- Geordie Lee replies to Simon| 2 repliesSimon Simon Simon, it would appear that you are quite as bad as "David White" and "Angela Croot".
You have proved what sort of man you are abusing another persons mother when if you have a genuine gripe about the company, you should keep it professional.
I just hope this company will continue to act on the behalf of myself and all the other people who have understood the contract and paid up. - Simon replies to Geordie Lee| 1 replyHi Geordie Lee - or is it David?
Listen... I still find it strange why anyone who is happy with a service provided by someone who has cold called you for business, would deliberately go out of their way to let the world know how happy they are!
So you can rest assured your message is totally meaningless! - Geordie Lee replies to SimonSimon I assure you i am not david white, i was pointed to this link by my wife who like the people on here is very sceptical about Brittania Law.
However, the service i have received at this stage is nothing short of excellent. I have paid my representation fee and now await the best outcome from the case.
If we do not make a saving i assure you my wife will be very unhappy with me and not the company as i was explained everything as it has happened so far.
You are showing that all you are interested in doing is putting the company down and dont want to hear from genuine customers who are happy and fully understood the terms of the contract.
I aappreciate it must be difficult for ex military persons to find things to occupy their minds but this isnt iraq and you are entering into a pointless conflict. You would be best going down the correct channels - terry replies to Geordie Lee| 4 repliesHow come if we have 7 days to cancel BUT have to pay if they get acknowledgment from valuation office, so why is it that they've applied and received acknowledgent within the first 5 days?
- Geordie Lee replies to terry| 3 repliesTerry I cant possibly answer that, I have just pulled my 1st letter out and also the government letter and they too are dated only 2 days apart, however, when i called in within my cooling off period (from memory i think it the 3rd day) i was told if i was unhappy i could still cancel and it would have to be in writing
- Simon replies to Geordie Lee| 2 repliesStill finding it very weird why you would want to defend a company which has cold called you!
Look everyone, anyone can appeal their business rates with the valuation office themselves, here's the link : (copy and paste it into your web browser)
http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/d ... nesslink.gov.uk
Why on earth you would need illiterate fools to do it for you is beyond me, and why they feel they can charge ludicrous sums for doing it for you is also beyond me.
Infact (light bulb moment)
If anyone on here would like me to dispute their business rates for them, I'll set up a company this afternoon charging a set £100 fee per business. The terms would be £100 non-returnable regardless of whether the case is heard or not by the valuation office, you will then be provided with all standard response documentation received from the valuation office to guarantee my work?
Sound fair? - Sue Lilliput sandwich shop| 6 repliesI have worked with 2 of these companies and the first one was horrible tbh. I was sceptical when Brit Law rang me and offered service but it was alot cheaper in fees and said what i get back is mine to keep. I have looked on this site as my neighbour new i had taken this contract up but i have received a call stating when my target date is and when it needs to be sorted by from my account manager it all seems to be real and above bored to me will keep you posted on progress-Sue :)
- Geordie Lee replies to SimonSimon I am merely putting across my own story, like everyone else on here.
- Simon replies to Sue Lilliput sandwich shop| 4 repliesSue, could you send on here the contact details of Lilliput sandwich shop so we can verify your existence?
Thanks - Simon replies to Sue Lilliput sandwich shopSo if Britannia Law Limited were a lot cheaper than the previous company you dealt with, im guessing you'd agree that my proposed £100 charge is exceptional value for money?
What’s even more exceptional is that you could fill out the form yourself, FOR FREE!! Now that's what I call value! - cathy replies to SimonI just read the terrible things David White said ,on the previous page about Angela and Val,Sounds rather threatening and slanderous .If he ever says things like that about my parents. I would sue him for slander and report him to the police.I hope those two ladies do just that.good luck girls
- Sue Lilliput sandwich shop replies to Simon| 2 repliesPardon? I do not wish to be rude or part of any games just adding my experience so far i do not feel the need to prove my existance on here as it is not myself under investigation! The other company i foolishly went with were called Higgins & Thomas. They made out it was no win no fee also and then rang me for a yearly fee annually for 2 years, they also stated they wanted 25% of any rebate that i would definately get!! So as i didn't get anything back i just ended up owing them and they terrorised me for payment. Didn't get resolved think they just gave up.
