KW - maz replies to K W| 1 replyThis lot phoned my dad and he arranged a visit. Fortunately he told me twenty mins before the meeting and I cancelled it as we knew nothing at the time about this company. The local rep then rang and told my dad it would be beneficial to speak to him. When I googled the company I am so glad we cancelled. I rang trading standards and consumer direct and they said they have a lot of complaints about them. Yesterday the local rep rang again from his home number and was adamant that my dad would need to speak with him (being the rotweiller i am I told him in no uncertain terms that dad would not want to talk with him!!). Phoned trading standards again and will poss be making a statement later. They are preying on vulnerable people. They get the numbers from the phone book (dad is on Telephone pref service). Makes me so cross.
- K W replies to mazmaz Thankyou for your comments and for sharing your experience. This helps other readers when they too, search the internet.

KW - K W replies to AnonAnon Thankyou for your comments. You said last week that you would let all Readers know by the end of this week who Express Law Ltd are now members of. Would this be the Large National Organisation that you claim to be a part of to your clients? What is the name of this Organisation? Are you able to affirm the above details?
We also asked you why Express Law Ltd based in Armthorpe, Doncaster are no longer members of The Society of Will Writers (SWW). As you haven't replied, we can confirm that Express Law's membership from the SWW has been REVOKED. This is due to the fact that Express Law were not complying with the Society's strict Code of Practice.
The advice given on the telephone from The Society of Will Writers to Clients of Express Law Ltd is to go to the Local Trading Standards.
Thankyou for reading.
KW - Anon| 1 replyWhen have we claimed to be part of a large national organisation? And we was not revoked from the society of will writers. Also do you know how easy it is to become a member of the society of will writers! It's a 4 week course that any one can do so please stop repeating the same questions. Also we call people and offer an hours worth of free legal advice on how to protect your home from the community care act. It is free. After the consultaion you are able to protect your home with our products you are under NO obligation! Seriously you are acting like we are murdering people! We help people and if we was doing wrong why have our firm been successful for so long? Why have trading standards not shut us down? Also I know your saying about sows but apart from that are you merely basing all this on hearsay? Minority and majority come into this which you are not understanding!
- Ann Onnimus replies to K W| 1 replyThey use both addresses, the Armthorpe one appears to be a call centre where dozens of young girls spend the day phoning potential victims.
Check out their twitter page http://twitter.com/#!/express_law , it is interesting that they follow a lot of Alzheimer and elderly care charities. Are they looking for people to target with their vastly overpriced services? - Ann Onnimus replies to Ann Onnimus
- K W replies to AnonAnon Thankyou for your comments. You, as a Telesales Operative, may not have claimed to be part of a large national organisation, however, we have it on good authority that the consultants that represent your company do claim this to clients.
Express Law's membership being REVOKED from the Society Of Will Writers is something that cannot be denied; this is not hearsay. Please feel free to ring them on 01522 687888 and make your own enquiry.
"Also do you know how easy it is to become a member of the society of will writers! It's a 4 week course that any one can do" Well this is a reassuring to members of the public.
You call people out of the Telephone Directory (including TPS) and claim to be making an awareness call with regard to the Community Care Act and that all advice is free.
Why do you ask such personal questions on the phone? For example: Age, Marriage Status, Have you got a Will/Trust already, Are you mortgage free, Do you have any equity release. Surely you do not need to know all of this if you're only going to give free advice.
These questions appear that they would be asked to establish if they would be suitable for certain products that your company sell. Therefore you are touting for business and to call someone on the TPS is against the law.
"If we was doing wrong why have our firm been successful for so long? Why have trading standards not shut us down?" These were also the famous last words of the staff that were employed at Minster Legal Services (UK) Ltd, Legal Assistance Ltd T/A National Legal Assistance and Legal Assistance 4 U Ltd T/A National Legal Assistance.
Thankyou for reading.
KW - Anon| 1 replyI have never asked any one if they are mortgage free or have equity release! We ask age there marital staus and there postcode! What good authority is this on as you are being told some real [***] and are falling for it big time. Also our data is from th national database so yet another lie you have been told. How about you book a consultation and see what we do for yourself?!
- K W replies to AnonAnon Thankyou for your comments. Please could you explain if your data was from the national database, how you are calling people on the TPS? Surely they wouldn't be on the list!
Thankyou for reading.

i agree how does it look to the public saying its only 4week course and anyone can do it!!!!! you do ask if married, own home have mortage etc cos if not then not worth going cos cant sell owt, so you are going to sell!! you also keep phoning and phoning to get them to change mind, it is against the law to call people on tps but yet you still do!
you dont have no experince at this what so ever you just want big wages from poor elederly people and i hope it happens to some one u know so you no how it feels, none of this is bull s**t just YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
----
Anon replies to sexbomb - 31 Mar 2012
Wether it looks good or not that's the facts for every member of th soww! NO we do not ask if they have a mortgage! I think I know as I do work there!! We ask if there married and yes we ask if they are a home owner as if the was council how could the community care act effect them? We also only call people once. And tps have to reregister every 6month and many of them don't! Hence why they get through. Like I said to kw why not book an appointment yourself then you can get your facts right.
And yes I enjoy my big wages. And it wouldn't happen to me as I have my home protected with them thank you!

