Thank you.  I've told Benson that I will expose her,  her companies & her associates. She wanted an agreement to be signed with the withdrawal of 'allegations' made listing down BBC, my local paper,Police, other TV channels, which I've done work for..etc etc...She tried to have me arrested for harassment which has back fired so now I am going completely on the offensive. I shall keep you informed

Have you tried Nicholas Helen social affairs editor of the Sunday Times. He does articles on this type of thing, and effects on people's life's .

Jon, my elderly parents in law have also paid money over to Direct Law, for a Trust Fund regarding their private owned property. Filled in some forms, paid a sum over (no idea how much, will have to check with the wife) and they never heard another thing. Hate to think of them being conned and scammed from their hard earned cash. Wonder if there is anything that can be done as redress?

if you have had dealings with charter legal you are to late they sent letter to say they have gone into liquid dation and hade the cheek to wish us a merry xmas and happy new year

charter legal contacted us and were very covincing so me and a friend took out contracts with them.We both paid ower fees one of £2995 and one of £3025 we got the first lot of paperwork then nothing we tried contacting them but kept being told we would be contacted but again nothing.So my friend started legal proceding they were supposed to go to court in january he has just had letter from them to say they have gone into liquiation.

The lady called Katie (says her surname is Smith) who answers as receptionist at the number advertised on the Donny Shop for the call-centre recruitment - she says she is the receptionist for four companies, including Charter Legal and Indeed Law and that she is not aware that Charter Legal is ceasing trading. She is still taking enquiries for job applications in its call-centre.  The Indeed Law group-talk-coordinator Alanna Hart did not mention it recently.  The receptionist at the Lincoln office, gives the name Anna, says Charter Legal is not in liquidation and asked Alanna Benson but then said she, Benson, was in a meeting so she could not confirm but she, Anna, had heard nothing to that effect

Liquidation is now verified:  Charterhouse Legal Ltd is being struck off by Companies House as from Dec 15 to take effect this month

Companies House has now published a new notice to the effect that Charterhouse Legal is not now to go into liquidation:

'16 Jan 2016 Compulsory Strike-off action has been discontinued.
Striking-off action discontinued.   Cause has been shown why the above company should not be struck off the register and accordingly the Registrar is taking no further action under section 1000 of the Companies Act 2006 pursuant to the Notice dated 14/01/2016'

As of yesterday there is a County Ct judgement against Charter Legal. They are still trading. For those who received a letter from Alana Benson about liquidation- read the wording carefully! It says words to the effect of "the defendant in this case is going into voluntary liquidation". That much is true - but with Direct Law 4 u so yet another apparent deliberate deception designed to stop customers pursuing them. I will post more up later.

You must inform us all eventually whether your friend actually receives any renumeration awarded by the court or the liquidator;  whas the court case heard at Lincoln County Court?.  In early January a lady who idenitified herself as Ms Benson said she had not heard of any pending civil case against the company.
