Got a call from this number answered and charged £1.70

I also have a 1.70 charge on my bill for a 3 second call I didn't make

I've just realised how I did inadvertently call this number - I was playing the iPhone Scramble app and accidently touched one of the adverts on the scores screen. It started a call which I ended straight away - but apparently not quickly enough to avoid a £1.70 charge!

Well, looks like it is also active on the bubble wrap game as well, kids have been playing and then four calls were made to the number - seriously not good from apple to allow this type of ad that is clearly expoititive will be claiming the cash back from apple asap!!!!!!!!!!

I think I accidentally tapped an advert and called this number too. The same £1.70 charge and this was in the Grindr app.

Have no idea how this numbers' <09825233330 and 09825232415> been dialed from my iPhone, looks like its dialed automatically, just realised I have been charged twice £1.70 x2, one on 08/Jan and other on 06/Jan. How can I stop dialing these numbers from iPhone??

Just been charged £1.70 from an inadvertantly catching an iPhone app advert. As far as I was aware, Apple are suppossed to approve the ads that come via AdMob and these kind of adverts have to confirm you want to dial before they dial.

Anyone know who we complain to ?

Yep got a call from this number to say I am being charged £1.70 for the call and it appears on my bill.  How do we stop these numbers calling or dialing out automatically.

App'ed a round 10 games to keep the kids quiet. One of them was the bubble wrap game. Noticed on my bill that i have been chanrged 4 times at 1.70 a pop. Not the kids fault but am going to transfer and give them my itouch now ! Guys, forget that. Just tried it again to see what ads popped up. No ads popped up in window but it still dialled the number automatically. All I did was pop 12 bubbles. Could it be that accessing a certain bubble triggers the call ? Please be careful. I have now deleted it.

This is a disgrace apple needs to stop this scam

I've just had the same issue - about £10 charged to my bill for dialling a number I didn't want to. It took me ages to figure out where the number was coming from before I realised it was a banner ad on one of the apps. I spoke to 02 and they said I needed to contact a company called payplus, but that they were not responsible themselves. This is outrageous. It's basically theft. These people must be making a fortune!

It would seem my phone has called 09825233330, 09825232415 and 09074734000 without me even realising. After checking out the number on google I find  I am not alone. I will not be happy if i have been charged the amounts that seem to have been made.

Like many other people, I found a charge on my o2 iPhone bill for £1.70 for a call to 09825232415. It happened when my young son was playing with some app or other.

I called o2, and they said to report it to phonepayplus.

They said the name 'think telecom solutions' was attached to the number. They have a website. Can't really work out what they do.

I asked o2 how i could stop the rogue call happening again and they offered to put a bar on calls to premium numbers. i accepted.

now i'm going to try and get my money back via phonepayplus.

Apple,O2 and their 'app' clients are laughing all the way to the bank

I also got charged for this £1.70 and they phoned me....not loving this at all really! Was flicking through my phone and this call came through to me but i didnt realise i had clicked the bloody thing! Then it was some woman rambling down the phone so i hung up and checked my online balance and it had charged me £1.70 for a phone call i did not make...so how are they going to sort this out??? Not a happy bunny folks lol

I inadvertently touched the advertising banner at the bottom of the screen on my iphone and in the background an application was launched which dialled this number. I ended up with a bill of £4.77 plus vat for a call I did not want to make. O2 were disinterested in my complaints and I have raised this with Apple.

I too have been charge £1.70, after using an application on my iphone, but TBh i don't know if i touched an advert banner or if the application just called the number on its own once opened
As already said o2 where less than helpful and Apple even lees so.
I would say this type thing is a plain case of fraud. Why have Apple allowed adverts banner that can easily be pressed by accident make premium call without you knowing, I have down loaded applications for my kids to use, god knows what could happen, you could end up with a £500 phone bill...?
I did get o2 to call bar all premium rate numbers, but it took some going as they didn't know if they could do it?!

THIS IS A SCAM NUMBER!!BEEN CHARGED FOR THIS CALL £4.45 THAT I DID NOT USE. I PHONED O2, TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE NO RECORDS OF THAT PREMIUM NUMBER. FORTUNATELY THEY WILL GIVE MY A REFUND AND WILL PUT A BAR ON MY PREMIUM CALLS, AND WILL INVESTIGATE THE CASE!
