- Diversity replies to Sillycow| 1 replyFirst of all i to have been taken for a ride by Proctor Law. As i see it the service they sell isnt a scam, they charge for a service that actually is free! Well we buy bottled water yet we can get it from the tap for free, doesnt mean we call Buxton water a scam does it! Its my fault for not knowing i could do this myself. My problem was the abuse and the threats which really showed them up for what they are! All i was asking for before i made a payment was the confirmation that they had applied, and the guy on the phone flew off the handle! Threatening me with bailiffs the lot, he clearly was used to reacting like that, it was at that point that i went on the offensive. As for the location of this company apparently they quickly moved rom nottingham and will now be trading in sheffield. All i can say is keep this thread going, it will help others in the future.
- SamHi i have been scammed by proctor law. Is there any way i can get my money back?
- sillycow replies to DiversityIt is fraud when someone edits an audio contract in their faver,it is a criminal ofence Proctor law ltd have done just that. When i first spoke Nottingham trading standards i was advised to report them to Action Fraud i did just but i do wish everybody wil do the same,as it might put these creatures where they belong!!
- Lib84Feeling so foolish as fell for this scam by OWENSON LAW. They contacted us and my colleague said yes initially then in the 'cooling off' period reverted to no. We stupidly thought okay, they can save us doing something and engaged with them and paid a fee of around £400 at the beginning of the year and have heard nothing since. We called them a few times and got some info from them, but now nothing, no site, the phone number is not accepting calls etc. Feel a total plank that we fell for it. Any advice would be welcomed.

- CEH| 1 replyAbsolutely devastated, been ripped off by these scammers (Owenson Law) and feel like a right muppet.
The websites proctorlaw.co.uk and nottinghamlitigation.co.uk (Owenson Law's most recent website) are/were both registered to an Aaron Lee at Unit D Mercury Court, Daniels Way, Nottingham, NG15 7LL. A search of this address is flagging up as CP Berrys Groundworks Ltd. CP Berrys website was set up by a IP Logik Ltd owned by Peter Wilding who's recently dissolved company Evolve Technology services created the origional owensonlaw.co.uk website. I tried calling CP Berrys to speak o Aaron but it rings through to voicmail. Can someone help me peice this together or any advice woud be much apreciated- Caller: Owenson Law
- Ruchi Sandhu| 11 repliesI got a call from Owenson Law and stupidly fell for the scheme. They were so convincing that I would get a large amount back on my business rates....(been charged to much on business rates).
They have been in contact with me over a six month period so I didn't think anything of it. I received letters from VOA confirming the application...so I considered to be fine. Then received a letter from Voa with a proposal to move forward, I call Owenson Law and surprise surprise the number is dead!!!! I look on-line and I find this site!!!!
I feel very stupid and silly for falling for it...Normally I never do anything like this....
If it sounds to good to be true.....IT IS!!!!!- Caller: Owenson Law
- SD replies to Ruchi Sandhu| 10 repliesJust to let you know that Brittania Law and Proctor Law both have 'proposals to strike off' at Companies House. I can not find Owenson Law though.
The new company taking over is called IDBC Ltd. Also unsurprisngly in Nottingham although the registered office is in Derby. As with the other companies, no accounts ever filed and so will presumably be getting struck off soon. - Ruchi Sandhu replies to SDThanks......After seeing all the comments, I'm so angry!!! I just can't believe people can be like this...stupid me!!!
Have reported this, I know I won't get my money back, but let hope they catch up with these people and justice is done......

- Abramovich replies to SD| 8 repliesIDBC - They're onto me. Sent me an invoice last week which I ignored, they called me, I said I wouldn't ever pay anyone upfront and they became very aggressive. Their email was very badly written, warning me about police action if I swore at them. Calling me a little girl for hiding from them, they have called incessantly. Not too concerned but they are now mentioning my wife and kids. Classy.
- terry replies to Abramovich| 6 repliesRecord the phone calls then go the the police.
- Abramovich replies to terry| 5 repliesCheers Terry,
Police informed. - terry replies to Abramovich| 4 repliesGood luck and make sure you don't pay them a penny,
- Abramovich replies to terry| 3 repliesPolice have been to see me, and have called them. They weren't too thrilled, I gather. No, I won't be paying them a penny. From my research they've never actually taken anyone to court.
- terry replies to AbramovichNo and they never will cos it's all a scam. The only one's that should be in court is them.
- jake replies to Abramovich| 1 replyIm having a similar problem with a company called Laneset, someone came to see me signed me into a no win no fee contract and now im getting threatening phone calls from them asking for money. When I refused i have been threatened with bailiffs, court action additional fees, ccjs. I have called the police, gone to trading standards and also reported them to action fraud.
The interesting thing is trading standards are fully aware of them and have had numerous complaints as well - NishaPapaJ replies to jakeUnfortunately it takes the authorities ages to shut these scam companies down, they have to have a 'motion' lodged against them from various mps and council staff. All you can do now is ignore them.
- Kaybear| 3 repliesBeen reading with interest. It seems there is a new kid in town called IDC Ltd in Bolton. They contacted me a while ago, not sure if they are linked with IDBC but it's the same story. They also call themselves ID Consultants Ltd. Blatantly lied to me and when I argued they said they would pass my file onto their legal team.
- Bob_812 replies to Kaybear| 1 replyFuming and embarrassed at being ripped off by idc !
Just found this and got I feel embarrassed and angry,
My wife paid monies to idc which are based in Bolton, they told me I was going to got several thousand pounds back and it was guaranteed..... I have rang them up since finding this information to be told our claim is with the valuation office and hasn't even being looked at yet, I then rang the valuation office and they have told me that I will definitely not be getting any rebates and to report ths company to trading standards..... It may help if more people complained as they should nt get away with their tactics of mis-selling? - Paul Dawson| 1 replyIDBC spoke with receptionist who said they could send me info as it was no win no fee.
I have since had numerous phone calls, letters and emails demanding a sum of £942. They are a joke.
I will not pay them a penny until a court demands I do so. Bloody day light robbery! SCAM.
Stick together people and they will have to get real jobs like the rest of us.- Caller: IDBC
