- denjitWe have just found that my elderly mum has been a victem of fraud by two different companys Free and Easy Lifestyle and Poundsaver .This appears to have happened more than once ,last year and again this year .
Pound saver took £69 and £1.60 last year and again this year, by looking into this we found that a company called Free and Easy took £99 last year .Co-incidently they have sent mum a brochure today saying renewal is due .She never joined in the first place at nearly 80 with no passport she is hardly likely to join a holiday club. What is worrying is that they gained access to her bank account.
I can only think its through the shopping channels that she occassionally uses as she never uses her bank card to pay in shops etc or even at the minibank.- Caller: Poundsaver/Free &Easy

- sammy1978I purchased an abtrak from abtrak direct. I received a call stating it was a courtesy call from Abtrak asking if I was satisfied with my product. The lady on the proceeded to ask if I'd like a free magazine with no substriction from free&easy. I confirmed there was no fee or cost of any description. I did not receive the magazine firstly&I wasn't concerned because I just thought it would be junk mail. Today I have found out that the company free&easy have took £99.99 out of bank account with absolutely no authorisation or confirmation from myself, as no way would I sign up for this-I believe thhis to be fraud. I have reported them to my bank who are very aware of this company. Free&Easy are a subsidery of Abtrak. Free&easy have admitted that it was missold to me. This has also happened to a colleague of mine who purchased an abtrak from the same company on the same day. I am aware of plenty of other people that have been truly scammed by this company due to me searching for them on Googl&forums being set up. It seems they are just taking the sum of £99.99 out and hoping that people don't notice as it was a few monthas back I purchased the Abtrak. This is an awful position to be in to have money taken out after no permission in any sense was given to withdraw money.

- Darren Williams| 1 replyI found on my bank mini statement a sum of £99.99 had been debited from my account from a company called free and easy. I have never heard of this company. There was no phone call no letter and never been on a website with there name yet they still got money from my account.
- ex wife of Philip Mason| 21 repliesAs an ex wife of the scammer Philip Mason I fortunately had the sense to photo copy a variety of documents prior to him leaving me for his " lady of no morals " Joanne Moores who was also married with a young child and also a director of the company. He has also left me with his old mobile phones with all his contacts on. I can supply all sorts of information to those that need it.
I was not aware of the extent of his dirty dealings at the time and due to him being extreamly difficult in the divorce proceedings have been unable to progress this disclosure sooner.
I am more than happy to assist those affected as much as I can.
He has stiched me up with his activities which border on criminal as well.- Caller: Press play, break 4 free, free and easy

- Franki| 1 replyI was contacted by phone, by Space Bags asking if i'd like to receive a catalogue and I said yes. This never came.
I received a catalogue from Free and Easy magazine a month or so later, I didn't know at the time that this was connected to Space Bags, and don't for sure now, but from comments here it seems it is.
I had been away on honeymoon when the catalogue arrive and when I did look at it I saw a letter that said it was a free trail and if it wasn't cancelled, I would be charged £99 per year which would be debited from my bank account!!! I called the number in the magazine in July, to cancel and was told that no money had or would be taken from my account. I asked how they had my account details and was told I had given them, which I most certainly had not!
Upon looking at my bank statement, I see I have been charged £99 on 28th July, which was AFTER I called to say do not under any circumstances take money from my account. This was refunded on 4th August. However, the deduction was never authorised in the first place and my account details were never given either.
Is this linked to Space Bags? If so, they should be shut down as they should not be passing on bank account details of their customers, it is absolutely disgusting! There are people who don't check their accounts and old people who wouldn't know how to sort this out that will suffer.
Here people are saying they have had this con in 2010, so why hasn't it been stopped???
I tried reporting the Fraud but apparently it isn't one! It's an absolute joke!- Caller: Space bags - re Free and Easy??

- Ex wife of Philip Mason replies to FrankiAll names addresses and credit card details if not given by purchasing an item from one of their many deals are bought from other companies. Philip Mason pays senior company employees cash for your details many of which have been introduced to him by his current sex object Joanne Moores who made the contacts whilst holding a senior position with a company called HHS.
these include the Daily mirror and ideal shopping.
He was closed down as Travel Steps by Essex trading standards and relaunched the company as Break 4 Free operating supposedly out of Spain. He has never lived in Spain but told UK tax he was to avoid paying tax here. He did the same on Spain so didn't pay any tax for years.
Unfortunately UK tax people aren't interested.
All holiday deals are time share related including the ones he had operating for the seedy Market in Thailand. These are operated through another married woman Anne-Marie Moore who also has children who he had an "inappropriate" relationship with who now lives in Australia. - AngryI've also become a victim of this attempted scam via space bags. When I got the letter and booklet I immediately suspected a scam and googled the 'free and easy' and found these hundreds of complaints, so i have stopped my card and informed my bank. I have been given this number 08454040506, try calling them and reporting this scam (consummer complaints) and get these companies closed down. Thank you for reporting this scam it has saved me £99.99.

