At 13.11 today i got a call from this number 091562  ?????   He said he was from Sky tv and needed to update my information???  spelling out my address and name asking me to say YES each time. I didn't like the way he spoke to me but when he said my surname before i was married i knew it wasn't Sky i'm known to them in my married name only. I have contacted Sky and no-one from Sky needs information i'm upto date.. who is this person?????

Got a call, said my name and asked if it was right, then asked me to confirm I'm a sky subscriber, then said they needed to confirm my details but gave me the wrong ones, instead of repeat correct ones I told them no and asked where they were calling from, the person then hung up. Seems to me that this may be a phishing scam.

Got the call tonight......just went quiet and then an answerphone (american voiced woman) said goodbye and dialled off

Got message on phone at 12.40 today and it just said Goodbye,

I was called tonight 7.35 from this number, asking if I was ? (my name), he asked if I had Sky TV, when I said no he put the phone down.  He sounded Indian.

Ive just had a call from this number at 18.08 on the 14/10/2010. When I answered it was blank for about 10 seconds then there was a recorded message saying good bye. I would like to know who it was that rang me

Got a call from this no. last night total silence

I've  just had this call asking if I had sky tv. I answered yes which I have and then he asked me to confirm my address. He read my old address ( I moved 6 years ago) so I told him no thank you and hung up. Sky have all my details. Very dodgy. I'm on TPS and don't often get these calls.

Had a call on 30.10.2010 from telephone number 091562. Funny little number I thought and dubiously answered the phone. It was an female Indian voice that spoke and asked to speak to me using my title and surname. I paused and reluctantly said yes. She then asked if I had sky T.V, to which I replied "no" in a questioning tone of voice, then she just hung up on me!
Annoyed at getting sales calls as i'm on TPS, but my gut feeling was that it seemed like a phishing scam targeting sky customers.

Received call 19:33hrs 03/11/2010 silent for about 10seconds then recorded voice said "GOODBYE" and hung up,

Have had these phone calls for months all from 091562,Indian people. They never ask for me its always 3 different names no one has heard of.  I have questioned who they are but then they hang up. I was called again today 10-11-10 at 14:04 after waiting she asked for Mr Jacks.Who???

Call tonight @ 17:55.  no one spoke and I hung up

Be very aware when answering calls starting with the digits 09; this number called me & was intercepted by my truecall unit, the details logged were -

28/10/2010 15:49 Incoming Unrecognised Caller - Hung up at Shield 00:00:06 091562 [Premium rate up to £1.50 per minute]

Take special note of the last part - [Premium rate up to £1.50 per minute], & this is for an INCOMING call.

Why does BT not just introduce a flat monthly charge, like it's anytime, mobile & overseas plans, whereby for a set fee you could call any number you wanted & it wouldn't cost anything. You'd pay if you wanted this service. This in turn would put a stop to companies changing their numbers to screw their customers, eg Sky, banks etc changing to 0844/0871 numbers.

This idea might bring howls of protest at lining BT's coffers even more, but I for one would be first to join up, that way nobody I called would be making money from me hanging on the end of a phone in a queue; if there is indeed a queue that exists, how do we know?????

The caller asked if he was speaking to (My Maiden Name) - Not used my maiden name for several years, everything is in my married name

I told him I was registered with TPS and to remove my details from his computer.

He said "No, No, No you are a Sky customer I can speak to you" (I do not have Sky)
I repeated I was with TPS and asked to talk to his supervisor

Again he repeated the Sky tv line, again I asked for his supervisor

He hung up

Called me at lunch time today, asking if I had Sky. I asked why he wanted to know and he replied telling me his company (didn't catch name) were doing a survey. I asked for his name he replied in an Asian accent Charles !!!. I told him I was unhappy with call and hung up.
Will try baring number on my phone.

Called 19.12 on 19th January 2011 - silence and then goodbye

We get regular calls from this number about 1.00pm and there is only ever silence when we answer.

Phone rung did not pick up but left an imprint of their number. This can be arranged by your telephone provider sometimes its free.

had 2 today  who the hell is it and how do they get away with it
