    Angela,

Please call our office in order for me to look into this for you. It seems a long time to wait and I myself have not come across such a delayed target date, they normally range from 1-3 months. If this is the case then we can certainly bring that forward and if we fail in this then a refund in this instance shall be offered to you.

    Kind Regards

    Jeff,

Your post is not accurate at all. The only way that you would be taken to court is if you refuse to settle our invoice. We are not in anyway trying to charge you £850.00 but we do at the N1 stage have an obligation to list the potential costs should you lose. If you explain to Tradings Standards that you have entered into a Distance Selling Contract and all criteria has been met by Britannia Law then i would be amazed if they advise you to ignore us. However if they do give you such advice then im sure they would be more than happy to help you with the extra costs incurred from there ill advice. I would strongly recommend that if you are planning to ignore this matter in the hope it shall disappear then you should seek independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor. Previous posts state that our court forms are merely a scare tactic however I can confirm that failure to reach a satisfactory agreement with us will certainly result in us seeing you in court.

    John,

If your post is accurate and you did not receive our terms at your premises then this would invalidate your contract. This is something that can easily be clarified so please give us a call to discuss and im sure a few moments of your time can eliminate this issue for you.

    Regards

    Mick,

or John or Pete your comments are almost ridiculous. "rang Nottingham Police who informed me Britannia Law  Ltd is not registered at the post code they have given,or anywhere in Nottingham" If you wish to visit our premises we are there Mon-Fri 9am until 5pm. This post does not even warrant any further response.

    Terry,

A cancellation period is there and is also legally binding. If you required to cancel within 7 days then work would be stopped and your file cancelled. ITS THE LAW. All work carried out to that point would be at our own cost.

I am not wanting to pay you a penny nevermind me paying in instalments!

The way you have dealt with me from the start and everything that was said by you and to where this situation is at today CLEARLY shows to me that you are a very deceieving company trying to use legal ways to cover your backs so that you can take your so called 'customers' to court. ie you record conversations and send recorded delivery.

I don't understand why your replying to all of us trying to show you are the victim in all this. You must have 1000s of clients why waste your weekend on us. The people that are affected by this know whats the truth and we will take this as far as it will go.

Blimey... Fancy Britannia Law working past midnight!
I don't know why they can't trace our file as my name is ....Val Farhall and my son Nick Farhall runs the business in question, so how come they can't find our file? All this stuff about they want me to contact them, well, I sent a recorded delivery letter mid November, which they signed for on the 23rd November, but no mention of my letter was made on the "FAILURE TO RESPOND TO THIS LETTER MAY RESULT IN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS' letter which I received on the 12th January..along with the form N1...threatening County Court judgement , or at the very least instructing Bailiffs to visit my business....so what's the point of contacting them when they dont even acknowledge receipt of my letter cancelling the contract.
I am seriously tempted to counter-sue for harrasment!

I have emailed the owner of this site enquiring as to whether there is an attempt to close down this invaluable site and awaiting their reply... I have also emailed Watchdog.
    Watch this space!! :-)

This is an obvious attempt at fraud on Britannia Law's part. We have had the same situation with our business, whereby they rang us after the cooling off period claiming the business owner had signed and returned the forms, which we didn't even receive. They will use aggressive tones, bullying tactics to scare you into paying up as about 80% of people often do! When we asked them to provide proof of their claims that they possess signed documents from our business owner they hang up the phone. Cowards! Furthermore they will use condescending tones to aggravate you the point where you might speak out of turn. Please do not be intimidated by these vermin! No paperwork was signed, there was no legally binding agreement in principle, DO NOT PAY THESE SCUMBAGS A PENNY! JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL!

Attention please everyone, we've been contacted by

    Britannia Law Ltd

    Registered address:

    18 Whittier Road
    Sneinton
    Nottingham
    Nottinghamshire
    United Kingdom
    NG2 4AS

    Director:

Ms Amy Bainbridge DOB: March 1982

    with regards to this matter!

I've been on the receiving end of this shameful type of company many times before, and been unsuccessfully sued by a similar company.

This type of company is shifty often working on the lines of the law. They won’t leave you much for a counter claim case and it would more than likely be a waste of your time and money attempting to do so, should you find yourself with vast abundances of money and wish to claim against them free to do so purely for your own pleasure.

This company is attempting to deceive honest hard working class people, into believing they are some large firm with many employees working in many departments, when infact they rent space in a multiple let shoddy office block in the back and beyond of Nottingham. The company is not even registered to the premises of where they operate; instead the registered address as identified above refers to a rather dilapidated “student” type rental property in a lower class area of Nottingham.

The simple fact that Britannia Law Ltd (Anonymously – Notice they don’t have the decency to name the person with the big mouth) see’s the necessity to come on here and attempt to defend their corner (with terrible grammar I may add), only serves to discredit further the alleged reputation they’ve gained in the 7 and a bit months they’ve been incorporated.

I would recommend to everybody in the situation as outlined in these posts contained on this forum, not to contact Britannia Law Ltd in any way with regards to any correspondence received from them. (This comment will prompt a response from Britannia Law Ltd’s unnamed literacy student, to feel the need to once again tell you that if you ignore them they will issue a small claims court claim against you.)

It is understood that a naïve / young person may feel the pressure and buckle to this type of company, and that’s exactly who they target. It’s a very sad fact that these people can pray on honest hard working people, especially at a time when honest people are being forced out of their homes.

Different departments of Britannia Law Ltd make me cringe, do these fools think we’re fools?

So far through what I’ve seen they have the following Teams & Departments.

    A Sales Department
    A Customer Services Department
    A Legal Department
    A Valuation Department
    A Customer Services Management Team
A Legal Team (That must cost a few bob surely?)

I could more than likely find a few more if I really tried, although I feel no further requirement to spend anymore time on this joke of a company.

Val, John and whoever Britannia Law has asked to contact them to identify who you are, I’d advise you not to do so. The fact they can’t identify you from your name proves they’re not going to be Kavanagh QC when / if (which I hope for their sake they’re not stupid enough to do) any of these cases ever appear in a UK small claims court.

All the best everybody, and don’t let these fools intimidate you.

I'd also be interested to know what they're claiming against the owners of this domain for; you can't sue somebody for hosting something somebody else produced! But..... God loves a trier
