Blimey... what a day its been in here !!
I would just point out that all I am doing is trying to help other people who have fallen prey to Britannia Law Limited, because I would not like anyone to go through the worry and anxiety which I did, I am a 60 year old woman, and thank goodness they have deleted my files so I will not have to go through the trauma of a Court hearing. But the fact remains that there are a lot of innocent, hard working people out there who are still going through it.

And David.... you really didn't do yourself any favours loosing your temper earlier, and I have to admit you were very polite on the phone the other day... and we managed to sort it out.... but the fact remains that other small business people are still being harrassed....and judging by your silly outburst earlier, its not a good advert for your company, now it is?

You need to understand that a lot of these people on here are struggling to hang on to their business, they are obviously going to fight for their livelihoods..

I’ve been contacted by Britannia Law regarding my rates just before Christmas, told them I wasn’t interested and then hung up.

A few moments later they called back and the man on the phone became very angry, I told them once again I wasn’t interested and not to call me again.

About 2 weeks later a bill from Britannia Law arrives on my doorstep, I called to say that even on the phone I told them I wasn’t interested and that I wouldn’t be paying the invoice.

He then threatened me with taking me to court for the sum unless I paid up, last week I received a letter along with a completed N1 small claims form attached.

Im so thankful I’ve found this forum, the information contained has been invaluable and due to this I won’t be paying them a penny. Due to this forum I can now sleep soundly at night with no worries about Britannia Law!

YES, they tried that one on me ,this forum is absolutely wonderful.This  company needs investigating into.I think anyone reading on this forum will now realise what scum there is around ,and BEWARE OF BRITANNIA LAW LTD.Athough I have not contributed  before I look on it daily.dont worry about them and hopefully they will end up in prison where they belong

Yes till today i haven't received any recorded post as promised. I have tried to explain this to your partners on many occasions, when ever and every time they called me and demanded payments, this happned nearly every other day, sometimes they called me 3 to 4 times a day. as you have said in if i haven't signed anything so application is invalid. So how come your colleagues are still calling and demanding payments from me.

Tell us how long ago was all this and how long did it take to get you the rate rebate?

They will keep ringing and harassing you but DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING.

It has gone quiet,do you think they caught up with the Britannia law ltd scammers?I have not heard anything from them lately.thank you for posting on here everyone,keep up the  good work.

Unfortunately it can take months and months for the DTI to close down a company...but once their reputation is ruined and it starts effecting their ability to take on new clients, it is highly likely they will just change their company name and continue under this new guise.

WHY IS THE JUSTICE SYSTEM SO SLOW?  Its quite maddening .but hopefully this forum has alerted people and they wont fall the scams.

*DONT PAY ANYTHING* - Our buisness has been recieving calls from this company too. Its hilarious! He calls himself marcus berriman and if you ask to speak to someone else he changes his voice! Hahahaha. I had them swearing at me down the phone and all sorts so its defonatly nothing to worry about! Just go along with it and wind them up In anyway you can. I said my name was micky mouse. Lol they loved it. Because after i said that apparently im going get "my head ripped off my shoulders" and they called me a[removed:lang] etc, etc.... and then they paused for about 20sec whilst i was laughing and calmly asked if my boss was in!!! WHAT A LOSER. marcus berriman if that is your name. Get a proper job and [removed:lang]! Ahahahahahaha but to some up. Dont worry about it people its a hox!! Dont be fooled and *DONT PAY ANYTHING

I think your right Imirie.. I don't think you will ever stop this type of scam... There must be loads
of similar companies doing the same thing.

We might not be able to stop the scams but we are able to to stop this company lol.

Your right J K  I've spoke to Marcus Berriman he is abusive and strangely enough he sounds like everyone else that's ment to work to work .  Maybe he's the one that wrote on here pretending to be me. Think he must have MPD lol.

yes these parasites will always be around.but I like to think we can make people aware of them, luckily I knew about rate appeals being free,so I didnt fall for it but my heart goes out to those who did.

It has suddenly dawned on you that people aren't as stupid as you'd hoped. My solicitor laughed at your pathetic attempt at forging an N1 form. I think Britannia Law Limmited are scared. I laugh at the abuse given to my business partner by your ill mannered staff.