- sue-lilliput replies to Simonalthough to be fair Simon you could probably do that and gain gullable customers definately cheaper than the rest lol
- Simon replies to Sue Lilliput sandwich shop| 1 replySue, due to the fact you've instantly taken up the defensive when asked to confirm your validity on here, I'll guess you're probably David White too? Along with a few others commending Britannia Law limited on here.
Providing your business contact details on here would not harm your business if it exists at all, infact it would probably gain you some publicity! Certainly gaining Britannia Law Limited some publicity... - Sue Lilliput sandwich shop replies to SimonNo i am not putting details up with other things that have been put on here by Mr White i do not think it would be a good idea. I'm not being defensive and would not dream of writing anything like what has been written by him as i find it very rude as i said not getting involved with others disputes frankly i do not have the time i shall pop by and check how others are getting on one way or another. Hope your issues shall get resolved.
- imirie replies to Geordie Lee| 1 replyI'm sorry to say but these companies claiming that their fee is only payable if "if they were to get a valid letter of acknowledgement for the valuation office agency" or the valuation office sets a date for them are still opearting within the remit of a scam. These companies know all too well that the valuation office has to acknowledge your right to appeal and will give you a appeal date reagrdless of whether or not you are entitled to a reduction in rates. Often the appeal date can be a year or two away - by which time the company will have dissolved and taken your money. Even if the appeal date is set sooner the company never turns up to represent your claim and fight your case - how can they - they have no expertise in the area at all! They are only ever interested in pursuing new clients in order to get more 'upfront' fees from them. The model of this type of business is purely parasitical - it is based on making business owners angry that they might be overcharged and then greedy that they may be entitled to a rebate and reduction in rates. They largely prey on these two emotions and the naivety of businesses by claiming to be professionals in this field. When pressed they can't give examples of other businesses who they have got substantial reductions for - or if they can, maybe it is literally a handful of companies they have worked for, which is hardly a good record when they may have hundreds and thousands of clients on their books. In some circumstances your business rates may actually increase as a result of a sham surveyor putting in a appeal on your behalf. Again, the company does not act responsibly, nor do they care - it is and always will be the upfront fee that keeps the organisation going, despite the salesmen telling you that this fee covers administrative or clerical fees associated with filing and representing your appeal and that they do not profit from it and only profit from the commission they charge you once they receive your rebate/reduction. Smoke and mirrors. It makes no difference either that the company may employ 65+ people, look at previous rating scam surveyors Oldfields and Strattons, who employed hundreds of employees yet still where found guilty of defrauding thousands of businesses out of millions of pounds in the UK. Strattons operated on the 'no win - no fee' smokescreen - and businesses paid once the valuation office set a date for an appeal. The larger the organisation, usually the more money they can spend on legal representation that they need when the sh*t hits the fan, although this seems not to be the case here. However, when all is said and done a scam is a scam is a scam. It's not a new one, nor a particuarly sophisticated one and my guess is that the company will close very soon in order to not draw much more attention to themselves.
- terry replies to imiriethey should wait 7 days before applying to the valuation office to give people time to cancel but then thats how they scam us.
- john replies to Geordie Leecount yourself lucky, as for me i haven't received anything through recorded post. not a single letter only payment demands on the phone.
- Mr price| 3 repliesbrittania law approached my business before and I signed up and after liasing with the valuation office on several occasions brittania law got me a substantial rebate and a considerable reduction in my future Payments. I deem the service outstanding!
- SteveThe above comment was quite obviously posted by the scammers. Who on earth would google a number if they have had a good service? Answer..........no one. For Gods sake..............
