i have just found out that my apeal case will not be heard till march 2015 !!!!!!!!!

Our appeal won't be heard until 2013 at the earliest! And actually I really am a real person.. and I somehow doubt Britannia Law will be able to close down this site as the people on here are only telling the truth... I would love to add a lot more as they are actually watching these comments, but I will wait until Monday when I see the Solicitor, I would rather pay him the money than give a penny to Britannia Law.

Britannia Law wanted to bring my business rates down i was told over the phone end of november 2011 that payment will only be made after the appeal to VOA has been won. Also i was told i will receive paperwork to read through before anything goes ahead no mention of cancellation period. I clearly said over the phone i am not accepting this as a go ahead to do anything at that point i was told the paperwork will be sent and then taken from there. I did not recieve any paperwork. apparently the paperworks was received and signed for by some random signature NOT BY US! this was in dec 2011. Also was told that the recording of the telephone conversation is legally binding and will be used in court.

I have since been threatened with court action having received an N1 Claim Form if i do not pay £1000.

after speaking on the phone to them all action will be halted if i make £500 payment.

I am absolutely sickened by the tactics used by Britannia Law Ltd. We are a small struggling bussiness who cannot afford to pay these costs I would like some info on what to do.

Well I don't see how signing for a letter can in any way rope me into a legally binding contract. All it is is proof that I received the letter, not that i agreed with its terms. Don't you worry Kes, you definitely are not alone. We've all been seriously mistreated and misled by these people and we don't plan on just rolling over and paying up.

Your description of what happened to you is exactly the same as happened to us, these people are taking advantage of small businesses. When I received the N1 form I really thought I was going to have to pay but the solicitor says he is getting loads of these, and not all from Britannia... I think its a case of smoke and mirrors.
Did you know you can google N1 and you can print your own form?
The fact remains that if I have to go to court the judge will surely understand that we cannot be expected to pay over £1000.00 for a job not done and not likely to be done for years!
Maybe we should also contact Watchdog??

Will you identify the company a bit clearer?

There are several firms in the United Kingdom trading under the name Britannia Law, and it would be unhelpful to confuse them. Some of those firms are no doubt reputable.

Do you have a registered company name and company number for Britannia Law, the outfit that has been harassing you for money?

What is the postal address listed on correspondence?  What is the registered office address, and what are the names of the lead partners in the firm?

We have identified an immigration lawyer of Pakistani descent  who reportedly founded "Britannia Law", but it may be an different firm.

Today, the man claims to have no involvement whatsoever with Britannia Law. And yet official documentation for the company appears to contradict his claims.

Just checked one of their many letter heads and got the following information...registered company number...07621151. Full name of company...Britannia Law.. Address.. Foxhall Lodge, Foxhall Road, Nottingham NG6 6LH... No mention of lead partners or owners, I might just have a little troll around the internet myself to see what I can find...

Yes you are right my recording was also edited NO -WIN -NO FEES was definetly did not appear when they played the tape to me. I think we should all stick together and NOT PAY A PENNEY TO THESE SCUM BAGS.

The fact you have made this comment explains it all. You clearly do not read important literature such as terms which are very fair and clear to all. You enter into contracts then fail to read the terms then wish to blame everybody else but yourself slandering reputable companies in the process. This may seem a little un-professional that we respond on such a forum, however it shows we care about our reputation and will not allow a small minority for whatever reason to worry our genuine customers. It clearly states in our previous post that we DO cold  however our procedures make it practically impossible for any potential client to be misled. They have ample information, literature and advice along with a cancellation period upon which to decline our services. We can not be held responsible if once you receive the documentation you do not read it and act upon it. As stated previously we have a large client base and the few which require to cancel our services normally do so within the seven day period. A simple telephone call or email is all that is required. No recordings have been edited in any way and these can be scrutinized by professional analysts if you feel this is necessary. I notice JOHN how your full name and company name does not appear. I don't believe it is Britannia Law hiding at all....another hoax with many aliases.

Angela i can confirm that Britannia Law have neither the opportunity nor the facility to alter or tamper with any recordings. The recordings are there to help our management monitor our sales staff as much as they are to protect you as our client. You would also have received a copy of our terms via recorded post which we can prove. If our terms were not received at your premises then your contract is invalid. If they were then it would be your responsibility to read them and take action if you do not agree with the terms. Like i said it is impossible to mislead as you are covered by the contract laws of England and Wales and we endeavor to keep all existing or potential clients happy.
