thought we had heard the last from prat-annia law.I just had a call saying the bailiffs are coming tomorrow to collect £1100 worth of stock from our shop. Maybe business isnt going so well if they continue to chase us after months of peace.Hopefully people are becoming wise to these scams!!

I have only just found this site, and am breathing a small sigh of relief. My problem with britainnia law started a few months back, after entering a verbal agreement on the phone I very soon realised that this was a wrongun company-the guys that were ringing me were shouting at me and put the phone down on me on numerous occasions. Emailed them a few times-email address doesn't appear to work. Spoke to the FSB and police officers that i know, they told me to ignore, got a court claim form from them that says "not yet issued" but today countrywide bailiffs have called saying the case has been to court (I did not receive any letter) and that they are coming tomorrow to seize goods up to the amount I "owe". I have been back on the phone to FSB, they told me to find out which court-countrywide bailiffs don't have that information and britannia law says everyone that could help us today is in court!!!! I can't actually believe a company like this is allowed to carry on. Horrible nasty people that will hopefully get some nasty diseases and die painfully coz people like this do not deserve anything better.

I just spoke to the FSB as I'm in exactly the same predicament (although I don't know when u posted this) but they said the tools of your trade cannot be seized!

Ive just been threatened with countrywide bailiffs-apparently they are coming tomorrow-when asked which court they got the warrant from and what the case no was-they said they didn't have that information!!

We too have had a threat of bailifs coming round tomorrow to sieze goods to the value of our "debt", this was about a month ago now and we're still eagrly awaiting their visit. I really hope they do show up so I can smack the gobby [***] in the mouth! **Sigh, argh well I guess It'll never happen.

Thanks -I do not wish this on anyone but it's nice to know that I am not alone. Well I have waited all day for the phone call back from Britannia to tell me which court the warrant has come from-it never came! Funny that!

Hi Queenie, your dealings with brit law sound exactly the same as ours,and most others on here. I had thought we were rid of them after no abuse from them for the last 3months.
The call yesterday will be a last ditch attempt to collect more cash so im not expecting a bailiff to visit today. Brit law said we too didnt turn up for court but again thats all crap.
I'll post later to let you know what happens but i suspect its another empty threat along with 'ripping my head off if i dont pay'.  Stay strong!

could this be Owenson Law too!   Exactly same setup---- save money by lowering company rates....letter saying we owe £450 for the lowering of rates as they sent a contract and we apparently signed up over the phone....threats of their 'legal department' and more recently the 'county court' called us.... but we caught him out by asking which company? (a bit later in the conversation) and the idiot said 'owenson law'

Such a pathetic way to make a living,everyday screaming threats and abuse.He obviously hasnt heard of the saying 'what goes around comes around', god help them all when they get what they deserve.

The bailiff's rang to say they were coming to take £1100  of goods from my business (I told them good luck and put the phone down) but they never turned up suprise surprise!! Shame really as I had a couple of very big guy's waiting for them.

Thankyou Tracey, no one has shown as yet. So angry that they can still be doing this to people. If We had missed the first court date letter, there would have been a letter from the court to tell us we'd missed it , then a letter from Brit law to tell us they were passing it on to their bailiffs, then a letter or 2 or 3 from the bailiff company to give us a chance to pay up ( IF all this was legitimate AND we actually owed any money) . Do people seriously fall for this??? I hope not!