"We ask if there married"
The general standard of grammar these days is deplorable.
"We also only call people once. And tps have to reregister every 6month and many of them don't! Hence why they get through."
People do not need to 'reregister' once on the TPS scheme. It's for life. You are a cold caller and a con artist and not a very good one.
If you are typical of this out-fit I would suggest everybody steer clear of it.

Anon Thankyou for your comments. You have been misinformaed: http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/whatistps.html
What is TPS?
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is a central opt out register whereby individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS.
The original legislation was introduced in May 1999. It has subsequently been updated and now the relevant legislation is the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
Do I need to renew my subscription with the TPS?
No, the service is intended for live telephone numbers. As such, provided your telephone number remains active it will remain registered with this free service.
Thankyou for reading.

so answer one thing then which you never have, how can you charge what you do, when its like 3 times over what a legal company charge???? my parents have got wills, lpa & trust for under £1000 but yet you lot would charge around £2500 or more!!!
as for the tps thats a load of crap im on tps & you do not have to update every 6mths at all, you just get old phone books etc and call them.
And i know all my facts about you lot so really dont need one of your slime ball men coming round chatting S**T about something he or she learnt in 4weeks!!!!
----
sexbomb replies to Mr Stapleton. - 01 Apr 2012
I just said the same thing to ANON about the tps as im on it and you do not need to update every 6mths!! There is no law we are breaking! Seriously all of you give your head a shake! Go play with ur kids or do your cleaning, surely we can't be that important to you! Actually let me guess your all loners who have nothing better to do but sit on ur computers making lies up. Jesus I feel really sorry for you all. Why not fight a better cause like murderers or pedophiles? Also u don't want an appointment as you would then have to admit ur lies are wrong! X

not pissed off at all! as you put... we charge what we want! still never answered question why you charge that much when its no way near that ANYWHERE. Reason is so you all can get big wages so yes you are breaking the law!
please dont feel sorry for me, i have fantastic life, im not or no one else on here is telling lies that would be you and your scamming company.
Have an appointment hahah dont make me laugh and thanks for the x put no thanks!!!

Nan replies to Anon - 01 Apr 2012
"We can charge what we want". That just sums up your grubby little company. It's ok to rip off elderly and vulnerable people because "we can charge what we want". We can lie to them, take thousands of pounds off them for worthless bits of paper because "we can chage what we want" and "we are not breaking any law"". It's ok to abuse anyone who challenges our nasty, underhand, methods because "we are not murderers or paedophiles". As someone else said on here if your are an employee (or indeed the employer) at this company, people would be advised to steer well clear.

sexbomb Thankyou for your comments. The only reason that Anon and other employees of this firm come on this forum is because most probably they have been told by Martin Smith and Andrew Young that all the cancellations are due to this forum.
We are surprised that Anon has been allowed on here to comment, as ex employees have had their knuckles wrapped just for looking. We're still waiting for Anon to explain their need to come to the forum in the first place, was it to look up Express Law's website we wonder? As they stated earlier that they had their home protected with them.

Anon Thankyou for your comments. We don't doubt that the Telesales Operatives are good hard working people, however, they may be unaware of what the Consultant's do/say in the clients homes and they may also be unaware of what the Legal Department produce. You, as a Telesales Operative, are only aware of what your Supervisor and Management tell you and what you find in your own research.
The facts are clear to see here, you have fabricated the truth and now that you have been corrected, you (like many others from your firm) wish to leave it be and run away. Or is it the case that you too have had your knuckles wrapped from you bosses? Due to the more clicking you do to come to this forum, the higher it gets ranked in search engines.
This forum has grown and is now, quite big, the word is getting out there. We, along with other posters, will continue to have our say and be persistent with our mission to Protect the Elderly and Vulnerable, with this and many more forums like it.

Hi all me and my parents have all protected our houses with express law and found that after some research we could of got it cheaper elsewhere. Yet I was very happy with express law and the consultant that came to our home was very professional and knew exactly what she ( sue Rodgers) was on about. The paper work arrived promptly and has been checked over after seeing this forum and it is all legitimate. So I felt I must give express law a bit of support. I am in my 60's and do not wish to get into this discussion but wanted to have my say. Thankyou

Mick Thankyou for your comments. We assume that you haven't read all 77 pages of this forum, regarding the information on the Directors of Express Law (Martin Denis Smith & [John Louis Trotter - now resigned]) who previously worked for NLS Sheffield Limited who scammed £14 million out of franchises alone, who also both ran Wills & Trusts UK Limited which is now in compulsory liquidation and (Martin Denis Smith & Andrew Young) who ran and worked for Minster Legal Services (UK) Ltd which scammed £1.1 million from clients and has also been wound up by the High Court.
We have spoken to The Society of Will Writers, whom Express Law were members of until their recent membership was revoked for breaching their Code of Practice, and upon their advice, any/all clients of Express Law should go to The Trading Standards.
We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the service, you must be one of the few lucky ones.

Thank you for your mature respond mr kw but unfortunatley I don't see what any of the facts you have just said have anything to do with express law. How do you know the gentlemen in question have not changed? What facts do you have on express law?

Mick Thankyou for your comments. We are a group of people and not an individual person, formed to Protect the Elderly and Vulnerable.
As we said, we are pleased that you received a good service, we would expect nothing less when you pay above the odds. The fact that Express Law's membership has been revoked from The Society of Will Writers, rather recently, for breaching their Code of Practice, suggests that the people in question have not changed.
