serious criminals are targeting the UK through Indian Call Centres

and no the the TPS is no use!

Have just had this number 091483 call me up and when I politely told them I was not interested the indian call handler gave me a load of abuse down the phone and called me all sorts! - Disgusting that you cant ban these people from calling you - stay clear they are organised con artists

Since giving these idiots a run around by giving them all false infomation I am now getting calls from a uk company claiming to want to send me my new phone ! the number  01706630404 - I would guess its a follow up to the con but when speaking to them they say they are in rochdale... be wary very wary if this number calls you

All of these cold calls are coming from call centres in India.  If you read the following you will see that many of the people involved are actually criminals and fraudsters selling and buying lists of intended victims.

Caller: Indian Call Centres

Its storm security in birmingham keep calling to offer burglar alarm apparently at no charge. its a scam and is to be avoided. Offering free tv but with hidden costs.

Keep getting this call from this 0914836 number. Looking at some of the other replies in this thread I have had a call from the alarm monitoring system - they ask you question about have you got a neighbourhood watch and then say police dont respond to alarms anymore adn they are wonderful because the  monitor the alarm and then they ring the police. DOnt know if this is the same company or not - if they do ring and I naswer it I Will do a 1471 and see who they are but the last no I had was from an 0161 which I did report on here

I dont even know how this makes my phone ring as it not a complete number but it drives me nuts. I get at least 1 a day and today I've had 4.

Told me they were from 3 mobile. Lady with an Indian accent. After many silent calls I was relieved to tell them I'm registered with TPS!!!!!! Fingers crossed no more calls so far.

Just an update on the number 0121 288 2552 - This number is linked to Xcel Driving Ltd, here's the link http://www.xceldriving.co.uk/contact_us.php . The company is directed and owned by a Peter Johnson (Pete), not sure where the Consumer Credit Bureau comes into it and Hilton Hall is his virtual office address, which happens to be 30-40 miles away from Birmingham.

6 Digit number, so no point in ringing it back

I have caller display, which when called from India displays as 'international out of area' which is why I don't get a number displayed.    When I now receive this display I do not answer the phone, but this is driving me crazy - as I do also have relatives in the USA  who may wish to contact me, so hopefully if any of my relatives ring, they actually leave a message on my answering machine.

I think it is time wasting and criminal no matter who is calling me from these call centres, I value my privacy and do not wish to be contacted by anyone unsolicited.  

S o who do I tell that I want this stopped?