- ANIFUMING! Just received this too - and recently purchased from Spacebags! Its disgusting what they are doing, and added hassle for innocent working people to sort out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Abusive phone call to free and easy tomorrow.- Caller: spacebags
- PaddyMe too. No phone call. I am a limited internet/catalogue shopper and I am always careful to say 'no use of my details by anyone else'. I spoke to Lauren before reading these posts - she agreed to cancel but if I do get hit for £99 Messrs Mason and Moores will be hearing from me as will the OFT et al.
- Liza BA letter was received from Free and Easy Holiday addressed to my mother in law a couple of days after she died suddenly. I rang and informed these people of the situation (approx 14th August 2011). The lady was very sorry and stated she would cancel everything. However now an amount of 99.99 has appeared on her bank statement from Free and Easy holidays. It is absolutely disgraceful. How are these people allowed to get away with this? This has just led to more grief for the family.
- ALSO SCAMMED replies to Darren WilliamsPress play, brake 4 free, space bag and others are all in on the scam, fight back I did they are a clever lot they break the rule of passing on details of your account I reported the scam two years ago
- ALSO SCAMMED replies to ex wife of Philip Mason| 9 repliesI feel for you, but why is no one giving this man his deserts? I would suggest you contact the Gov department. I C O I have, but waiting for a reply.
He and his co fraudsters must be laughing all the way to the bank. You should be ashamed of yourself, Phillip Mason. - Ex wife of Philip Mason replies to ALSO SCAMMED| 8 repliesUnfortunately he has no doubt registered the company in Spain which makes it very difficult to take legal action against.
If things get too difficult he will just close the company down and re open under another name hence "Travel Steps" "Pressplay Home Shop Club" "break 4 free" and now "Free and Easy".
He is unable to get a credit card account to process the money he takes from your credit cards so uses "Pressplay" account which is owned by
John Doe and his wife Agnes Doe,
Or the 2 call centres
Pressplay call centre in Barnstaple Devon
Angel call centre in Cornwall.
Both of these companies are responsible for clearing the credit cards so maybe someone needs to speak to the people who deal with their merchant accounts. - Brenda PoulsonHi I to have received a letter today from FREE & EASY LIFESTYLE and like others have just purchased space bags. Are these people been investigated? do we need to inform the police? can anyone enlighten me please.

- LeeI received a package from these thieves telling me my free trial has just started.
I phoned the number on the letter to find out what was happening.
I then was told I agreed with this contract over the telephone on October 14th 2011.
This is a lie.
I traced the credit card thieves to https://www.spacebag.co.uk/
These criminals gave my credit card details and my personal details to a third party to
try con me.
I only would holiday in Cornwall. I don't do foreign holidays and the last holiday I had was 12 years
ago, so I would not sign up for this trick.
I have passed all my findings over to the OFT.
I also cancelled my cards.
I use a credit card without liability, I transfer money onto it so I can purchase on line from my debit
card, so if I don't get the goods Santander can sort it out.
I received an email from https://www.spacebag.co.uk/ confirming they took my details
and passed them on. - nemrac replies to benjust had my bank statement and noticed a payment of 99.99 to fresh and easy. didnt have a clue who they were, got on line and was horrified to see that i had been scamed. phoned my bank and they have so kindly refunded me, but now i have had to cancel my card and can't get any money until the bank opens on monday. these people should be locked up.
n6f7 - JeanHi had a letter today same as all the ones reported. Had no phone call so far. Letter has a different number to the one above it is 0871 220 3097 I have rung and spoken to somebody called Kirsty and cancelled membership and it only took a minute. It does say calls will only cost 10p per minute. I will still ring bank to make sure they do not take any money tho.
They should be stopped as a lot of people will not bother with following it up. Oh by the way I also bought spacebags. Thanks for the other two addresses too I am going to send letters of cancellation to them also
