you straight through to the Fraud Department.  You may have to hold for some time before they answer, it took me about 20 minutes, but it's worth it for peace of mind.

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER I just spoke to Lloyds and this is a scam, phone lloyds on their normal number (on the back of your card) to verify for your own piece of mind but also because it may be that the fraudsters have managed to get info from you some how and may try and take your money. Lloyds have a brilliant team in their fraud department and as a victim in the past I know they will not leave you an automated message they will leave you a personal message if they do try and get hold of you.
